Richie Grimes, better known as Rick, is a survivor of the outbreak who appears in The Walking Dead: Match 3 Tales.

Wake-Up Call[]
Glenn is jumping the roofs of the city, commenting on how bad it would be to fall down and be eaten by roamers. Suddenly he hears several gun shots in the distance and find Rick.
Father's Son[]
Father's Return[]
Sophia asks Carl if he wants to play hide & seek with Ben and Billy, but he states that he needs to stay behind to protect his mom. He says that although he likes Shane, he isn't his father. Just as Carl is about to play with Sophia, Rick returns.
For Strength[]
Rick hands Carl a pistol so that he can protect the camp when he and Shane are gone. Lori then gets mad for allowing Carl to own a gun. Just as they are discussing this, a horde of walkers invades the camp. After they take care of the walkers, everyone reassess what happened and notice that Amy had been bit,
Later that day, Rick and Carl are training, with Carl mentioning how he feels guilty that he couldn't protect Amy. Rick reassures him that that's not his fault and that he will become an expert marksman.
Shooting[]
Carl and Donna observes an argument between Rick, Lori, and Shane. Carl follows the men to see what else they'll discuss while Donna comforts Lori. He walks into Shane holding Rick at gunpoint, however Carl shoots Shane to protect his father.

On The Road[]
While travelling, Chris keeps expressing how they're dead due to Tyreese's decision. They soon come across a group of survivors. One of the survivors, Allen, calls over the leader, Rick, to look at the situation. Both groups introduce themselves, with Rick telling Tyreese, Julie, and Chris that they can join their group of they want, much to Tyreese's joy.

Boy Meets Girl[]
Rick and Hershel discuss how he was saved by Glenn in Atlanta, with Glenn trying to play it off as not that big a deal. Rick comments on the abundance of food at the farm and tell Tyreese how this is how he must've felt when their paths crossed. Carol is thankful for Hershal's hospitality. Maggie catches Glenn eyeing Carol.

Road Back To You[]
Rick hears a gunshot at the prison and goes to it, finding Tyreese holding Julie's corpse after a failed double suicide attempt with Chris. Julie reanimated shortly thereafter, only for Chris to kill her again. Tyreese, angered by the loss of his daughter, mercilessly beats Chris to death.
The next day, thinking about how Julie turned despite not being bit, heads to Shane's gravesite. On the way there, he encounters a small herd of walkers and kill them all, wondering how they all died.
His End[]
Rick reaches Shane's gravesite, and seeing that he did indeed turn, put him down once and for all.

The next day, Rick sees Tyreese moving, much to his shock.
Later that day, Michonne talks with Tyreese, joking about the new cell. Tyreese however is angry at the situation and blame both Michonne and himself for it. Michonne tries to seduce Tyreese again, but Rick interrupts them to say that Carol has slit her wrist. Michonne leave to check on Carol. Rick, seeing what's going on, accuses Tyreese of intentionally hurting Carol. This leads to the pair having a violent fight.

All By Ourselves[]
Rick and Lori talk about everything that had gone down with Thomas, how he seemed like a docile man to later be revealed as a monster. This hardens Rick's views and he tells Lori that no one, not even their fellow group members, can be trusted. Although Lori is skeptical of this claim, she agrees with Rick.
The Betrayer[]
Rick tells Tyreese that he's going to introduce Carl to Martinez. Tyreese tells Rick that he's likely inside resting as he had been working for most of the day; however, when Rick goes to look for him, he is nowhere to be found. Rick deduces that Martinez had gone back to Woodbury to tell them about the prison. Tyreese questions what Rick's going to do, only to be told to look after Carl.
Rick soon finds Martinez out on the road and runs him over. While Martinez is dying, Rick states that he'll do anything to protect his family, even if it costs him his humanity.

Warming Up[]
Some of the prison residents are up on one of the watchtower testing out the riot gear they got from the prison and deliberate if it'll affect a person's chances of shooting a walker in the head. Andrea states that she could shoot fine, yet that the visor obstructs her vision a bit so she may take it off, much to Dale's disapproval.

The Governor's Army has arrived and Andrea gets ready to fight.
A Cause[]
The Execution[]
Billy is found murdered by Ben. Despite the situation, both Andrea and Dale are against the idea of murdering Ben. Glenn argues how theres not much they can do given the circumstances, yet wonders if this is the right course of action. Carl observes the conversation. At night, Carl takes matters into his own hands and kills Ben. Afterwards, both Andrea and Dale demand answers, angered by their son being killed. Back in the tent, Carl states to himself that he had to do it.
