Nothing is known about the riot guard's life prior to or as the outbreak began, except that he lived in Mexicali, Baja California.

"The Diviner"[]
The riot guard is stationed at the front entrance to the market at El Bazar. When Madison and Qaletaqa arrive, they are ordered to hand over their weapons slowly, and then directed to speak with the teller for admission.
"El Matadero"[]
The riot guard is at the entrance advising visitors to hand over their weapons slowly. He is the one to check in the weapons carried by Madison's group and sets aside the guns that are for sale.
