Rolland is a survivor of the outbreak in Image Comics' The Walking Dead. He is a blacksmith apprentice of Earl Sutton at the Hilltop Colony.
Pre-Apocalypse[]
Nothing is know about Rolland's life before the apocalypse. He might've lived in or near Virginia.
Post-Apocalypse[]
A New Beginning[]
Rolland had been Earl's apprentice for at least a week before Rick and Carl's arrived at Hilltop. As Earl introduces Rolland, who is wheeling wood through the rain, Rolland greets Carl, and Earl mentions that the two are around the same age so they should get along, but Carl quickly runs away.
Life and Death[]
Rolland watches Gregory's execution with Earl. He then listens as Maggie explains she doesn't want to do this again.
No Turning Back[]
Rolland is among the crowd that listens to Rick's speech. At the end of the speech, he chants "RICK GRIMES!" repetitively along with the other residents.
Rest In Peace[]
Rolland is not seen or heard after the 23 year time jump. It is possible he is still living at Hilltop or was killed in the Whisperer War.
