Rufus is a survivor of the outbreak in Image Comics' The Walking Dead. He is a Commonwealth soldier.
Pre-Apocalypse[]
Location Unknown[]
Nothing is known about Rufus' life prior to or as the outbreak began. It is possible that he had some military or police experience.
Post-Apocalypse[]
At some point, Rufus made his way to the Commonwealth and joined the Commonwealth Army.
New World Order[]
Rufus is one of the soldiers present when the Alexandria group arrives in Commonwealth territory.
The Rotten Core[]
Rufus escorts Michonne and Elodie back to the Commonwealth proper.
Rest In Peace[]
Rufus is among the soldiers that listen to Mercer's call to overthrow the Commonwealth leadership. He later tries to convince George to help him free Mercer before being told to 'keep him mouth shut' before watching him storm off.
Rufus is not seen or mentioned in the 23 year time-skip, leaving his fate unknown.
