The Rural Georgia woods is a location in Telltale Games' The Walking Dead: Season One.
Pre-Apocalypse[]
Not much is known about the forest before the apocalypse.
Post-Apocalypse[]
After Lee manages to stop the train, Kenny and Katjaa are trying to deal with their problems about their dying son, Duck, who was bitten by a walker while trying to escape the Travelier Motor Inn during an attack. Depending on Lee's choice, either Katjaa goes into the woods alone to deal with Duck or Kenny goes with her to say their goodbyes if Lee says that he can put Duck down. If Kenny remained at the train while Katjaa goes with Duck alone into the woods, they hear a gunshot, believing that Katjaa killed Duck. Lee and Kenny decide to venture into the woods to retrieve Katjaa, but when they arrive, they find that Katjaa killed herself due to her not being able to cope with her son's inevitable death. Kenny, who breaks down, closes her eyes and turns to Duck, who was not put down before Katjaa's suicide. Lee can choose to either put Duck down himself, have Kenny do it himself, or remain silent but leads to Kenny doing it himself. Choosing to have Lee shoot Duck will have him shoot Duck in the head. Otherwise, if not shooting him in time will result in the two leaving Duck to turn, not being able to put down the dying boy. Otherwise if Lee hands the gun over to Kenny or remains silent, Kenny will struggle with having to put down his own son. If Lee says something to him, Kenny will finally pull the trigger and put down his son. otherwise if Lee remains silent, Kenny will not be able to bring himself to do it and decide to leave him. Lee and Kenny will then walk away from Katjaa and Duck's corpses and they head back to the train.
