This article is about the Fear character. For other pages with the same name, see: Sarah

Wendell and I, we're not exactly twins in the conventional terms. I was born premature, and my mom died having me. They put me in the NICU 'cause I was having trouble breathing on my own. Every time they tried to take the tubes out, I just stopped sucking in oxygen... But every time they put my incubator next to the other baby that was born that day, I started breathing. (...) I took my cue to breathe from him. I know why you didn't want to let your brother go, 'cause every moment that I am without mine... I feel like I can't catch my breath.
―Sarah to Josiah about her brother Wendell.[src]

Sarah Rabinowitz is a main character and a survivor of the outbreak in AMC's Fear the Walking Dead. She is the adoptive sister of Wendell and served as a U.S. Marine prior to the outbreak. Following her and Wendell's encounter with Morgan Jones, they both change their selfish ways and decide to help those in need. She was a member of Morgan's group until the caravan was forcibly split up and resettled into Virginia's various settlements.

As a result of the forceful disbandment, Sarah was separated from Wendell and set to work as a bodyguard and assistant for June under Virginia's authority. Following Virginia's downfall, Sarah was briefly reunited with Wendell. After Teddy's launching of the nuclear warheads, Sarah, along with Jacob, Wes, Daniel, and Luciana narrowly escaped the destruction with the assistance of an ally. After waking up from a deep state of unconsciousness, Sarah sought to find her brother in a now devastated Texas.

Seven years later, Sarah is revealed to have escaped from Texas following the destruction of Strand's Tower and eventually found and joined Luciana's group alongside her brother to help establish outposts and keeping the roads clear between Texas and the East Coast.

Overview[]

TBA

Pre-Apocalypse[]

Location Unknown[]

Sarah was born prematurely and her mother died giving birth to her. She has an adoptive brother, Wendell, and is a former Marine. She quit the Marines after her brother was rudely rejected due to his disability as she didn't agree with their ethics in the matter. At some point, Sarah and Wendell became truckers together and traveled throughout the United States. She is also a devoted follower of Judaism.

Post-Apocalypse[]

Season 4[]

"The Code"[]

Sarah enters a store as Wendell, her adopted brother, is questioning a man. After introducing themselves, they take Morgan outside, where he sees several trucks full of supplies. They explain to him that they deliver boxes of supplies to people around the country, just as they did before the apocalypse. Surprised by their good nature, Morgan reveals that he is going to Virginia, where his community is established.

Sarah informs him that they are responsible for taking him to Mississippi as well as having saved his life from the hurricane that passed through Texas. Shocked, Morgan decides to go back to search for his friends and before parting ways, as a sign of generosity, Wendell and Sarah give him a car and some boxes of provisions for his trip and inform him of a nearby bridge that could help him arrive at his destination.

Sarah later overhears as Wendell is informed by Morgan through a walkie-talkie that the bridge he had pointed out had been destroyed by the storm. Wendell asks him about his friends he is looking for, but Morgan doesn't give more details. Wendell and Sarah agree to meet him on Route 91 so they can drive him to Virginia.

When Morgan arrives at the meeting point, Sarah and Wendell recognize the person accompanying him as the man they had tried to rob his beer recipe from and had escaped from their hands. They stop them at gunpoint and keep them both as their prisoners. Sarah and her brother also reveal to Morgan that they had stolen the truck and had left the original owner on the side of the road with a box of supplies. They ask him for the location of the community where he is settled, and even though he refuses to speak, Morgan is still forced to go with them to Virginia.

As they stop at another bridge so Sarah can unload the large amount of heavy material they had in the truck, Morgan is accidentally knocked over by Jim into a herd's path and is forced to rest on top of a car. Sarah offers him help if he gives the community location, however, due to Jim's lack of skill in killing walkers and Wendell's inability to walk, they abandon him.

The next day, after discovering that the man had lied, they reunite with him on the bridge and they come to an agreement. First, they will go to Texas to search for Morgan's friends and then they will go to Virginia while making some stops along the way to leave some boxes full of provisions as the original truck owner was doing.

"Weak"[]

Sarah stops her truck and kills a walker which was attached to the front of the truck. She remembers when her and Wendell's dad hit a seagull. They find a sign indicating they are 76 miles from Houston. Morgan uses the radio to tell everyone that he is coming with help but no one is answering.

At night, Sarah, Wendell, Morgan and Jim prepare to drive off until June and Althea drive up behind them. They finally reunite and Morgan tells June he still hasn't found the others. Morgan introduces June and Althea to Sarah and her group and offers them water from the "take what you need" box while June takes Morgan's walkie to radio the man from before.

"Blackjack"[]

At the truck, Sarah and Jim argue about how many people should be in the truck. Jim wants to move on and insists his beer making skills are key to their future. Walkers emerge from the tree line and Sarah moves to put them down. Jim gets scared but Wendell uses his wheelchair spikes to impale it while Sarah finishes it off.

Jim looks at it, though, seeing the message written on his head, "take what you need" message. Sarah orders Morgan back to the truck, while June radios Quinn. Over the radio, she realizes he is not out there. Jim is eager to move on, Sarah agrees with him. The radio plays back some walker gargles. Martha tells her Quinn is dead and she made him what he was meant to be. "He's not weak anymore," she says. Morgan recognizes the voice and starts talking to her. She warns him to stop leaving those boxes on the road because it will make him weak. "I know who you are, I know what you're really capable of," she says ominously.

Back on the road, Morgan decides that they need to find the rest while Sarah and Jim question him on what the woman meant when she said she knew what he was capable of. He says he has things to make up for and to trust him or he'll take their truck. When they challenge him again Morgan hits Sarah's knife out of her hand with a shovel, and they agree to follow him.

Sarah and Jim question if they should keep leaving boxes on the side of the road knowing that it could get someone killed, but Morgan insists it's worth it. He adds instructions on the box to use radio channel 4, hoping John will eventually see it.

On the road, Sarah and the rest pick up Luciana and continue on their way. Suddenly, they are contacted by Charlie and Alicia on the radio. Alicia tells them she found the channel from the box. Morgan tells her to wait at the mile marker and that they are gonna pick them, when suddenly, Martha radios both of them and warns Morgan of not taking her advice of leaving the boxes on the road.

Morgan tells her he'll continue to find the people they're looking for until they find and help her. Sarah spots Althea's SWAT truck appear behind them. Panicked, Morgan radios Martha to ask what she's doing and she tells him, "You lose people... You lose yourself." Morgan tells the group to get down just as the woman pulls the truck beside them, opens the gun hatch and opens fire.

"MM 54"[]

After the gunfire stops, Sarah realizes she has been shot in the arm as Jim helps freeing her from her jammed seat-belt. When Martha passes by again, he pulls her down, worried she is going to shoot again.

Sarah, Wendell and Jim watch the SWAT van drive back toward the truck. The SWAT van stops. Althea guesses that Martha used up all the ammo. Wendell opens his door and sees his wheelchair crushed on the ground.

A few minutes later, during the standoff, Sarah notices leaking fuel and fire nearby, so she and Jim flee and duck for cover as the truck explodes. They run around to the back with the rest of the group, and he exclaims sadly that his yeast cakes were in there.

Sarah and the others walk along the road with the herd in pursuit. June insists on checking everyone's injuries from the shootout. Morgan spots a sign for a hospital. Jim questions Morgan's leadership and refuses to go to the hospital with the group. He changes his mind, however, when he sees the herd getting closer.

At the hospital, Sarah, Althea and Wendell find a set of walkies in a room. Al asks Wendell how he ended up in a wheelchair. He explains that he got hit by a car as a child after he tried to save another kid from being hit. Later, Marines rejected him because of his handicap.

After the herd breaks through the front door barricade, Morgan leads the group onto a floor that is clear of walkers. They barricade the stairwell entrance. Morgan suggests they secure the other stairwells.

Sarah and Althea look for a stairwell. Sarah tells Althea that she quit the Marines after they mistreated Wendell. They find a stairway blocked off and filled with walkers. Morgan reports via walkie that a roof caved in on another stairwell. Luciana informs the group via walkie that the barricade won't hold much longer. Morgan suggests they take the elevator to the roof. Sarah and Althea look for generators to start up the elevator. Althea urges Sarah to rejoin Wendell while she turns on the generator.

The group meets at the elevators. The lights turn on and the elevator doors open. The group piles into the elevator just in time to escape the herd. On the roof, Sarah tries to reach Althea on her walkie, but doesn't receive an answer.

"I Lose People..."[]

While the group is trapped on the roof, Sarah asks Jim for his beer recipe, he refuses, saying that he might die, but his beer can live on. He tells her to leave him alone and she reluctantly does.

Sarah and the group, except for Jim, venture back into the hospital to locate Althea. Instead, they find Althea's note telling them she's going to try to escape, along with instructions on protecting her tapes if she dies. Morgan leaves to find her while Sarah and the rest stay behind.

Back on the roof, Morgan tells Sarah and the group that he'll find a way to distract the walkers below to let the rest escape.

Morgan tosses a walker off the ledge an onto a car, attracting the walkers away from the hospital entrance. "Momo's a goddamn genius", Sarah beams as she and the rest escape into the ambulance. June radios Morgan to follow them, but he tells her to go without him and stays on the roof with Jim.

After a while, June radios Morgan again, this time she's with John and the others in the SWAT truck. Alicia and the others chime in on the radio, telling him they're going to save him. Morgan looks down and sees their plan: a fire truck.

Sarah operates the fire truck's crane but is short by a couple of stories. Morgan finds a rope, wraps it around a pipe, and lowers it down. He tells Jim to come with him but he says there's no point since he's going to die from the bite. Morgan tosses his stick down and gingerly begins climbing down the building. He makes it and is immediately attacked by a walker. John skillfully shoots the walker from below and Morgan successfully jumps onto the firetruck's crane. As he's lowered down he nods one last time to Jim.

As the group gets surrounded by walkers, Jim decides to sacrifice himself to save them. Before he does, he radios Sarah the recipe for his beer. She writes it down, Jim takes a deep breath, and throws himself off the ledge and onto a car, attracting the walkers away from the fire truck.

On the road, Sarah decides they should name the beer "Jimbo's Beerbos" in his memory. Morgan proposes they find Althea and then travel to Alexandria together.

"... I Lose Myself"[]

After the group finds Al, they sit around a campfire and Morgan describes his plan to pick up more boxes at the truck stop to distribute them enroute to Alexandria.

The next day, the group arrives at the truck stop and stocks up on supplies from the store. Outside, Althea loads the van when some walkers approach. Al jumps down to fight them, but is too weak and passes out. Alicia shoots at the herd and then instructs everyone to get inside as the noise will attract more.

Inside, John tries to contact Morgan to no avail. Sarah explains that Morgan's signal won't come in here until he is closer but Morgan likely hears him. Suddenly, everyone doubles over in pain as more walkers scrape at the windows. June realizes that someone opened the water bottles in the store and poisoned the water. Althea deduces it was Martha.

Finally able to communicate, Morgan tells them it's anti-freeze. June tells them the antidote is ethanol and the group hatches a plan to get it from one of the trucks outside.

June and Charlie create a distraction while Sarah and the rest kill the walkers and push forward. Althea jumps in her SWAT truck and machine guns the walkers outside, while accidentally putting holes into the tank and causing the ethanol to drain out.

June updates Morgan on their problem and he tells them he can't lose them. John encourages him and says he's strong with or without them.

Suddenly, Morgan shows up and reveals that he brought a truck of Jim's Augie's Ale, saving the day. The group drinks the beer and regain their strength. Sarah comments that its a second time they owe Jim for saving their lives and raises a toast to their lost friend.

Morgan then brings Sarah and the group back to the place he left Martha. He finds her severed arm attached to the police car and sees her turned, walking on the road. He stabs her in the head and then buries her.

Morgan tells everyone he's no longer going to Alexandria. He says that Martha became the person she was because nobody helped her when she needed it and that more people need help.

The group arrives at Clayton's supply factory and Morgan says they should follow his path and help others. Alicia says it can't just be about boxes, they need to build something like Madison would want. Althea suggests they can start with the people she interviewed. Sarah and Wendell decide to stay to make up for stealing Clayton's truck.

Shortly after, Sarah and the group mobilizes a convoy of vehicles outside the factory. They load up on ammo and head out. Morgan gets on his walkie and broadcasts that they are coming to help anyone who might be in need.

Season 5[]

Four months after using the denim factory as a headquarters to distribute the supply boxes, Sarah and the group have had poor luck in finding or recruiting other survivors, with many of the people interviewed on Althea's tapes dead or missing.

"Here to Help"[]

On the road, Sarah and Wendell drive on their truck side by side with Charlie and Strand in Al's armored truck towards the factory following Althea's distress call asking them to find a man with a second plane using a tape labeled "Skidmark."

At the factory, Sarah and the others discover Logan and his crew has taken over the place and are forced to leave at gunpoint. That night, Sarah and Wendell drink outside the factory and lament their failure. Charlie says she can find a way in and Strand vows to get the mill back. He wishes he was on the plane but vows to get on the next one and reunite with the rest of the group.

"Skidmark"[]

At night, Sarah, Wendell, and Strand communicate with Charlie as she looks for Daniel's plane inside his warehouse. However, Skidmark finds Charlie and meows at her, causing Daniel to investigate. Charlie hides in Daniel's new car and insists on staying as Daniel leaves in the truck.

The next day, Sarah and Strand are loading up the plane at Salazar's compound. Suddenly, Strand realizes some of the gages from the cockpit are missing and radios Daniel, who assures him he's far from the warehouse, but when he gets back he'll kill him. Sarah then radios Daniel next and he advises her to stay away from Strand. However, she suggests they search the warehouse for the plane parts.

Later, Sarah listens as Strand radios Daniel and begs him to bring the instruments back and he says he will, but they're bringing a herd of walkers with them. He gives him instructions about returning but Sarah says she broke their fence down to free the plane. A while later, Charlie returns to the warehouse and gives Strand the plane instruments. Suspicious, Strand radios Daniel to ask if he's putting him in danger. Daniel tells him he wants to get back at him for lying to him about Ofelia, confusing Sarah and the others. Strand explains how he lied about Ofelia's whereabouts and prevented him from saying goodbye before she died. Charlie says that despite their past, they need to save Daniel.

On the road, Sarah and Wendell arrive in Al's van to help Daniel, but the machine gun lever doesn't shoot, so Daniel hides underneath. Strand and Charlie then arrive in a truck with the plane in the back. Strand leads the walkers towards him, turns on the propellers, and watches as the walkers kill themselves until the plane engines stop. Strand confronts Daniel, who tells him he won't shoot him after all.

At the warehouse, Sarah and Wendell pet Skidmark and look around the place as Daniel invites them to take anything they need to help them save their friends.

"The Little Prince"[]

Sarah, Strand and Charlie work to relay instructions on rebuilding the crashed plane by examining Daniel's wrecked plane. At one point, something drips from the engines onto Sarah's face which she insists is oil and not walker blood, but decides to check it out just to be sure.

After Morgan and the others lose their propellers, Sarah and the others try to come up with an alternative without any luck with Sarah even calling Wendell to ask about an airport he'd visited. Sarah notes that they have propellers without a working engine while the others have a working engine without the propellers, meaning that if they can bring everything together, they can make it work. Staring at an old advertisement for Jim Brauer's brewery, Strand notes that at least Jim had the advantage of self-sacrifice, causing Sarah to sharply rebuke him for his disrespect towards Jim's sacrifice.

Charlie stares at the advertisement and asks Sarah if she and Wendell had taken everything from Jim's brewery. After Sarah states they took all of the bottles, Charlie shows her the advertisement, causing Sarah to smile. "Son of a bitch. We're gonna get 'em back," Sarah says in awe as she realizes what Charlie means.

Later, when Strand and Charlie come to the rescue of the others in Jim Brauer's beer-themed hot air balloon, Sarah is stated to be clearing a runway for their return alongside Wendell.

"Is Anybody Out There?"[]

In a flashback, Sarah and the group takes turns on the radio trying to reach out to strangers who might need help, to no avail. In the present, she radios Wendell to ensure the airstrip is ready for the group's return. Suddenly, she comes across Logan leaving the dam and asks him if he can help her light the runway for her friends. She claims she used to be selfish and now is making up for it by helping others in need, claiming he should do the same. He reminds her he has stayed alive by not sticking his neck out, so he declines and drives off.

Later, Sarah and Wendell discuss how they will light the runway for the plane's arrival when Daniel arrives to help them with some tools from his warehouse. That night, they finish setting the lights on the tarmac as the plane gets closer. Suddenly, Wendell spots a walker and kills it with his wheelchair spikes. Then another walker approaches and trips the runway lights. On cue, the plane runs out of fuel and Wendell's forced to jump out of his chair to fix it. The plane roars toward the dark runway as Wendell fixes the lights at the last second, allowing the plane to finally land.

Sarah happily reunites with the group and also introduces herself to Grace. Suddenly, a woman contacts Morgan on the radio, asking if that was his plane flying overhead. She's seen his boxes and wants his help. The communication cuts out as Logan interrupts the signal and says they need to chat. He pulls up in an old truck as everyone focuses their guns on him.

Logan tells Sarah and the group the gasoline is going bad and that Clayton wrote down an oil rig location. He says if they hand over his journal he'll help them find it. They're skeptical, but he makes the case they won't be able to help anyone without it and suggests they should find it first before his former crew.

"Channel 4"[]

Sometime later, Sarah and the group formed a convoy to travel throughout Texas to help others and invite them to join their community, while establishing additional outposts to recruit the survivors reaching out to them over the radio.

In an interview by Althea, Sarah reveals how they took Logan's oil truck and abandoned him on the road. She gleefully admits it feels better to ditch someone who deserves it, claiming that karma's a bitch. She also likes to spend time singing to her truck songs, unbeknowst to the rest of the group hate for it.

At night, Sarah and the rest of the group reunite in their camp to dine together. Al then asks the group what each want, with Sarah wanting to keep the truck running. The tape concludes with everyone pleading with future survivors to help others.

"Ner Tamid"[]

Sarah and the convoy set up camp in a field to rest for the night. The next day, she admits to John and June they're running low on gas when Dwight informs them that Charlie's missing. Sarah then stays as lookout alongside Dwight as John and June go look for Charlie. They share a beer and discuss how they used to survive before the caravan. Suddenly, Dwight spots Logan's crew on the road and Sarah radios June to warn her about it.

They drive away from the camp as Rollie and the rest of the crew start chasing them. After a while, their truck runs out of gas as Logan's crew catch up. Before they can battle, the rest of the group arrives in Al's SWAT truck and Logan's crew decide to leave. Later, Sarah introduces herself to Jacob and reveals she's also Jewish and is excited to hear he makes wine.

"Leave What You Don't"[]

Sarah and Dwight ambush Rollie on the road using a fridge as a trap. As Dwight points a gun at the people in the truck, Sarah jumps out with a gun pointed at Rollie. She fires her gun close to Rollie's ear to signal that she's not messing around. She says she can't abide with the fact that she killed Clayton, but she can live knowing she killed Rollie unless he helps.

After a while, Sarah and Dwight arrive to Tank Town and get out with their guns drawn at Logan. John shoots the walker carousel from afar and radios Logan that he better not try anything. Logan calls John's bluff and says he knows they don't have the guts to kill him. He offers to let the kids go if Sarah and Dwight agree to work for him. She asks for a car and he obliges, so she instructs Annie and the kids to return to the caravan.

Logan also tells Sarah and Wendell if they hadn't stolen Clayton's rig then Serena would have lived and none of this would have happened. June radios them that they all have to leave because walkers are beginning to arrive.

At night, some walkers manage to fall off the cliff and crawl. As the fire and walker herd grows larger, Sarah decides to save Logan. She drags him into a trailer and he says they're screwed. Suddenly, a woman over the radio says she's trapped at mile marker 65. "You've gotta be shitting me," Logan says shocked. He picks up the call and tells the woman to grab the gun with one bullet on the floor and kill herself to Sarah's shock, but the woman is rescued on time by Wes. Sarah reminds Logan that their way isn't so bad. Later, the rest of the group arrives to help kill the remaining walkers and control the fire.

The next morning, Sarah and Logan reunite with the rest of the group until Doris and the others hold them up at gunpoint. He tells everyone to put their guns down and explains how he wants to continue Clayton's message after all. Suddenly, Logan and his crew are viciously shot and killed from afar by Virginia and her group.

Sarah then listens as Virginia reveals she's been watching them and suggests they could all help each other. She can offer them things they want like helping Sarah and Wendell find their brewery in exchange for keeping the oil fields running. They refuse so she orders her people to prepare to kill them. Luciana offers to stay to help them make gas if she lets the rest go and Virginia agrees. Sarah and the group are then forced to abandon the place.

"Channel 5"[]

Sarah and the rest of the caravan keep traveling in search of a permanent home. At night, a walker from a Humbug's Gulch theme park 15 miles away wanders into camp. Dwight kills it and John suggests to head to Humbug's Gulch in search of a home. The next day, the caravan come across a bridge in danger of collapsing.

After several tense moments with Virginia and an oncoming herd, Sarah and the others are forced to abandon the rest of their vehicles and flee across the bridge. She and the others watch in horror as Tom is killed when the bridge finally does collapse. Sometime later, the group arrives at the gulch but see that it is completely overrun with walkers. The group debates their next move. Sarah and the others then hear as Morgan radios Virginia for help.

"End of the Line"[]

Sarah and the rest of the caravan survivors rest along the outskirts of Humbug's Gulch as Morgan contacts with Virginia for help. After the theme park is cleared of walkers, Sarah and a group discover that the horses were send by Virginia due to them sporting the pioneer's keys insignia. She later attends John and June's wedding in the chapel.

That night, Sarah and the caravan survivors are split up by Virginia into different groups as they are taken for re-settlement among her communities. She tearfully promises Wendell they'll reunite as they are separated.

Season 6[]

"Bury Her Next to Jasper's Leg"[]

June rushes a patient into Sarah's truck, which has been transformed into a mobile medical unit, and enlists Sarah to help her surgically remove the patient's infected appendix. The patient dies during surgery and turns, then attacks June. Sarah stabs it in the head.

June rides with John while Sarah follows in the truck. John proposes that he and June run away to the cabin that Janis told him about. Without going into detail, he says that he needs to get as far away from Virginia as possible. June worries that Virginia would hunt them down. They're interrupted by an urgent call from Lucy on the walkie, requesting medical help at the oil quarry. John proposes they leave for the cabin after they're finished helping at the quarry.

June, Lucy and Sarah enter the quarry. Virginia sees a spray-painted message, "The End is the Beginning", and refuses to let anyone leave until she finds out who was responsible. June argues that they need to evacuate all the victims to give them medical attention.

Wes wakes up in the truck. Lucy and Sarah ask June why she saved Virginia's life. June says that Virginia agreed to give her a hospital and that she also agreed to assign Wendell to the hospital. Wendell arrives in a car and reunites with Sarah.

June and Sarah ride in the truck as John follows in his car. The truck veers left, toward Lawton. John veers right, toward the cabin.

"The Door"[]

Sarah, Grace, Wes, Luciana, June, and Daniel were rounded up by the rangers and held in the Lawton town jail as bargaining chips for Virginia as she attempts to get her sister back.

"Things Left to Do"[]

Sarah will appear in this episode.

"Handle With Care"[]

Sherry and Rollie pull up in the SWAT truck. Sarah, Strand, and Samuels arrive on horseback and the latter reveals empty spray paint canisters that they found in the area. Strand worries that the people who destroyed Tank Town are still on the loose. Morgan proposes they work together to track down the enemy.

Morgan and Daniel sit by Grace's side as she experiences contractions. Sarah estimates it will take at least one day for June to arrive and says they need a fetal monitor. Morgan says he knows where to find one and promises to return within a few hours.

Daniel joins Morgan, Sarah, and Rabbi Jacob as they look for Grace in the woods. They finally find her.

"USS Pennsylvania"[]

Sarah will appear in this episode.

"The Beginning"[]

On the road, Sarah desperately tries to get in contact with Wendell, while Daniel questions why Riley would reveal the location of the bunker now so close to the end. Before Riley can answer, the van comes to a screeching stop when the brakes malfunction. Sarah and Jacob go outside to fix it, while the rest of the group protects them from walkers, save for Daniel and Charlie who stay to watch over Riley. Sarah is worried about Wendell, but Jacob assures her that they will reunite, one way or another. Continuing his interrogation, Daniel wonders why Riley would stay alive if destruction is the whole point, to which the latter replies that it's only to see their faces when everything turns to ash. He goes on to state that he is aware that Daniel's group thinks the cult is insane, but assures him that it's only the beginning, as the phoenix will rise quicker than he thinks. Right then, Sarah finishes her repairs. As the group prepares to leave, Rollie comments that they will get out of this yet, "like a phoenix." Hearing this, Daniel suddenly realizes something, and asks Luciana for her gun in Spanish. When she hesitates, he tells her the traitors in Tank Town should die. She hands him the gun and Daniel executes Rollie without hesitation. He explains that Rollie was a cult member, and that this was how the cult found out that they were coming to the sub. Riley suddenly reaches for the gun, but is shot in the back by Charlie. Luciana asks Riley if Rollie was really a traitor, and the latter confirms, stating the Rollie lost his faith when he saw them turn on each other at the dam. He adds that they were driving them somewhere they'd have a prime view of the destruction to come. Their conversation is interrupted by a loud bang. In the sky, they see that a warhead has detached from the missile. Daniel thinks they can still make it to the coordinates. Sarah is hesitant, but Luciana points out Daniel was right about Rollie, so he must have really heard the coordinates on the radio as well. With that, they drive off towards the marked destination.

Season 7[]

"Breathe With Me"[]

Sarah wakes up in a strange bed and wanders into a living room. A walker attacks her. Al shoots the walker dead and alerts everyone that Sarah is awake. They're joined by Daniel, Wes, Charlie, and Luci.

Luci tells Sarah that she was unconscious for two days. Sarah asks who the pilot was in the chopper that rescued them. Al says it's better if she doesn't know. They inform Sarah that they haven't found Wendell. Sarah vows to find him, despite everyone's insistence that she'll die from radiation if she wanders far.

Sarah looks for Wendell daily and broadcasts messages to him over a walkie. Morgan responds one day and tells her that he and Grace are holed up in the submarine. Sarah warns Morgan to stay away from her area, since one of the warheads is leaking radiation. They lose contact.

Sarah tries to fix the walkie and sees a vehicle parked in the distance.

Sarah sneaks up to the car and finds Morgan's dog Rufus inside. She opens a box and discovers the head of Emile, Morgan's assassin. The assassin's brother, Josiah, holds her at gunpoint and offers to find Wendell if she helps him find Morgan. He tells her to arrange a meeting with Morgan at dawn. She radios Morgan.

Sarah takes Josiah to the one location where she hasn't searched for Wendell. Josiah kills some walkers and guts them to look for Wendell's remains. He warns Sarah that Wendell might have travelled out of range if he is a walker, but Sarah says Wendell was wheelchair-bound. Sarah gives him Wendell's baseball cap. Josiah lets Rufus smell the cap, then tells him to go find Wendell.

Josiah buries the dead walkers. He explains that he made a promise to Emile and won't bury his head until he keeps his promise. Rufus barks in the distance.

Josiah and Sarah find Rufus barking at a man in a gas mask who's leading a wagon full of walkers. The man explains that he's spreading the walkers around. Josiah orders the man to remove his many layers of clothing. Rufus sniffs the pile of clothes and finds a bandana belonging to Wendell. Josiah orders the man to show them where he found it.

The man takes them to a farm stable filled with walkers. Sarah spots Wendell's mangled wheelchair. The man says Wendell wasn't useful to him and is probably crawling on the ground somewhere. Sarah attacks the man. He releases walkers from their pens and escapes while Sarah and Josiah fight the walkers. Sarah races to the car. Morgan radios her to say that he's on his way to the rendezvous point. She tries to leave without Josiah, but Josiah jumps into the car with her. She crashes.

Sarah regains consciousness and sees the leaking warhead near the car. Josiah vows to get them both out of the wreckage and says he used to be a search and rescue park ranger. He recalls how Emile and Rufus once rescued him after he got lost in a forest fire. Sarah radios Morgan for help, but gets no answer. They free themselves from the wreckage and start killing walkers. Morgan shows up and faces off with Josiah.

Morgan and Josiah fight. Josiah takes Emile's head out of the box to kill Morgan, but Emile bites Rufus. Sarah slices Emile's head in two with Josiah's shovel, putting Emile down. Josiah sobs while holding Rufus.

Josiah comforts Rufus by a campfire and says he thought that he'd been doing right by Emile. Sarah empathizes with his fraternal connection. She explains that she couldn't breathe on her own when she was born, but she would breathe whenever she was next to another baby born that day – and that baby was Wendell.

Josiah buries Rufus and he makes amends with Morgan. Morgan guesses that Wendell is at Strand's Tower and suggests they head over. Josiah asks to help them find Wendell.

Morgan, Sarah, and Josiah arrive at a platform on the outskirts of Strand's Tower, which is still surrounded by walkers. They're ambushed by Strand and Howard. Strand confirms that Wendell is living at the Tower, but refuses to allow Sarah, Morgan, or Josiah into his community. He offers to let Wendell come out to see Sarah, but warns that he would not allow Wendell to return. Worried that Wendell would leave the Tower if he knew she had been there, Sarah begs Strand not to tell Wendell that she came for him. Strand agrees, then leaves. Morgan invites Josiah to stay with him and Grace, but Josiah declines the offer. Before he leaves, Sarah gives him some pills to counteract radiation exposure. Morgan invites Sarah to join him. They head back to the sub.

"Ofelia"[]

In one of the sub's bunk rooms, Sarah and Sherry discuss the plan for their upcoming two-day mission as they pack up. Joining the two women, Morgan asks what they're going to be up against, and Sherry tells him that Dwight reports a hundred or more walkers outside with no way of telling how many are inside. Sarah and Sherry are excited about the odds that they're up against and Morgan asks Luciana how Daniel is doing as she joins them. Luciana admits that Daniel is making slow but steady progress and asks where they're going. Sherry states that they're going to help Dwight recover a stash of weapons that he had found, but Morgan thinks that it's probably best if Luciana stays behind. Sarah objects that they could use the help against the number of walkers that they're up against, but Morgan believes that Luciana helping Daniel and pushing him some more is important too: while they're going to need the weapons to get into Strand's Tower, they're also going to need Daniel's help too as he knows how Strand thinks better than anyone. Luciana asks if Morgan thinks this is why she's helping Daniel with his psychological issues, but Morgan tells her it's not. "It's just that he's gone up against Victor in ways that none of us have. And this is about all of us making it, so we've gotta do whatever we can to make sure that that happens. We gotta use everything we got," Morgan states.

Their argument is interrupted by Wes with the news that Daniel has disappeared. Luciana guesses that Daniel has wandered into the Sonar Room again, but Sarah tells her that she welded the door shut after the last radiation leaks. However, Wes tells the group that Daniel is not on the sub anymore as Wes found the front hatch open and a protective suit gone. Luciana orders the others to go after the weapons while she goes after Daniel. Morgan wants them all to go instead, but Sherry objects that if they don't leave now, they won't get to Dwight before dark. Wes refuses to let Luciana go alone and Morgan orders them both to go after Daniel and to send up a mayday if there's any trouble while Morgan, Sarah and Sherry go to help Dwight recover the weapons cache that he found.

Later, in the sub's Mess Hall, Dwight, Sarah and Morgan unpack the impressive arsenal of weapons that they've retrieved from the weapons cache that Dwight had found. Dwight is just glad that it worked out, but Morgan tells him that it more than worked out, these weapons could make all of the difference and Dwight calls it a start for sure. Morgan wants to do an inventory of the weapons while Dwight notes that they just need soldiers to carry them. Sherry enters with Luciana, Daniel and the Stalkers with the news that the Stalkers want to help them. Morgan asks about Wes, but Luciana informs him that Wes isn't coming and while she hopes that Wes is okay, Luciana thinks that he needs some time. Daniel is pleased that they've found the weapons and tells Morgan that now all they need to do is start planning how to overthrow Victor Strand.

"The Raft"[]

Before bringing Mo to the sub, Dwight and Sherry hide out at an abandoned car wash, waiting for Luciana to check in. Finally, Luciana radios in and Sherry orders her to open the hatch and prepare to lock down the sub as they're on their way and chances are they're not alone. Luciana orders them not to come, revealing that the Pennsylvania's engineering compartment is starting to leak radiation, and everyone is abandoning ship while Sarah helps to coordinate the evacuation at the hatch behind her.

At the sub's emergency raft, Daniel finishes loading up supplies for Morgan and the baby and Morgan recalls that Grace said that the weather patterns might've been affected, and that the fallout could hug the coast for hundreds of miles. Sherry tells him that Maya came from someplace clean, but Morgan worries that he won't be able to find it, so Sarah jokingly suggests that he "take her out, drive her around the block a few times," getting a laugh out of Morgan. Morgan is conflicted about leaving just as Alicia is about to face Strand, but an emotional Alicia, knowing that this is likely the last time that she'll see her friend, tells him that Morgan needs to do this for Mo, Grace and himself. While they're both doing something that they don't want to do, Alicia admits that Morgan is right and she's going to be okay, and she can do this. Promising to see Morgan again and that she's got this, Alicia orders him to go.

Hugging Alicia goodbye, Morgan takes Mo from Dwight who suggests that Sherry could go with him too. Sherry tells her husband that Strand doesn't know about her pregnancy, and he can't use this against them, but they can use it against him because now they have something to fight for and Dwight agrees. Morgan shares a hug with Luciana and thanks her before Dwight gives him the auto-mobile that he'd created for Mo, much to the amusement of Daniel and Sarah who exchange a smile. After thanking Dwight, Morgan wishes Alicia good luck and Luciana, Alicia, Dwight, Sherry, Daniel and Sarah - Morgan's closest remaining friends - push the raft into the water and Morgan sets sail.

Turning to her gathered forces, Alicia announces that "we gotta move! The sun sets in a few hours! Follow me." Alicia and her forces move out, finally ready to take the Tower from Strand.

"Divine Providence"[]

In the Tower, Strand shaves his beard off as music plays in the background. The Lead Ranger brings the news that Alicia is here for him, which a pleased Strand calls divine providence. On the roof, an excited Strand tells Wes that today is one of those days where one must wipe the slate clean, and Wes warns him that Alicia didn't come alone. Through binoculars, Strand sees Morgan's Group - now including both Alicia's Group and the former Stalkers - surrounding the platform with Alicia, Daniel, Luciana, Sarah, Jacob Kessner, Dwight, Sherry and several others gathered on the platform itself.

Strand contacts Alicia, noting that although she brought company, Morgan isn't amongst them. Alicia reveals that Morgan is somewhere safe where Strand won't find him with Mo and Strand accuses Morgan of being a coward who ran for the hills. Strand tells Alicia that it's auspicious of her to show up like this as Strand was already going to call Alicia to talk. Strand invites Alicia in to have a drink with him and she asks if this is him waving the white flag. Strand simply states that they'll talk about that on the inside and he again invites Alicia in for a drink, just the two of them. With a look at her friends, Alicia accepts Strand's offer, and they hang up. Wes questions what Strand is doing, but Strand simply claims that he has it covered. Wes looks doubtful, and reminds Strand that he drove Alicia away for a reason and Strand could lose everything that he built by letting her inside of the Tower. Strand promises Wes that he won't, and he orders Wes to retrieve a bottle of wine for them from cold storage. As Wes leaves, Strand orders one of his guards to be ready when the sun goes down.

Once Alicia is inside, Strand has the Tower's beacon turned on in order to lure the radioactive walkers from the crater in to kill everyone outside. After making a deal with Alicia, Strand agrees to relent and let everyone in, but Wes betrays them, forcing Strand, Alicia and Daniel to fight through Wes' forces to shut down the beacon, ultimately killing Wes himself.

Outside, Dwight puts down a walker that is drawn to the Tower by the beacon. Dwight is worried since Alicia should've been out by now and Luciana points out that they can't wait much longer with Sarah agreeing that as long as the beacon is on, walkers will be on them. Sherry notices that someone is coming as Daniel arrives with June, Grace and Wendell. An emotional Sarah reunites with her brother for the first time in months and Dwight and Jacob question what's going on inside of the Tower and how the four got past the Rangers. Daniel tells everyone that while he doesn't have time to explain, they all need to get back inside of the Tower immediately. Grace asks about Morgan, but Sherry reassures her that Morgan had followed Grace's request and took Mo somewhere safe, but they don't know where.

Daniel warns everyone that they need to hurry as the beacon light is drawing the dead from the crater to the Tower. In Spanish, Luciana asks if he's sure and Daniel confirms it, telling Luciana rather pointedly that he's not a liar. Dwight asks how far they are, but Daniel isn't sure, revealing that Alicia and Strand are turning the light off as they speak. "Vic and AC are on the same team? What the hell did we miss?" quips Sarah. Daniel begins leading everyone inside of the Tower and brushes off June's attempts to patch him up, wanting her to tend to Charlie first. Daniel explains to a confused Luciana in Spanish that Strand had tried to convince him that Charlie is Ofelia, continuing what Luciana had started. Luciana apologizes for her actions, and a confused Daniel asks why she did it. Luciana admits that she thought that it was the only way before three Rangers open fire from the roof, killing two members of the group and sending the rest ducking for cover behind the platform. The group desperately returns fire as Wendell notices the herd approaching and he realizes that the Rangers are trying to box them out, forcing them to move out of cover.

On the roof, Strand kills two of the Rangers from behind while Alicia kills the third, ending the gunfire from the roof. Strand and Alicia notice five Rangers below charging at their friends and Strand guesses that the Rangers guarding the tunnel must've circled around. Knowing that the others are sitting ducks and seeing that the walkers are almost here, Alicia orders Strand to turn off the light while she gives the others as much cover as she can. Alicia shoots the five Rangers, but Strand hesitates to turn off the light. Strand realizes that Alicia is never going to forgive him, that even if Strand turns it off and helps Alicia to save everyone, the damage has already been done.

Stating that they don't have time for this, Alicia charges Strand, but he throws her into a cable, severing it and damaging the light. Strand angrily states that it was never going to be enough to make Alicia love him, but Alicia tells him that it could've been, but Strand ruined it by killing Wes. An emotional Strand insists that he didn't have a choice, but Alicia angrily accuses him of always having a choice and making the wrong ones. Although Strand tells her that he had killed Wes to save her life, Alicia believes that Strand was only trying to save himself and he didn't care who he had to kill to do it. Alicia kicks Strand backwards and struggles with him, telling Strand that "the person you used to be -- the person you said you wanted to forget -- that was never you!" In the struggle, Alicia punctures a gas can with the blades on her prosthetic arm and breaks another cable in the process, sending the antenna falling and shattering the light. The herd arrives, devouring a few members of Morgan's group as the rest rush inside of the Tower and barricade the doors against the radioactive walkers, watching them through the glass in horror.

Alicia climbs the platform holding the light with her transmitter and she hooks it up to the antenna. A despondent Strand tells Alicia that it's too late and there's no way out of here, but she ignores him. Stating that there's one, Alicia begins her broadcast. "This is Alicia Clark. If you're listening to this, you're not alone. The place you've been looking for, the place you've heard about, PADRE, it's here -- the Tower. Coordinates 29 degrees, 20 minutes, 14.1 seconds north, 94 degrees, 59 minutes, 25.7 seconds west. We're gonna build the new home you've been looking for. We can help you. But first... we're gonna need a little help from you." Sparks from the broken light suddenly set the spilled fuel on fire and it quickly spreads. Strand warns Alicia that the fire is going to spread through the whole building, but Alicia passes out as the fire spreads across the roof and Strand calls out for her.

"Amina"[]

A massive number of gas mask covered and frantic survivors carrying supplies make their way through the Texas landscape. Barely conscious and extremely feverish, Alicia is carried on a stretcher by Dwight and June and experiences flashbacks of various walkers attacking before passing out again.

On a beach, Alicia notices a bird landing next to her stretcher and Jacob Kessner alerts everyone else that she's waking up. June warns Alicia not to stand up as she's low on fluids and febrile, but Alicia ignores her orders, so June sends Jacob to get saline and the epinephrine. Alicia notices the frantic survivors prepping the rafts, and June explains that Strand's Tower is burning and Alicia notices a large cloud of smoke rising in the distance. "The walkers from the Crater -- when they breach those walls, when they burn, everything's gonna be released into the air," meaning that Texas is going to be flooded with all of the radiation stored within the radioactive walkers, rendering Texas completely uninhabitable. The group doesn't know where they're going yet, and Morgan hasn't made landfall himself yet either. Knowing that it could be just as dangerous out there, Alicia gets up. June warns her that if they can't get it under control, the fever could kill Alicia, but Alicia reminds June that it's been like this for months. Strand isn't with them as he didn't want to come with the group and, as far as they know, he's still in the Tower. As Alicia looks around, Jacob brings over the packed med kit in which he has included adrenaline in case Alicia needs it.

Alicia notices the young girl that she had encountered before nearby and guesses that she heard the message that Alicia had sent out. However, when Alicia gets to where she had seen the little girl, she's gone. The little girl catches Alicia's attention again and tells Alicia that she needs to find her friend who is out there somewhere. The girl asks Alicia to help her find him as her friend knows how to get to PADRE. The girl runs off towards the Tower and, after a moment's hesitation, Alicia follows her.

Alicia awakens on a stretcher carried by Sarah, June, Luciana, Dwight and Daniel. Luciana explains that they wouldn't leave her behind and the four put down the stretcher at Alicia's request. Dwight explains that they had heard her SOS and Josiah LaRoux introduces himself, with Sarah explaining that Josiah is a friendly who got to Alicia before they did. "Good thing, too, or you'd be part of that herd." Alicia sees no sign of the little girl, mentioning that she can help them find PADRE, surprising Sarah that Alicia actually found her. Alicia tells them that the little girl had radioed them for help, but Luciana reveals that it was Alicia herself who had radioed them, and she points out that they don't even know if PADRE is real. Although Alicia believes that the little girl had helped kill the walkers, Dwight asks if she's sure about that and he points out the blood on Alicia's arm blades as proof that she had killed them herself.

Alicia insists that the little girl was there and that she had saved her twice while the blood is from before. June notices that Alicia is still burning up and Alicia admits that she had taken the adrenaline shot and that the little girl is real, but Josiah informs Alicia that she was alone when he found her. Alicia guesses that the little girl must've gone back to the Tower in order to send a message to find her friend that can help them find PADRE. Alicia insists upon going back to the Tower, but her friends are dubious, wanting to bring her back to the rafts. "I get it. I do. I would be doing the same thing if I were you, but... I'm not leaving without her." Dwight points out that they don't even know if the little girl is real, and Luciana asks why saving the little girl is so important to her. Alicia believes that it's not just how she's going to save her friends, but how she's going to save herself too.

June believes that going back to the rafts is Alicia's best shot, but Alicia reveals that the little girl got bit and she survived because her friend helped her. However, Luciana has seen someone tell the exact same lie before, and Alicia admits that she's been dreaming for months about dying and turning into a walker. Alicia doesn't want to die and turn into a walker, and she's convinced that the little girl can help her to live. June suggests that Alicia is just seeing the little girl because she wants to, but while Alicia knows how it sounds, she's convinced that the little girl is real. Daniel notes that when people doubted him, it didn't feel good, and Sarah points out that Daniel wasn't operating with all of his faculties, causing Daniel to joke that he might still be not. "Alicia helped me to see things more clearly. And I can't leave her to try to do this on her own. So, I'm coming with you," declares Daniel. Telling Daniel that she owes him one, Luciana agrees to help too, with June agreeing that Alicia will clear the tunnel faster with help and Dwight commenting that Sherry will kill him if he lets Alicia go alone. Commenting that she doesn't want to be the only asshole who said no, Sarah agrees to help, and she pulls Josiah in too.

Near the tunnel entrance, Alicia tries to raise the little girl on the radio while her friends work to clear the tunnel. Alicia doubts herself about the girl being real for a moment before the girl answers her. The girl reports that she's moving up the stairs and that she thinks that she can get to the roof from here. Alicia orders the girl to stay where she is as it's too dangerous to do this on her own, reporting that she's coming, and her friends are clearing the tunnel for her. Before the transmission breaks up, the girl tells Alicia that, once she's through the tunnel, the stairs are clear. Taking her single bullet, Alicia loads her gun in preparation for what's coming.

Luciana reports to her that they've cleared a path through the tunnel and, if the girl is in the Tower, they can get to her. Alicia tells Luciana that the girl is, Alicia talked to her, and she's going in after her. June and Sarah refuse to let Alicia go in alone, while Josiah reports that although they opened the tunnel up pretty good, they can't be sure that it'll be stable for long. Addressing her friends, Alicia orders them to get back to the rafts and prepare to leave, promising to radio them if she learns where PADRE is. Alicia tells Dwight that Sherry needs him, Sarah just found her brother, Daniel has to be there for Charlie, and Luciana has to show Arno's people the way while Alicia has to do this on her own. Reluctantly accepting this, Luciana promises to see Alicia and the girl at the shore and Alicia dons her gas mask and enters the tunnel.

As everyone gets the rafts ready for departure, a deeply concerned Luciana looks towards the burning Tower for Alicia. June orders everyone not to leave anything behind as they don't know how long they're going to be out there. Charlie looks around worriedly as Daniel comforts her and Josiah throws his stuff into a raft. June tells Luciana that they're ready and they can't miss the tide, reassuring Luciana that Alicia will catch up, but they can't be here when the radioactive walkers burn. Luciana reluctantly orders everyone into the rafts as they're shoving off, before a weak Alicia suddenly radios in, needing help. Alicia reveals that they're in the SWAT van, but they need help getting the rest of the way and Luciana promises to meet them there. Alicia admits that she found the little girl, but she found someone else too.

Alicia passes out again and she wakes up in a raft on the beach. June tells Alicia not to move, that the fever's still rising, and they have her on fluids and will try to make this raft as comfortable as they can. Grace reports that they need to move now as radiation readings are spiking and the walkers must've breached the fence. Alicia asks Grace if she's heard from Morgan. Grace reveals that the current took him in a different direction, but Morgan cleared the radiation. Alicia asks Grace to give Morgan a message for her, but Grace hands Alicia a radio and tells her that she can tell Morgan herself as Morgan had wanted to talk to Alicia too.

Alicia contacts Morgan, still floating on the ocean in his life raft and holding Mo, and apologizes to him for not doing what she said with the Tower. However, Morgan tells Alicia that she got everybody onto the rafts which is what matters. Also, Morgan thinks that Alicia might be right: he's been hearing some chatter on the radio that Morgan thinks might be PADRE. Morgan thinks that PADRE is real and that they might actually have some place to go to. Concerned, Morgan asks Alicia how she's feeling. Alicia tells Morgan that, no matter what happens to her, he needs to know that he won't be doing this alone. Morgan states that he won't be doing this alone because Alicia's going to be alright, but he loses contact with Alicia. Grace promises Alicia that if Morgan didn't hear her response, she'll make sure that he knows.

As the raft that she's on is dragged by, Charlie calls for it to stop and approaches Alicia who apologizes that she wasn't able to stop this from happening to her while Charlie is sorry that she wasn't there for Alicia either. Alicia tells the dying girl that Daniel's going to look after her, and Charlie tells Alicia that it's okay because Charlie finally got to do something that she never thought that she would and they finally got to see a beach. Daniel calls Charlie back to the raft and tells Alicia that he wasn't there for Ofelia at the end, but he will be there for Charlie. Daniel tells Alicia that he will see her again and leaves before Sherry thanks Alicia for taking Sherry and Dwight in like she did as they might not have made it this far without Alicia. Luciana tells Alicia that, if she didn't have to look after everyone else, she would be in the raft with Alicia, but Alicia tells Luciana that it's too dangerous and she has to do this alone.

However, Strand joins Alicia telling her that she won't have to do it alone. Strand jokes that while the raft might not be The Abigail, they can rough it out together. Against Strand's protests, Alicia climbs out of the raft telling Strand that she doesn't know much longer she has left or how fast she'll turn. While Strand is willing to take that chance, Alicia isn't. It's now up to Strand to make sure that everything they've been through means something. An emotional Strand refuses to go, but Alicia insists that he has to while people may have heard her message and are heading to the Tower. "You did make it mean something. You saved all of them. You saved me. You did what I asked you to do back at Lawton," Strand tearfully tells Alicia. Alicia pushes Strand's raft into the water and tells her old friend that she didn't just save him so that Strand could do what Alicia couldn't, Alicia did it because she loves him too. Alicia watches as the rafts leave, sharing a final wave with Strand. Falling to her knees as the rafts move out of sight, Alicia grabs her gun, but she passes out again before she can use it.

Season 8[]

While Sarah was not taken into PADRE, she washed ashore in Georgia with the other raft survivors. She, along with Wendell and Jacob, left the group and eventually found Luciana and the Gearheads, joining them and helping establish outposts and keeping the roads clear between Texas and the East Coast.[1]
