Saul is a character featured in the novel The Walking Dead: The Fall of the Governor. He is a resident of Woodbury, who is described as having a nicotine-yellow beard, an old, ancient face as wrinkled as wadded parchment, and is a Hasidic Jew with rotting teeth.

Saul appears with Charlie Banes and another homeless resident of Woodbury huddled around a barrel. As Brian Blake passes by he asks them if there are many biters in the area to which Charlie exclaims he's never heard them called that before.

Saul appears again with Charlie and another homeless man around their barrel outside the 'Feed and Seed' store in Woodbury. When Martínez and Sam fight after the murder of Josh Hamilton, Saul and the others dive out the way as the two crash through the store's window and knock over the barrel.
