Shane Walsh is one of two protagonists and determinately an antagonist, as well as a survivor of the outbreak in GameMill Entertainment's The Walking Dead: Destinies. He determinately serves as the primary antagonist of "Survival of the Fittest".
Pre-Apocalypse[]
King County, Georgia[]
Before the apocalypse began, Shane's partner and childhood friend Rick Grimes was shot in the line of duty. He desperately called for help as Rick fell into a coma.
Post-Apocalypse[]
After the outbreak began, Shane, believing Rick to be dead, took Rick's wife and son, Lori and Carl, to Atlanta for safety. He and Lori then started a romantic relationship and joined a small camp just outside the city, where Shane was quickly establishes as leader.
Welcome to the Apocalypse[]
"Life Worth Living"[]
Shane is in the woods with Lori, who gives him a kiss before she heads back to camp. After Lori leaves, Shane begins looking for food for the group, fighting off several walkers in the process.
After he gets back, Glenn and Merle/T-Dog return with Rick, whom Shane, Lori, and Carl are shocked to see alive and well. Shane looks on as the family embraces.
Later, Shane tries to talk to Lori, but she brushes him off and tells him her family is off-limits to him, as she departs.
"Overrun"[]
Following Rick's return, Shane quickly loses his position of leadership to the former. A few nights later, walkers overrun the camp, causing Shane and the rest of the survivors to flee to a vehicle jammed roadside. Later, he gets into a heated argument with Lori over him telling her Rick was dead.
Survival of the Fittest[]
"What Lies Ahead"[]
The survivors set up a temporary camp on a vehicle jammed highway while they plan to head towards Fort Benning. However before they can, Dale spots a horde approaching. A walker breaks through their defense and chases Carol's daughter Sophia away. Rick immediately goes after her.
Later, Shane and Carl find him, but without Sophia. Shane and Rick get into an argument, while Carl spots a deer. The conversation is cut short, when a gun shot rings out and Rick and Shane see Carl and the deer have been shot. Shane and Rick rushes over to Carl and Rick carries him to a farm, owned by an old man named Hershel Greene, along with his daughters Maggie and Beth. Hershel tells Rick to take Carl inside. Some time later, Hershel manages to stabilize Carl's condition, but the bullet broke into pieces and he doesn't have the right equipment. He tells them the nearest hospital burned down, but FEMA set up a shelter at the high school. Shane volunteers to go with the help of one of the Greene daughters.

After tensions boil over, Shane brings Rick out to an open field alone, with intention to kill him. If the player sides with Rick, then after a hard fought battle, Rick kills Shane by stabbing him in the chest. Soon afterwards, Shane reanimates and is immediately shot in the head by Rick.

- He is one of the seven characters who can determinately outlive their TV Series counterpart, the others being Merle Dixon, Theodore Douglas, Lori Grimes, Dale Horvath, Hershel Greene, and Philip Blake.
- He is also one of the four characters who can suffer the same fate as his TV Series counterpart, (Determinant) the others being Lori Grimes (Determinant), Sophia Peletier, and Penny Blake (Determinant).
- Unlike his TV counterpart, this version of Shane seems to hold some religious beliefs. This is most notably seen when he asks for God to forgive him after he leaves Maggie/Beth.
- While Rick and Shane are fighting to the death, Shane mentions how he stole the principals car, similar to his TV counterpart.
- This version of Shane is one of the two characters in the franchise who can directly kill a version of Rick Grimes, the other being Sebastian Milton in the Comic Series.
