Location of crossing[]
They park their truck to cross by boat at the remnants of the Brooklyn Bridge which connects Brooklyn to Manhattan. They left from vicinity of Culpeper, Virginia where Hilltop was located. It seems the simplest crossing would be from New Jersey in the Weehawken/Hoboken area. That is where people crossed by ferry prior to the bridges/tunnels being constructed. The path they took had them take one of the two bridges to Staten Island then the Verrazano Narrows bridge to Brooklyn. Somehow the Marshals knew they were going to take this obscure path, and park their car right next to them. --Riartton (talk) 20:43, 30 July 2023 (UTC)
- The Marshals had Maggie's map and they checked all of the possible river crossing locations on it.--WarGrowlmon18 (talk) 20:56, 30 July 2023 (UTC)
- They did not come from Hilltop, they came from the New Babylon Federation (unclear where that is, apparently Virginia which makes no sense). They left the Easy Stay Motor Inn (which is in NBF territory) and went close enough to the Bricks for Nina to get Ginny, which is up in the NY/NJ area, before heading for Manhattan. It appears they launched their boat from Jersey City (or that area) and went all the way around the lower tip of Manhattan to the eastern side where the Brooklyn Bridge was. Why? No idea, maybe debris and boat wrecks in the water, or they just wanted to show the destroyed Brooklyn Bridge. Unclear how Maggie and Hershel got back to NJ where their truck was, but apparently Armstrong and Ginny got back via floatillas in Chelsea (west Manhattan) where Armstrong once worked, and that would have taken them down past Hoboken towards Jersey City since the marshals parked where Maggie’s truck was. --Mistertrouble189 (talk) 20:58, 30 July 2023 (UTC)
- Yeah, I bet that that was probably just a mistake on Eli Jorné's part, saying that it was in Virginia.--WarGrowlmon18 (talk) 21:00, 30 July 2023 (UTC)
