The Road to Woodbury[]
On the afternoon of Lilly Caul and Josh Hamilton's first day in Woodbury, a commotion in one of the vacant lots on the northern edge of the village draws the attention of the townspeople. The pair hear nauseating screams coming from outside one of the cyclone fences, behind a wooded grove, and they race along the edge of the construction zone to see what’s going on. They climb a mound of gravel and hear three gunshots a hundred fifty yards away. In the distance they notice five men gathered around a hole in the fence. The Governor holds an automatic pistol in his hand and on the ground next to him, a teenage boy bleeding from bite wounds is tangled in the jagged chain-link fence. He claws at the dirt, trying frantically to free himself and return home. Directly behind him are the corpses of three dead walkers, all shot in the head.
The boy apparently ventured out the safe-zone by himself to explore the woods and was attacked. Now he writhes in pain and terror on the ground, as Blake stands emotionlessly over him. Brian then shoots him in the head with his 9-millimeter.
