Day 1 - The Trials
- The Wildfire virus is declared a global pandemic by the Center for Disease Control and World Health Organization. The entirety of the human race is infected. All recently-deceased people who do not die from extreme head trauma reanimate as walkers and attack the living. (Wildfire)
- The Primrose team, the group of scientists from la Biomédicine DDMI responsible for the creation of Wildfire, attend a conference in Toledo, Ohio. They share their knowledge in an attempt to prevent disaster. (The Last Light)
- In King County, Sheriff's Deputy Rick Grimes continues to have a fight from the night before with his wife, Lori. While arguing in the morning, Lori asks Rick in front of their son, Carl, if he cared about her and Carl at all. (Days Gone Bye; Bloodletting)
- In Los Angeles, Nick Clark awakens to find his reanimated girlfriend Gloria cannibalizing a man. Nick flees the church and into the streets, but is struck by a vehicle. Nick is taken to Temple Community Hospital, but no one believes his story. (Pilot)
- In El Sereno, Madison Clark gets a call from the hospital that Nick had been discovered after being missing and was in an accident. Madison, her daughter Alicia, and husband Travis Manawa go to the hospital. Madison has Travis stay at the hospital while she goes to work at Paul R. Williams High School.
- Travis talks to his ex-wife Liza Ortiz about their son Chris, who does not want to spend the weekend with his father. Travis concedes and allows Chris to stay with his mother. (Pilot)
- Arriving at work, Madison confronts Tobias, a student who had set off the metal detectors. After discovering he had a vegetable knife, Tobias explained that it was for protection against the infected, as he has heard reports of a strange disease that causes violence. Madison confiscates his knife and assures him that everything is fine. (Pilot)
- During lunch, Rick Grimes and Shane Walsh discuss women and Rick's marriage. The two get a call about two suspects being chased down the highway and engage in a shootout, with one of the criminals shooting Rick in his bulletproof vest. After the police kill the two criminals, a third criminal shoots Rick in the back. He is transported to Harrison Memorial Hospital, where he goes into surgery and an induced coma. (Days Gone Bye)
- Outside King County Elementary School, Lori and her friend Paula talk about her marriage and Rick while they wait for their kids. Shane arrives and tells Lori that Rick had been shot and is in the hospital. Lori relays this information to Carl as Shane looks on. Lori and Carl visit Rick in the hospital, where Carl offers to give Rick blood as they share the same blood type. (Bloodletting, Nebraska)
- Lucille Smith goes to the doctor for an MRI and is diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. She attempts to call her husband Negan, but doesn't pick up. Lucille then calls her best friend, Janine, but she also doesn't pick up. Lucille calls Negan's probation officer, but he reveals he didn't have another meeting with Negan for a few more weeks. After learning Negan lied and looking at her phone history, she realizes Negan is having an affair with Janine. Heartbroken, Lucille turns on the radio and hears initial reports on the virus but angrily changes it. (Here's Negan)
- Lucille waits for Negan to come home with a handgun ready to kill him. When he arrives, she instead hands him informational pamphlets and reveals she has pancreatic cancer. After that, Negan breaks up with Janine and dedicates himself to his marriage. (Here's Negan)
- Ohio Congresswoman Deanna Monroe arrives in Washington, D.C. with her husband, Reg Monroe, and their sons Aiden and Spencer for an emergency political meeting over the Wildfire virus. (Remember)
- Travis investigates the church that Nick was sleeping at. He initially finds nothing but a crazed addict living inside, who begs Travis not to kill him. Travis continues into the main room and finds a puddle of wet blood and gore. Startled, he heads home. (Pilot)

August 26th
|
Day 2
- The World Health Organization publishes an "International Disaster Emergency Response" memorandum, instructing public health officials on how to dispose of the remains of infected individuals. Advice includes the disregard of DNR (Do Not Resuscitate) patients and the removal of patients to a morgue if efforts to restore life are unsuccessful within 60 seconds. If signs of life resume thereafter, the remains are to be regarded as a biological hazard.
- As global disaster appears evident, the U.S. Army prepares by enacting P.A.D.R.E -- an island fortress in Georgia is stocked with supplies necessary to survive -- with the intention of delivering additional supplies to various locations in the southern United States. Numerous politicians are given documents on P.A.D.R.E. in the event of evacuation, one of them being Oklahoma Junior Democratic Senator Elias Vazquez. (PADRE, Odessa)
- Weapons Officer of the USS Pennsylvania, Lt. Jason Riley, oversees a training exercise involving Farley, Winokur, and Middlebrook launching the vessel's nuclear missiles. They collectively fail the test exercise. (Dead in the Water)
- Nick's elderly roommate goes into cardiac arrest. The doctors and nurses spend several moments trying to revive him, but to no avail. The now-deceased man is then immediately taken by Dr. Adam Gould to the hospital's basement, where the deceased patients are being stored in an effort to contain the virus and avoid panic. Afterward, Nick escapes and steals the man's clothes and wallet, buys a burner, and contacts his dealer before hiding under a bridge. (Pilot)
- Negan takes Lucille to the doctor after receiving her diagnosis and she is put on chemotherapy, and they receive a calendar of when Lucille should receive treatments. Her success rate appears to be high as long as they stick with their treatment plan. Preparing to become bald, Lucille buys numerous wigs of style and color. (Here's Negan)
- Luis Flores is sent to Los Angeles to close on a deal, but Victor Strand decides to attend as well to fasten the deal. (Blood in the Streets)
- Madison and Travis go to the house of Calvin Jasper, a friend of Nick's, and inform him of Nick's disappearance. Calvin politely offers his help to find Nick. (Pilot)
- Alicia and her boyfriend, Matt Sale, agree to meet at the Santa Monica beach after school. Matt is later bitten on the shoulder by a walker and retreats inside his house, but begins to suffer from the infection. Alicia goes to the beach and begins to worry as Matt doesn't respond to her text messages. (Pilot)
- A man dies on the freeway when his car flips over a guardrail. As the freeway backs up due to the accident and the scene is covered by news helicopters, the man reanimates and bites the paramedic attending to him before attacking the nearby police officers and firemen. The reanimated man is beaten by police with their batons and is shot in the chest several times. After the man gets back up, an officer delivers a final headshot that puts the man down. Travis and Madison are present on the freeway trying to head home from Calvin's. Travis backs up and drives away from the scene after hearing the gunshots. (Pilot)
- While the news helicopter cuts the live feed before the attack, the rest of the footage is leaked online by the reporter. Video footage taken by civilians on the freeway with camera phones also record the incident and is posted online. (Pilot)

August 27th
|
Day 3 - Monument Day
- Despite the vast media coverage of the Wildfire virus, the majority of the US population doesn't understand the full extent of the current crisis. Nearly all hospitals are full and refuse new patients, and are quickly overrun with bitten and reanimated patients. Schools across the country see a massive spike in student absences as parents pull their kids from school or families are killed by the undead. All major cities across the country experience extreme gridlock and gas shortages, as many attempt to flee large urban areas, which likewise leads to a rise in traffic accidents. People begin panic-buying and looting in light of the crisis, and the police deal riots on top of the undead, leading many officers to abandon their precincts to prepare and evacuate with their families. The chaos results in electrical grid failures and city-wide blackouts as the workers likewise abandon their posts or are overrun by the undead. Major communication jams occur as people attempt to reach their loved ones or emergency services. (Pilot, So Close, Yet So Far, The Dog, Blair / Gina, Torn Apart)
- Fewer students arrive to Paul R. Williams High School due to the virus and the shooting from the night before. The video of the shooting is shown to all the employees and Principal Art Costa, who then contacts the school district. The school district decides to release school early in the morning. In class, Alicia and two friends watch footage of the highway incident on their phones before their teacher confiscates them. Principal Costa announces that school will be a half-day, and Madison tells Alicia to go home. However, Alicia notices Matt was also absent from school and decides to go to his house. (Pilot)
- Elton Ortiz goes with his parents to his father's office and storeroom at the Nebraska Natural History Museum to be shown all the fossils his father worked with. Amelia, however, got a text that her meeting at Nebraska State University had been pushed further up, prompting her to leave. After Isaac warned her about the virus and police activity at the local hospital, Elton revealed he had decided to name his baby sister Esmerelda. His mother then left while his father brought him to his desk and taught him how to brush and clean a fossil. (Madman Across the Water)
- Nick meets Calvin, his dealer, to see if the drugs he gave were laced. They drive to the LA river and Calvin attempts to kill Nick, but Nick manages to take Calvin's pistol and kills him instead. He calls Travis to help him, and Travis and Madison arrive and find that Calvin's body is gone. They then find Calvin, reanimated, in the tunnel. Nick tries to kill him with the truck, but the undead Calvin is unable to die. Travis and Madison make a plan to get Alicia, Chris, and Elizabeth and leave LA for the desert until the crisis passes. - Alicia visits her boyfriend's house, finding him very ill. She's forced to leave him behind when Madison and Travis arrive to take her home and discover that he was bit, fearing Matt will infect her and that they will both turn violent like the others have been. (Pilot, So Close, Yet So Far)
- Shane visits Rick in the hospital with flowers. While out on their rounds, Leon Bassett and Shane Walsh each encounter mysterious bites. They both bring in people who were sick, bit, or had shot someone in self-defense. After shooting a "crazed inmate" and saving Leon from getting bit, Shane calls Lori and tells her to stay at home until he arrives, believing the situation is likely getting worse. - Custodian Marion Genet works her shift at the Louvre in Paris, France and is reprimanded by her supervisor. Fellow custodian Sabine urges Marion to stand up for herself and to attend a janitor's meeting on their break. At the meeting, Sabine organizes the details of a walk-out of the janitorial staff on Saturday. While she's prepared a pamphlet for the tourists to explain, Genet states that the tourists don't care as they are only here to take a selfie with the Mona Lisa, not worry about French healthcare. Sabine reveals that it's a national walkout, but Genet doesn't see the point. Annoyed, Sabine states that Genet's negativity isn't helpful urges her to be engaged. Everyone's phones go off with an alert which someone suggests is probably another bomb threat, meaning that they'll be stuck at the Louvre for awhile. In reality, these alerts are related to the outbreak. (L'Invisible)
- In El Sereno, Joanna Cruz prepares for her daughter Gladys's ninth birthday despite numerous cancellations due to the virus. Madison then tells Joanna about the seriousness of the virus, causing Joana to once cancel Gladys's birthday party. Meanwhile, neighbor Peter Dawson succumbs to the infection and dies. Another neighbor, Susan Tran, commits suicide by overdose after witnessing a reanimated person, believing it to be the end times prophesied by the Bible. The electricity to El Sereno, like other parts of Los Angeles, begins to experience rolling blackouts. (So Close, Yet So Far)
- While Travis goes to get Eliza and Christopher, Madison calls the pharmacy to get medicine to help Nick with his addiction when they go to the desert. When the phone lines disconnect, she goes back to the high school and gets drugs from the confiscated contraband. At the school, she encounters Tobias, who returned for his knife and to loot the school for its canned food. While Madison helps Tobias with taking the canned food, they encounter a reanimated Artie, whom Madison is forced to kill by bludgeoning him with a fire extinguisher. She drops Tobias off at his house before they part ways. (So Close, Yet So Far)
- Hershel Greene and his family retreat to their farm. Without his parents, Jimmy joins his girlfriend Beth and her family along with their farmhand, Otis, and his wife, Patricia. In the ensuing chaos, Annette and Shawn Greene are bitten and succumb to the infection. Devastated and delusional, Hershel takes his wife and step-son into the barn and barricades them in as they reanimate, with the intention of keeping them safe until a cure is found. (Bloodletting)
- While on the bus on his way home from school, Christopher joins a protest after people witness an officer shoot down an undead homeless man. The officer is bitten, and the police cordon the area as the protests grow. Travis arrives at Liza's to bring her and Chris along to the desert. Liza then discovers that Chris is at the protest downtown. Travis and Liza then find Chris at the protest and run when riot control arrives and the police shoot another undead civilian, causing the protestors to riot. Amidst the chaos, they take shelter in Daniel Salazar's barbershop where his wife, Griselda, and daughter, Ofelia, are residing. (So Close, Yet So Far)
- At the Circle of Trust Insurance Company in Atlanta, Georgia, the office receives an influx of calls due to accidents caused by the chaos. Manager Blair Crawford assures insurance agents Jasmine, Simon, and Joel; and receptionist Gina, that the virus is sensationalist hype from the media. Gina keeps a profile of Blair's possible mental disorders, and is concerned she shares some of Blair's disorders through folie à deux. Blair leaves early with her fiancé, Brian, to spend the weekend on Jekyll Island. (Blair / Gina)
- Department of Homeland Security Agent Leo Rogers is aware of the international situation and takes his son, Wendell, in an attempt to evacuate Atlanta on one of the open roads remaining. In the process, he is bit on the wrist by a walker. With his gas tank nearly empty, he drives to a local gas station, but is backed up due to the gas shortage crisis. (Blair / Gina)
- Gina leaves early and inadvertently goes to the same gas station as Blair and Agent Leo Rogers to get supplies, but finds the store stripped bare and out of gas due to the shortage crisis. Blair confronts Gina about her work ethic and fires her. After Gina notices a sickly man with a bite mark, she grabs her shotgun and holds up a truck driver in order to take his oil tanker. Blair and Agent Leo Rogers attempt to talk Gina down, but the sickly man that Gina saw earlier dies, reanimates, and attacks his wife. Agent Rogers goes to intervene and shoots the sickly man after it bites and kills Wendell. In the chaos, Blair and Gina take the truck. (Blair / Gina)
- A woman is hit by a car and is left for dead in the middle of the road. A woman named Judy returning home with groceries comes across the scene and attempts to revive the woman on the road. When applying mouth-to-mouth, the woman reanimates and bites Judy on the lips. Judy escapes, but then dies of blood-loss and reanimates. She then returns home to her husband, Andrew. (Torn Apart)
- Mike Palmer, who had been celebrating his fiftieth birthday with his family, is attacked by the undead. His wife Maggie and their two sons are bitten and killed by the undead. Maggie reanimates first and bites Mike on the leg, forcing him to shoot her in the head with his shotgun. His two sons then reanimate, but he is unable to kill them. He locks them upstairs and stayed in the basement. (Torn Apart)
- Andrew discovers his dog, Max, viscously wounded by a walker and goes to Mike Palmer's house for a shotgun. Mike confronts Andrew as he explains his need to lend his shotgun to put down his injured dog. At Mike's request, Andrew kills Mike with his own shotgun out of mercy. Andrew then returns to his house and shoots his dog out of mercy. While washing his hands and listening to a radio broadcast, the power goes out and his reanimated wife, Judy, enters the home. He accidentally shoots her with the shotgun, and believes he's killed her. He then wraps Judy up in a rug carpet. (Torn Apart)
- Hannah and her children, Jamie and Billy, mourn the loss of their goldfish, with Hannah explaining to her children that everything dies. Hannah later takes Jamie and Billy in her SUV. A group of people run out in the middle of the road, causing Hannah to swerve and hit a tree, rendering her unconscious. Jamie and Billy leave their mother in the car, believing her to be dead, and go to their father Andrew's house. (Torn Apart)
- Hannah eventually regains consciousness. She makes it to the house after being chased by the undead and is rescued by Andrew. While Hannah gets first aid from Andrew, Judy reanimates and attacks Jamie and Billy. Hannah protects her kids by killing Andrew's reanimated wife with an axe. Hannah and the kids continue to take shelter in Andrew's house during the crisis. (Torn Apart)
- In Atlanta, Theodore Douglas drives his church van to the home of every senior citizen he knew, just in case they need a ride. (Say the Word)
- David Chambler hears of the outbreak and drove to pick up his daughters, Lilly and Tara, and his granddaughter, Meghan, from Atlanta. He drives his family out of the city back to his apartment, takes all the food from the truck, and barricades his family inside. (Live Bait)
- A prisoner at the West Georgia Correctional Facility dies and reanimates, attacking other prisoners and guards - causing more to reanimate. The ensuing violence then causes a massive riot within the prison. Two guards escort a group of five prisoners, Tomas, Andrew, Big Tiny, Oscar, and Axel when they get surrounded. The guards take the prisoners inside the cafeteria and lock them in there to stay safe until backup arrives. However, they never return and are presumed dead. The inmates remain locked inside the cafeteria with no way of getting out. (Sick)
- At the Galveston County Jail in Texas, a prisoner named George is taken from death row to be executed. His fellow prisoner, former cult leader Theodore Maddox, assures him not to be afraid and that a new beginning was coming soon. Correctional Officer Hayes then mocks Maddox's beliefs. While George is executed via lethal injection, Maddox watches the news on his television report on the new epidemic that is causing widespread violence and death. (Mother)
- Gina drives the oil tanker to reach her brother and nieces in Atlanta. As she and Blair drive on an overpass, they notice a massive pile-up below of civilians trying to escape Atlanta and being chased by a massive herd of the undead. Blair and Gina decide to help by pouring gasoline from the tank on the street below and setting it on fire, killing the walkers and saving the civilians. The tanker blows up, but Blair and Gina survive. Reconciling their differences, they decide to keep going to find Gina's brother and nieces. (Blair / Gina)
- Thomas Abigail tries to prevent Strand from heading to LA, citing nationwide rioting and the outbreak of the mysterious pathogen. Strand promises to return soon from the deal, kissing Thomas goodbye. (Blood in the Streets)
- Isabelle Carriere attends a nightclub in Paris and seduces several men in order to steal from them. As she exits the club, she hears screaming from inside and flees the building. Outside, a man is attacked and a woman is hit by a car trying to escape. Isabelle retreats to the subway station, but the train goes past the station as it becomes overrun with the undead. Several zombies enter the station, forcing Isabelle and others onto the streets as Paris erupts into full chaos. Isabelle goes to check on a man hit by a car, but discovers he has reanimated and sees others like him on the streets attacking people. Isabelle's boyfriend, Quinn, rescues her by hitting the man with his car. Isabelle gets in and they drive away to safety. (Alouette)
- At the Louvre, alarms go off throughout the museum as Marion Genet is on the phone with her husband, Adrien, attempting to understand the situation. Adrien, making his way through a massive traffic jam on foot, is unable to get in the staff entrance as the whole building is on lockdown. Everyone is being told to go home, lock the doors, and wait. Adrien reaches the main entrance, but the police and National Guardsmen prevent him from entering and Marion from exiting. Outside of the Louvre pyramid, a zombie herd arrive. Through the glass of the pyramid, Adrien reassures his wife that it's going to be okay and that he loves her, but two zombies grab and devour Adrien as Marion can only watch on and scream in horror before sobbing. Still crying, Marion walks into the empty gallery and looks at the Mona Lisa. (L'Invisible)
- Elena Reyes is running a hotel in Tijuana, where a wedding reception is taking place for Oscar Diaz and Jessica Stowe. Ilene Stowe, the mother of the bride, makes plans to leave as news reaches them of the imminent closing of the USA-Mexico border. When Jessica's father Charles has a heart attack and dies, he reanimates and attacks his daughter. Elena and her nephew Hector lock the guests in the reception area and awaits rescue in the hotel. - Mia Belshaw is playing in her background when she is attacked and bitten by a man. She is taken inside by her parents, Kevin and Lyla. She begins to develop a fever and Kevin decides to spend the night in Mia's bed with her. (Who Are You?)
- Brandon Luke, Troy, Derek, and James; childhood friends and UCSD students from San Diego, California, are vacationing in the Sea of Cortez in Baja California to party. They see a walker that they mistake as a drunk man. The "wasted" man then bites Troy. Taking refuge at a campsite, Troy knows he is dying and needs to be put down. However, as his friends prepare to kill him he loses his nerve and begs for his life. James then shoots him in the head. The friends then decide try to and pass the border back into the United States. (Do Not Disturb, Date of Death)
- Jennifer Mallick attends a bar in New York with Drake and her friends in the U.S. Marines. Blindfolded, Drake spots for her to throw three perfect darts on the bullseye. The two flirt at the jukebox, despite arguing about the incident in Devil's Pass. Jennifer, Drake, and the other bar patrons then grow silent as the television shows breaking news of the undead and Garnett Medical Center getting overrun. The undead then attack the bar, forcing the patrons to flee. (Truth or Dare)
- As Teddy Maddox eats dinner, alarms begin going off and his cell door opens as chaos erupts. Having been executed by lethal injection for his crimes, George turned and attacked his guards, who subsequently turned as well. The undead begin to overrun the prison, and the reanimated Hayes attacks Teddy, who puts him down with his pen to the head. Teddy is elated that he was right, stating that he just needed to be patient, and, he tells Hayes that "it's not bullshit, Hayes. It's Revelation." Grabbing his journals and the picture of his mother off of the wall, Teddy flees the prison as it falls to the undead. (Mother)
- Matt Sale's parents arrive home from Las Vegas. While in the middle of unpacking, with the car still on, his parents enter their home and discover Matt has died from the infection, reanimated, and are attacked by him. (So Close, Yet So Far)
- Pearl Thorne, a South African Navy sailor, plays poker in Las Vegas. Shortly after she begins playing, the lights go out as the city is overrun. (Years)
- Madison returns home with the medicine, but wounded, after being forced to kill Artie. Travis calls Madison to let her know that he, Eliza, and Christopher are stuck in the city but will make it to them soon. As Alicia asks what is happening, a reanimated Peter Dawson attacks Joana Cruz in her front yard. When Alicia tries to go outside to help, Madison closes and blocks the door - causing Joana and her family to be devoured by Peter. (So Close, Yet So Far)
- As the situation worsens in Lincoln, Nebraska - Isaac Ortiz has Elton get into a crate in order to hide so that he can look for a safe way home and to find Amelia. He gives Elton a triceratops horn fossil and tells him it will keep him safe. Isaac then locks his door from the outside so no one can get in as he tries to find a safe way home. However, he is devoured by the undead and reanimates. (Madman Across the Water)
- In Chicago, Illinois, thoracic surgeon Tomichi Okumura abandons his hospital and attempts to call his sister, Yumiko, but is unable to reach her and instead leaves a voice message. He escapes Chicago by car and heads east. (Out of the Ashes)
- Washington D.C. is placed under martial law by the U.S. Army and orders a complete evacuation of essential government employees and members of congress. Civilians are to remain in the city until after the priority evacuation. A secretary named Paula is forced to stay at her place of work with her boss. She kills her boss in order to save herself from his poor survival skills and escapes back home to her husband and four daughters. However, her family died before she was able to return home. - Deanna Monroe and her family are among the first to evacuate from Washington D.C. With them is Aaron, a former government employee, and his husband, Eric Raleigh. As the Monroe Family drives back to Ohio in order for Deanna to help manage the crisis in her district, a military convoy stops their car on a backroad and diverts them to Alexandria, a self-sustaining residential development that had been fenced and converted into a military safe zone for politicians. The Monroe's and Raleigh's are placed in Alexandria and await for the military to arrive at the safe zone. (Remember)
- Senator Elias Vazquez and his staff, including PR campaign aide Will, are in Galveston, Texas. After the hospitals grow overcrowded, Vazquez's security detail brings him and his staff to a fallout bunker underneath the Franklin Hotel in order to rendezvous with other government officials to be evacuated to PADRE, but they never come. - Baltimore, Maryland is overrun. Residents Dee, Frank, and their daughter Lydia take shelter in a warehouse basement along with Cyrus, Lamar, Amanda, Matias, and Rose. (Omega)

August 28th
|
Day 4 - Operation Cobalt/The Night the Sky Fell
- Mallick, Drake, and her fellow Marines report for duty. As widespread violence and riots breaks out across the country, Mallick and her squad are ordered to enter the city's service tunnels, locate the "well" civilians and separating them from the "sick" in order to contain the crisis. In the tunnels, Mallick discovers that the undead only go down to a headshot. Despite the electrical grid falling, Mallick and Drake then spot several civilians and rescue them from the undead. - TruWest Airlines Flight 462 departs Los Angeles to its destination in Phoenix, Arizona just as Los Angeles becomes overrun. On board is a bitten man, Marcus, and his wife, Suzanne. Another passenger is Jake Powell, whose mother's seat was taken by Alex - a woman aware of the nature of the outbreak and trying to escape Los Angeles (Flight 462).
- Governors from eleven states declare a state of emergency and request the National Guard to quell riots and protests. The Federal Aviation Administration grounds all flights in an effort to contain the virus. Officials in numerous cities enforce curfews and declare martial law. (The Dog)
- The Governor of California passes an executive order, declaring a state of emergency, and detailing the extent and effects of the outbreak, which extends across "several states". - Manhattan is overrun. The U.S Military destroys the island's bridges and tunnels in an effort to contain the outbreak, as the city was one of the epicenters for the virus. A herd of one million walkers accumulates and dominates the streets, leaving only a small civilian population to inhabit the island. The survivors live above the tenth floors of several buildings, where they zipline over the streets as a means of transportation and manage self-sustaining hydroponic farms on rooftops to survive. - Perlie Armstrong manages to escape The Bronx with his parents and finds safety, but in the chaos leaves his brother behind in Manhattan. (Stories We Tell Ourselves)
- Quinn drives Isabelle to her apartment, requesting that she change her clothes. She wakes up her sister, Lily, who claims to not be feeling well. Isabelle takes her money and reveals that the city is in chaos. She returns to Quinn's car with Lily and sees her neighbor, Aimée, who reveals that her father never came home and her mother is distraught. Isabelle comforts her and tells her to go back inside. She then gets in the car with Quinn and Lily and drives away. (Alouette)
- Lincoln, Nebraska is overrun. Survivors are advised to evacuate to Nebraska State University. Professor Leo Bennett attempts to take his wife, Kari, and their daughters, Iris and Hope, to the NSU where he works; and where his adopted son, Felix, is currently staying. A passenger plane full of the undead flying over Lincoln is shot down by a fighter aircraft to stop the spread of the virus. The plane crashes in the streets of Lincoln, separating the family. While trying to take a pick-up truck, Kari Bennett is accidentally shot by Amelia Ortiz, wanting the truck for herself to find her family. Hope then retaliates by aiming but accidentally shooting the pregnant woman. Hope reunites with her family, but lies that their mother was devoured by the undead. This night is then referred to "The Night the Sky Fell" or "N.S.F." (Brave)
- Felix Carlucci leaves the safety of Nebraska State University to be with his parents during the N.S.F. in Lincoln. He attempts to call his parents but the call fails due to the communications being backed up. (The Blaze of Gory)
- The Manawa's and the Salazar's flee the barber shop residence as a fire breaks out next door. While escaping the streets of Los Angeles, full of rioters and the undead, scaffolding collapses on Griselda and she is injured. They take her to a nearby hospital but is overrun with the undead. They watch as the military fire on the walkers coming out of the hospital. They drive back to Madison's house in El Sereno as Daniel Salazar claims his cousin will pick them up in the morning. As they drive to El Sereno, the power permanently fails across the city. (So Close, Yet So Far, The Dog)
- Marcus becomes increasingly sick from his bite wound and locks himself in the bathroom, in which he dies. As Flight Attendant Deirdre attempts to revive Marcus, Alex tries to warn her about Marcus reanimating. The flight makes its way to Phoenix, Arizona; but is forced to turn back to Los Angles as the city loses power. Marcus then reanimates and attacks, biting Deidre. Air Marshall Anthony locks an undead Marcus back in the bathroom. (Flight 462)
- Nick, Alicia, and Madison try to spend time while waiting for Travis to return. After a brief game of Monopoly, Nick looks out the window to see the reanimated corpse of neighbor Peter Dawson stumbling towards their house. Nick remembers a shotgun that their neighbors, Patrick and Susan Tran, have and they leave to go after it. Inside the Tran's house, which appears to be vacant, they find the shotgun and several shotgun shells. Alicia looks through the window sees an infected Dawson enter the house and kills their dog. The three then see a car approach; Madison realizes that it is Travis and the three quickly leave to warn Travis. (The Dog)
- Travis is then attacked by an infected Dawson. Madison, with the shotgun, tries to shoot Peter. Daniel then takes the shotgun and shoots Peter twice in the head, putting him down. Meanwhile, Alicia is attacked by a reanimated Susan. Christopher and the others save her, and the family realizes that the infected are not sick but dead. Alicia realizes that Matt has died and reanimated into an infected. (The Dog)
- In Jacksonville, Florida, Jerry and his neighbors, siblings Tyreese and Sasha, hole up in his bunker under the shed in his garden. (The Suicide King)
- Negan and Lucille Smith take shelter in their basement and barricade their entire home. With the main electrical grid failing, Negan uses an external generator to power their home. He then begins to teach himself how administer chemotherapy for his wife's treatments. (Here's Negan)
- Quinn stops at a BP gas station to refill. He notices Lily is ill, and she reveals to Isabelle that she is several months pregnant. Quinn demands to abandon Lily as their safehouse has no place for a baby. Isabelle feigns in agreeing with him, only to pickpocket his keys and drive away with her sister. They later stop upon finding paramedics, but are attacked by a pack of walkers. Lily is attacked, but she and Isabelle get back in the car and flee. (Alouette)
- The Californian National Guard arrive in Los Angeles and begin fence El Sereno, deploying equipment and resources to assist in day-to-day life. They terminate reanimated Susan Tran before she can bite her husband, Patrick Tran. Due to being covered in his wife's infected blood, the National Guard transfer him to another facility to quarantine. (The Dog)
- Felix Carlucci survives the N.S.F. in Lincoln. He continues to run home in the streets to rescue his mother and father. Overhead, he sees fighter jets fly past him. (The Blaze of Gory)
- Flight 462 continues its flight to LA when Suzanne opens the bathroom door to try and save her husband. Marcus fatally bites Suzanne's throat. Anthony opens fire on Marcus, but a stray bullet hits a window. Alex, using one of the passenger's knitting needles, puts down Marcus and euthanizes Suzanne. The cabin window bursts and causes the plane to crash along the coast. Nick looks on as it passes his house. (Flight 462, The Dog)
- Lyla Belshaw enters her daughter's bedroom and discovers that Mia turned during her sleep and bit Kevin's throat. Lyla was unable to call for the authorities due to the phones being down, and her neighbors had fled the neighborhood. Kevin then reanimated hours later. Lyla barricaded the door and kept her undead husband and daughter in Mia's bedroom. (Who Are You?)
- The National Guard and Marines enter the Nebraska Natural History Museum and clear the area of the undead, while a scared Elton remains inside the crate. (Madman Across the Water)
- Hershel employs Otis to relocate nearby reanimated friends, neighbors, townspeople, and strangers in the barn with his wife and step-son, while Patricia feeds them live chickens. (Bloodletting)
- Due to the Center for Disease Control being located in Atlanta, Georgia, the National Guard provide greater defense and security to the city. One of the largest refugee centers in the country is established in Atlanta, and people in the surrounding rural areas of Georgia are recommended to evacuate there. (Days Gone Bye)
- Under the command of Major General Krennick of the U.S. Army, a number of the country's surviving military forces build a fortress on an island in Georgia using supplies kept in shipping containers at a shipyard. This was enacted by Operation P.A.D.R.E. Its initial purpose was to use the hundreds of shipping containers - each of which contained enough supplies to build a community - to help rebuild the world. With him are his children, Sam and Ben Krennick. (Odessa)
- Martha and her husband, Hank, crash their car into a guardrail while trying to leave the city. Hank is impaled, and Martha exits the car to get help. Multiple cars pass Martha as she tries to wave them down. She kills a walker that spots her on the road. Martha returns to the car and assures Hank that help is coming, despite his pleas to leave him. (MM 54)
- Michonne Hawthorne, her boyfriend, Mike, their son, Andre Anthony, and their best friend Terry survive the outbreak in Atlanta and evacuate to the refugee camp. Michonne finds a katana and uses it to defend herself against the undead as she volunteers to go on supply runs for the camp. (A)
- In northern Ohio, Tomi runs out of gas. He meets a group of good people and they discover that they are twenty miles north of a secured city and are rescued. (Out of the Ashes)
- Felix Carlucci eventually reaches his parents' house but they still refuse to let him in or allow him to help them because of his homosexuality. Felix weeps on the porch after being rejected and leaves to go back to the University. His parents later to succumb to the outbreak. (The Blaze of Gory)
- Isabelle and Lily arrive to the Abbey of Saint Bernadette where they meet Father Jean, Mother Superior Véronique, and Sylvie. Father Jean discovers Lily has been bitten. She is taken inside and prepared to give birth prematurely at seven months. She thanks Isabelle for taking care of her and has her promise to take care of her child. Lily dies from the infection and reanimates. Jean performs a C-section and successfully delivers her son. Isabelle takes her nephew away as Father Jean begins an exorcism on Lily. Upon seeing a statue for St. Laurent, Isabelle names her nephew Laurent. (Alouette)

- Hank dies from his injuries during the night and Martha puts him down after he reanimates. After burying him, Martha loses her mind. When truckers begin leaving stuff to help people, she goes on a murderous rampage as she develops a philosophy that altruism breeds weakness. (MM 54)
- After two days, Elton emerges from the crate and discovers his father, who had reanimated and was put down by the soldiers. Grief-stricken, he takes a souvenir tote bag, puts his fossil and other belongings inside, and exits the building. Elton then finds an evacuation flier to the Nebraska State University quarantine zone and makes his way there. Along the way, he loses his bag - but arrives at the university. Day 5 to Day 12
- French scientists in la Biomédicine DDMI experiment with cardiac plaques as a host-medium for steroidal therapies to jump-start the circulatory system in the hopes of short-circuiting the brain or possibly regaining function to cause nerve confusion as way of activating systems to work against reanimation. Unknown to them at the time, this experiment causes a new variant of Wildfire - in which the reanimation time is reduced to seconds. The reanimated also have more strength, agility, and intelligence. The scientists send their findings to Dr. Edwin Jenner at the Center for Disease Control. (The Last Light)
- Twelve fenced off "safe zones" are created within the greater Los Angeles area by the Guard. A curfew is implemented in the safe zones, and no one is allowed outside the fences. Basic amenities including limited electricity are partially restored. Madison's home is used as a makeshift hospital and refugee center. Information about the outside world is heavily restricted and rumors spread amongst the populace. Outside of the safe zones, the infected are culled and any civilians who have not fled the city are executed by patrolling squads of soldiers. Liza uses her nursing abilities to help the safe zone residents. (Not Fade Away)
- Some staff working at the CDC leave the complex to be with their families as the outbreak grips Atlanta. (TS-19)
- In Atlanta, Guillermo hides out in the retirement home that he's the custodian of and cares for the elderly left behind. (Vatos)

- The Mert County, Georgia Department of Public Works is used as an evacuation shelter for any survivors in the County's area. The county's local law enforcement handle the walkers by killing or burning their corpses. (18 Miles Out)
- A FEMA camp is operated out of the Barrington House in rural Virginia, with trailers full of medicine and resources to deal with the outbreak. Business owner Gregory arrives at the Barrington House camp due to fondness for the house back when he attended meetings for the Chamber of Commerce there. Also arriving is Paul Rovia, nicknamed as Jesus. (The Next World)

Day 9
- Will Dixon and Buck go out hunting, Buck ambushed by walkers and killed. Will attempts to fight them off but is eventually overwhelmed and bitten. Will's half-brother Jess Collins arrives but gets bitten too. Will's son Daryl is unable to bring himself to put his father down, so Jess brings it upon himself to do it. (Survival Instinct)
- Daryl and Jess fill up on gas and travel to Sedalia where they find Jimmy Blake, who that mentions that Warren Bedford is trapped in the gas station down the road. Warren sends him to find his uncle Lester's keys to start the gas generator. Daryl finds Lester reanimated and puts him down before returning to Warren with the keys. Daryl starts the generator and the noise attracts Walkers to the gas station. Daryl escapes with fuel while Warren's fate is determined by the player's actions. Daryl and Jess exit the town with either Blake or Warren. (Survival Instinct)
- Daryl's group then travels to Garwater or Pemberton. If Daryl goes to Garwater, he finds Deputy Albert Lee, who he asks for a ride. however Lee tells him that he can't as he has to escort survivors to a safe location. He gives Daryl a double barreled shotgun and tells him to find Ranger Hartwell for a ride. Daryl finds Hartwell as a walker and kills him. He then takes the keys to his truck, and leaves. If he goes to Pemberton, he finds Sheriff Turner in his office still attempting to keep law and order in the county. Turner agrees to give Daryl a working car if he checks on two deputies he sent over to the motel. After finding the deputies dead, he returns to the station. Turner, disheartened over the loss of his deputies, gives Daryl a police cruiser. No matter where he chooses to go, Daryl encounters a reanimated Jess, who attacks him and Daryl puts him down. Day 10
- Daryl arrives in town to look for his brother, Merle. Daryl finds a diner, and meets Sheriff Turner's daughter, Anna. He learns that a sniper shot at them and injured her friend, Noah Cruz, and that another member of her group, Mia Parker, is trapped in the theater. He rescues Mia and heads to the police station. Daryl finds out that Merle is the sniper on the roof and that he is sunburned and feverish. He takes his brother to his vehicle and leaves town. (Survival Instinct)
- Daryl either goes to Cleburne or Oakview. If he goes to Cleburne, he finds Noah, who was treated for his gunshot wound. He states that Anna is searching the morgue for supplies. Later he finds a doctor who had gone insane looking for a cure and is using Noah as a test subject. Daryl has the decision to chose to save Noah or not. If Daryl goes to Oakview, he finds the place taken by survivors, whom shoot at him because they believe he made the breach in a fence which allowed walkers to take over the camp. He arrives at a building where he meets Mike Swenson, who asks him to join the group. Daryl gets the code to the exit door and makes it back to the vehicle. If Daryl went to Oakview, he goes to Taggart and crosses paths with Charlene Wilson who refuses to leave the drive-in. She does offer her car to him if he saves Satchmo, Charlene's cat. Daryl then proceeds to navigate his way through Taggart to get to Charlene's house. He manages to reach her house and retrieve Satchmo from the bedroom. However Satchmo makes a loud noise when Daryl picks his cage up, causing a group of walkers to come over to Daryl's location. He breaks through them and reaches the drive-in again, he gives Satchmo to Charlene, who gives him the keys in return. He locates the car, gets his group and leaves. (Survival Instinct)

September 4th

Day 11
- Daryl and Merle arrive at Lemon Hill on their way to meet Merle's old motorcycle gang at Jake's in Barksdale. Merle plans out a way to clear the path and keep the horde from reaching the bar before them. The town was rigged for a fireworks show, and Merle tells Daryl to find some extras boxes while he sets up the gas station. Daryl gets the supplies as needed and uses them to blow up a church full of walkers using the fireworks and a flare. Merle sets off the gas station, killing off the rest and allowing the two to escape in the ensuing chaos and drive out to Jake's. (Survival Instinct)
- The brothers reach Barksdale and Merle makes a break for the bar. Daryl finds that Merle only went there to get revenge on his gang members for turning on him, and to retrieve his drug stash. Merle, however, shows he came for Daryl's crossbow as well. The gang attacks Daryl and takes his supplies, leaving behind only his knife, and crossbow. He later retrieves his supplies and saves Anna before leaving. (Survival Instinct)

Day 12
- Daryl either goes to Lafferty or Archer Creek. If he goes to Lafferty, he encounters Noah. If Daryl saved Noah or didn't go the the hospital at all, Noah will happily greet him, giving the player the option to let him come along for the evacuation point. If he player chose the medicine over Noah's life, he begins shouting and screaming loudly to attract walkers in to the store, hoping that the walkers could kill Daryl. Noah is then pulled out through a nearby window and eaten by walkers. If Daryl goes to Archer Creek, he navigates his way through countless amounts of walkers, trying to unblock the road ahead. He eventually ends up at the exit to the dam. However he discovers that a gate is blocking the exit, he discovers it is locked and proceeds to talk with Chris Brian. Chris tells Daryl that in order to open the gate the fuse box must be flipped, Daryl asks where it is located and Chris says the far side of the building they are in. With some assistance from the Dam's snipers, Daryl makes it to the fuse box and opens the gate. Before leaving, Chris tells Daryl about the team he sent to ClaraClem laboratories and that he wants Daryl to keep an eye out. (Survival Instinct)
- If Daryl went to Lafferty, he arrives at an abandoned train yard in Polksville. He continues forward, avoiding a few walkers. A military helicopter flies above him. He runs, and starts hearing Merle's voice on his broken walkie, informing him of what to do and making fun of his performance in the situation. Daryl escapes and drives off. If Daryl went to Archer Creek, he goes to the the biotech research labs in Danvers, where he learns from Sheila Schneider that they never actually found a cure. When attempting to help Sheila, Anna Turner accidentally sets off the lab's alarm system and Daryl and Sheila make a run for the garage. (Survival Instinct)

Day 13
- Chris records his account of the events of the past 9 days. During the recording, he spots a signal light in a damaged building outside the safe zone. (Not Fade Away)
- During an announcement by the Guard, Andrew Adams meets Ofelia and tries to help her look for medicine for her mother. (Not Fade Away)
- The announcer then tells Travis that Douglas Thompson won't do the screening and his wife Travis convinces Doug to cooperate only to later learn Doug was taken by the Guard. (Not Fade Away)
- Nick siphons morphine from a patient's IV after Liza leaves his house. (Not Fade Away)
- Daryl arrives at Sherwood looking for information on the evacuation. He meets Jane Carroll who tells him that Aiden Carroll is signaling the evacuation choppers. He also finds Terry Harrison with his wife who has been bitten. Terry asks Daryl to go get antibiotics for her. Daryl reaches the pharmacy only to find it empty. He returns to Terry who shoots his wife in order to prevent her re-animation. In town, He finds Aiden on the roof of the pharmacy and told that he needs smoke pots from the mechanical shop. When Daryl attempts to get Jane and Terry the choppers come and leave him behind. Daryl then has to choose to either save Terry or Jane, as walkers are closing in on the area due to the noise from the helicopter. (Survival Instinct)
- Daryl's Group travel to the Firesign Stadium only to find it overrun with walkers and that all the Military personal have been killed. The evacuation is still in process and it is announced over the stadium's loudspeaker that the last evacuation helicopters will be landing in a few minutes. Daryl arrives at the helipad after fighting his way through the camp. He helps defend the last evacuation helicopter as it prepares for take off, Merle Dixon arrives to aid him in a Humvee. Daryl is about to board the helicopter but Merle pulls him off at the last second, stating the pilot has been bitten and that he was the only one Daryl could ever trust. They both leave the camp in the Humvee, as walkers close in and completely overrun the stadium. (Survival Instinct)

Day 14
- Madison attempts to contact the people who communicated with the light signals with a flashlight. Outside the safe zone, Madison finds the outside area dilapidated with trash, cars, and corpses littering the streets. (Not Fade Away)
- The head of the Guard assures Travis that no one alive is outside the walls. (Not Fade Away)
- Dr. Bethany Exner Bethany offers Liza a job as a nurse at her base outside the safe zone while examining Griselda and Nick. (Not Fade Away)
- Daniel tells Madison a story about how he found many bodies of people taken by his government, promised to return. He asks her look after Ofelia if something should happen to him. (Not Fade Away)
- At night, Griselda and Nick are taken by the Guard to the base and Liza goes with Bethany despite Chris' objections. (Not Fade Away)
- Travis sees the light signals and hears gunshots and sees brighter flashes coming from the location, indicating that the soldiers executed the survivors inside. (Not Fade Away)

Day 15
- In the military base outside the Los Angeles safe zones, Strand, now detained, eyes on Nick and prevents him from getting taken by the guards in order to use him for his escape plan. (Cobalt)
- Liza is busy helping the patients in a makeshift hospital when Bethany says that Griselda's foot had to be amputated. When Griselda dies from septic shock, she puts her down with air gun. (Cobalt)
- Andrew is taken prisoner in a basement by Ofelia and Daniel and is interrogated by Daniel who eventually resorts to torture to get him to talk. Ofelia is upset when she finds out about it. Travis barges into the interrogation room and learns about Operation Cobalt, which includes the evacuation of all military personnel in the LA basin, and the "humane termination" of those in quarantine. They learn that Cobalt will be in effect at 0900 PDT the next day. During this, Alicia and Chris see the National Guard abandoning the safe zone with looted supplies, leaving the safe zone vulnerable. The group decides to leave as well. Travis lets Andrew go despite Daniel's objections. (Cobalt, The Good Man)
- At the Center for Disease Control, the scientists begin to struggle with the low amount of resources. The infirmary is closed and sealed off. Dr. Edwin Jenner breaks a petri dish and almost punches the wall, but is stopped by his wife, head scientist Dr. Candace Jenner. Later, Dr. Edwin Jenner reviews the latest correspondence from scientists in France at la Biomédicine DDMI. (The Last Light)
- The FEMA camp at Barrington House in Virginia is abandoned by the military while the FEMA triage center at Cranwall High School in Georgia is overrun by infected. (Bloodletting; Knots Untie)
- Daniel frees the thousands of walkers trapped inside a coliseum and leads them toward the military camp, which Nick and Liza are staying. The walkers provide a distraction for the others to look for Nick, Liza and Griselda. Nick and Strand make their escape as the facility is overwhelmed by the Infected. They find Liza who aids them in finding the group where they inform them of Griselda's death. Three soldiers confront Chris and Alicia and commandeer their vehicle. Bethany euthanizes her remaining patients and stays behind, presumably to commit suicide. (The Good Man)

Day 16 - Sunset Protocols
- Strand and his group reunite with Chris and Alicia, but are then suddenly confronted by Andrew who points his gun at Daniel before shooting Ofelia instead, causing Travis to brutally beat him. They arrive at Strand's oceanfront mansion, where Strand reveals his plan to escape on his personal yacht, Abigail. Liza reveals to Madison that she has been bitten, and asks Madison to shoot her. Travis encounters the two on the beach, and eventually decides to shoot Liza himself. (The Good Man)
- In the suburbs of King County, Andrew decides they should try to get to Atlanta for safety. Realizing Mike Palmer has a truck, Andrew breaks into his house to take his keys, but he gets killed by Mike Palmer's reanimated sons. Hannah and the kids try to escape to a rescue helicopter in the park, but she is bit trying to get in a car. She sacrifices herself to a herd so that the children can make it to the helicopter. (Torn Apart)
- Operation Cobalt is declared by "higher authority" in the military chain of command at 0900 PDT, and confidential documentation is produced to provide instructions on executing it. Military personnel are told to pack lightly and are given assurance of their safety. Specific steps are given to be followed, and soldiers are to avoid arousing suspicion in the civilian population in the safe zones. Instructions regarding the handling of civilians and quarantined patients will follow separately, involving their "humane termination". (Cobalt)
- In New York, civilians are rounded up by the U.S. Marines, including Lance Corporal Jennifer Mallick. She and others receive orders from Central Command on "Sunset Protocol" - ordering them to shoot and kill all active individuals, even if they are alive and not bitten. Refusing to execute innocent civilians, Mallick turns off the lights kills all of Marines, including her friend, Drake. Mallick frees the civilians and leads them to safety. (Truth or Dare)
- The Harrison Memorial Hospital stops receiving supplies, causing patients to either die and reanimate or become desperate to fight and kill each other over medicine. Dr. Gale Macones was able to stitch several men with wounds, but the hospital became overrun with the undead. (The Oath)
- With King County becoming overrun with walkers, Shane comes to rescue Rick in the hospital where he witnesses the military shooting non-undead civilians and hides to evade capture from the soldiers. Trying to move Rick without disconnecting him from his life-support, the power shuts down. Believing Rick to be dead, Shane leaves Rick but blocks the door with a roll-away bed. Shane takes Lori and Carl and leaves town for Atlanta, which is supposedly safe. (TS-19)
- The military forces stationed in Atlanta and guarding the CDC are overrun. Most of the remaining staff at the facility flee or commit suicide. Dr. Candace Jenner is bit. Determined to not die in vain, Dr. Candace Jenner has Dr. Edwin Jenner monitor the process of her infection, death, and reanimation via MRI; and to keep searching for a cure. Dr. Edwin Jenner witnesses his wife's death and reanimation and records the process before shooting her in the head. Dr. Edwin Jenner recovers her brain tissue as a fresh sample to research the virus. (TS-19)
- While Dr. Candace Jenner's infection is being recorded, Dr. Edwin Jenner contacts la Biomédicine DDMI in France with a video message commending the scientists there for experimenting with cardiac-plaques to neutralize the reanimated and anticipates more updates on that venture, while lamenting on the difficulty of studying Wildfire's biology due to the specimens not being fresh, but reveals that they will have fresh samples soon. He recommends further studying of the virus before anything can be attempted, and suggests building up acids in bodies that don't have blood flow. Dr. Jenner also comments on the "variant cohorts" the French scientists mentioned and requests more information on them as they have not been reported in the United States. Dr. Jenner ends the video remaining hopeful for the French to find a solution. (The Last Light)
- As Atlanta's refugee center is overrun, Andrea Harrison and her sister, Amy meet Dale Horvath and escape in his RV. Other civilians: Glenn Rhee, Theodore "T-Dog" Douglas, Jacqui, and the Morales family manage to flee the city. Auto-mechanic Jim also manages to escape, but witnesses his family devoured by the dead. These survivors then set up a camp in Bellwood Quarry just outside Atlanta. Most civilians are not as lucky when the roads leading out of Atlanta are gridlocked in the chaos. (Frank Darabont)
- Chase arrives at the Self Storage Facility outside of Atlanta as it becomes overrun with the dead and comes across B.J. After B.J. tries to kill him, Chase frees Kelly who in turn kills B.J., her captor. The two take a truck and head to Cynthiana, Kentucky. (Cold Storage)
- By night fall, Operation Cobalt is in full effect. All major cities are napalmed and all major bridges are destroyed by the U.S. Airforce, while the Marines enter the cities and liquidate any survivors. (Chupacabra, Monster, We All Fall Down, Years)
- The military begins bombing Los Angeles and its outlying suburbs. Strand's house is overrun by the infected and set on fire by the bombs. The group flees in a Zodiac boat and boards Strand's yacht, casting off into the Pacific Ocean as the city burns behind them. (Monster)
- Portland, San Diego, Vancouver and all other major coastal cities are bombed in a last ditch effort by the military to contain the outbreak. The devastation from the epidemic extends inland at least as far as the Continental divide. (We All Fall Down)
- As Atlanta falls to the undead, Officer Dawn Lerner and her captain, Hanson, evacuate the patients of Grady Memorial Hospital to Butler Park. Around midnight, they do a final sweep of the hospital as the helicopters begin dropping the napalm bombs on Atlanta, killing all those that have just been evacuated. (Slabtown)
- Lori, Carl and Shane are on a gridlocked highway with Carol, Ed, and Sophia Peletier outside Atlanta. Shane and Lori watch as military helicopters and fighter jets napalm bomb Atlanta in a desperate attempt to contain the outbreak. (Chupacabra)
- In Virginia, U.S. Military Officer Pope leads his squad inside a church to take shelter from the bombs. Pope was amazed to see none of them had been killed or injured, leading him and his squad to believe they were blessed by God, causing Pope to form the Reapers with his squad members, including Leah Shaw and Brandon Carver. - With all major cities destroyed by napalm, government leaders missing or dead, and all military installations abandoned or overrun, human civilization has effectively collapsed. The planet is overrun by the undead and plagued with lawlessness and anarchy.

Day 17
- When Shane Walsh and Lori Grimes see that the city is overrun and the subsequent destruction of the military installation, they decide to set up an outpost at the quarry just outside the city. Ed Peletier, his wife Carol, and their daughter Sophia also joined them and helped establish the campsite. Other survivors from the city and nearby area eventually see the survivors and join them at the campsite to establish a base of operations there. On his first day at camp, Daryl Dixon talks about discovering a Chupacabra. (Judge, Jury, Executioner)
- After bombing Los Angeles and Atlanta, US Air Force pilot Donald Okafor and his wife, Marine Estelle Okafor, are ordered to destroy Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. However, the Okafors can no longer partake in another massacre. On Estelle's request, Donald defects to the Pennsylvania National Guard and bombs the Lincoln Financial Field where the Marines were massing to move in once the bombing of the city was complete. Okafor's attack kills over four thousand Marines, including Estelle, but it allows the National Guard to save Philadelphia from destruction. The Pennsylvania National Guard secures the city and transforms it into the Civic Republic of Philadelphia, with the National Guard becoming the Civic Republic Military. (Years)
- Early the next morning, a congregation goes to St. Sarah's Church and tries to get inside to hide from walkers. Father Gabriel Stokes keeps the doors locked out of fear. He listens as his congregation are devoured by walkers. (Four Walls and a Roof)
- Conditions at the refugee camp Michonne, Mike, Andre, and Terry are staying at in Atlanta deteriorate. People begin leaving as they lose hope. Terry suggests that they shouldn't stay at the camp either. Mike disagrees, not wanting to take his son out where it's more dangerous. However, Mike wonders if it's worth trying anymore because their survival isn't living. Mike then asks Michonne why they should try to live anymore, to which Michonne cannot answer. (After; A)
- Via an emergency transmission, The U.S. Coast Guard announces that they are unable to provide any rescue or relief efforts to survivors by land, air, or sea. (Monster)
- The Abigail passes a skiff with people on it and leave them to their fate. Alicia listens to the radio and converses with a guy named Jack. The group bury Liza at sea. Later, they see dead bodies floating all around — bodies of the skiff refugees. The skiff floats nearby, riddled with bullets. Nick retrieves the boat's log book. Strand looks at the radar and realizes that whoever shot up the skiff is coming back for them. (Monster)
- The Abigail heads to a cove where they meet George Geary and his family and decide to dock the boat for the night. Madison becomes friendly with Melissa Geary, and Travis learns from George that the military's bombing campaign has left none of the major coastal cities untouched how he lost contact with the other ranger stations. - Luggage, mechanical parts, and other debris from Flight 462 wash up on the Californian coastline. (Ouroboros)
- At Harrison Memorial Center, Doctor Gale Macones and young intern Kate are the two sole surviving staff members of the hospital. The seven men Dr. Macones had stitched up two days prior came back for Kate. The two hide in the storage closet downstairs, but the men find Kate. Dr. Macones gives Kate a vial of a lethal drug dose to kill herself. The men spare Dr. Macones for being too old, but Kate then commits suicide to escape their abuse. Dr. Macones realizes that she has an oath to relieve people of their fears and help release them from this world. She then begins to euthanize people with their consent and stores them in the barricaded cafeteria. However, she still takes care of her other patients left behind, such as Rick Grimes, who is still in his induced coma recovering from a gunshot wound. (The Oath)
- Since the military failed to arrive due to Operation: Cobalt forcing them to abandon all safe zones, Deanna Monroe becomes in charge of the Alexandria Safe Zone. Her husband and sons begin to build a wall around the chain-link fence using supplies from a nearby mall construction-site. Deanna also begins to take in survivors from the surrounding area and placing them in jobs based on their careers before the outbreak. She then employs Aaron and Eric to venture outside the Safe Zone to recruit more survivors. (Remember)

- Daniel discovers that Strand has a machine gun and maps to Mexico hid away on the boat. Strand makes a phone call to someone saying that he'll be "there." (We All Fall Down)
- Melissa asks Madison and Travis to take her two younger children, Harry and Willa with them so they can have a chance at life. However, Willa ingests some of her father's stash of suicide pills and dies. When she turns, she kills Melissa. Before Harry leaves with the group, Seth, his older brother arrives with a rifle to take back Harry. As the Abigail departs, Seth shoots his reanimated mother. (We All Fall Down)
- Michonne returns to the refugee camp after a supply run, but finds the fences of the camp down and can hear the moans of the Walkers. After finding the camp overrun, she discovers that Andre was devoured and that Mike and Terry were unable to stop it because they had gotten high, but both were now bitten. Michonne, angered, let them die and turn. She then cut off their jaws and arms and tied chains around their necks - making them docile and camouflaged Michonne against the other Walkers. Due to the death of her family, Michonne shut down emotionally and only cared about survival. (A)

- Close to sunrise, the Abigail is forced to a halt by an infected blocking the filtration system. Madison asks Travis to wait until sunrise. Travis insists the boat has to keep going. Travis is tasked with fixing the problem. (Ouroboros)
- Nick, Chris, Alicia, and Daniel go ashore to investigate the remains of Flight 462. Chris mercy kills a crippled survivor, and Nick aids Daniel in finding medicine for Ofelia. They find Alex who warns Daniel to flee as a massive horde follows behind. The group fight the horde off and return to the yacht with Alex and a badly-injured Jake Powell in tow. (Ouroboros)
- The group debates whether or not to take Alex and Jake with them, and eventually find a compromise; they will tow them behind the Abigail on their raft. After deliberating over the decision, Strand silently cuts them adrift. (Ouroboros)
- Fires from the military's bombing campaign sweep across the Yosemite and Sierra Nevada mountain ranges.
- Major General Krennick goes out to find Senator Elias Vazquez after receiving a transmission from the Franklin Hotel in Galveston, only to have Sam and Ben follow him to a supply area for P.A.D.R.E. The dockyard is overrun with the dead and Krennick sacrifices himself to save his children. Sam and Ben decide to continue his work by returning to PADRE where Ben pretends to be his father. They begin kidnapping children from their parents, lying to them that they were abandoned in order to spare them the pain of losing them, and training them as soldiers. (Odessa)

- At night, The Abigail reaches the Mexican border. Nick, under Strand's orders, swims to shore to find Luis Flores. Upon reaching the shore, he discovers a recently abandoned refugee camp, and uses the blood of a walker to disguise himself amongst the infected. (Blood in the Streets)
- Jack and his group hijack the Abigail and take everyone hostage. (Blood in the Streets)
- Strand abandons the ship, but his inflatable life raft is shot, leaving him in the ocean without a boat. (Blood in the Streets)

- Celia Flores poisons a church congregation as Thomas Abigail tries to reason with them not to leave. (Sicut Cervus)
- Travis hot-wires the Abigail so that Reed doesn't shoot Chris. Connor, their leader, takes Travis and Alicia to their base, leaving the rest under the supervision of Reed and 2 others. (Blood in the Streets)
- Nick finds Luis and they reach the Abigail in time to rescue everyone, killing the lookouts and Reed becomes the group's prisoner. (Blood in the Streets)
- Strand, on the verge of drowning, is rescued by Madison. (Blood in the Streets)
- At the pirate's base, Alicia is given a hot meal by Connor, and later, Jack teaches Alicia how to identify vessels appropriate for boarding, with the aim of choosing a large and fast target. (Captive)
- Travis is confronted by an angry Alex. She reveals that she was forced to euthanize Jake, and was picked up by Connor's Pirates shortly thereafter. She asked them to bring her Travis, and accuses him of forcing her into her decision. Travis laments what the world has become, and when Alex leaves, they are on better terms. (Captive)
- Madison makes contact with Connor via radio and they agree to a prisoner swap. However, Chris shoots Reed out of anger but the head undamaged so he is still used to trade regardless. (Captive)
- The trade goes off and Connor is bitten while Travis and Alicia escape with the group. (Captive)
- They make it to Mexico where Strand's and Luis bribe between two officers goes wrong which results in the officers' deaths and Luis who asks them not to stab his head despite Daniel's judgement. (Sicut Cervus)
- Once on land, they find themselves at the church where Thomas Abigail met with the parishioners. Chris' mental problems are clear to Madison after he nearly let an Infected kill her. (Sicut Cervus)
- The group arrives at the Abigail family estate and are welcomed by Celia. They have their weapons confiscated, and Strand discovers that Thomas was bitten and suffering from a severe fever.
- Nick meets Celia and strikes up a friendship with her which Madison doesn't agree with. (Sicut Cervus)
- Nearing death, Thomas says that he is unable to sleep, or indeed to let go of his life, because he doesn't want to leave Strand. Strand offers to die with him. (Sicut Cervus)
- Daniel wanders the grounds of the estate and discovers Infected locked in the cellar. Celia defends this believing that they still alive. Nick comes to believe this philosophy. (Sicut Cervus)
- Two weeks after their first supply run, Mandy's family runs out of food and scavenges the city at night. A walker grabs Alyssa by the hair, leading to her death. (Behind Us)

- In the early hours of the morning, Thomas expires as Strand lays next to him. Strand decides not to commit suicide and shoots Thomas in the head. (Sicut Cervus)
- Chris gets up and silently leaves his bedroom without alerting Travis, entering the room where Alicia and Madison are sleeping. An alarmed Alicia and Madison yell at Chris to get out. Travis goes after him. (Sicut Cervus)
- Alyssa is buried at her family's home. (Sorrowful)
- Celia is furious that Strand killed Thomas without letting him turn, and demands Strand and his people to leave by sundown. Later, Nick retrieve Celia's son Luis and she allows his family to stay though Madison has no desire to stay. (Shiva)
- Clearly troubled and losing his grip on reality, Daniel begins furiously sharpening his barber blade, which he had concealed. He is locked inside the house after attacking one of Celia's men. (Shiva)
- Travis tracks Chris to a small house where a man is living. Chris holds them both hostage until Travis disarms him. Nick finds them and Travis tell him Chris can't be around people for now and tell Nick to say he never found them. (Shiva)
- Madison confronts Celia and tries to persuade her to let Strand stay. Through the course of the conversation, Madison sees that Celia is delusional. Madison pretends that she wants to "understand" the dead. Celia takes her to the cellar where the undead are being kept. When she unlocks the gate and walks in, Madison quietly locks her in and leaves. (Shiva)
- Daniel hears the voice of his deceased wife Griselda and she later appears to him. He escapes his imprisonment and pours gasoline in the cellar before setting it on fire. (Shiva)
- The entire house erupts in flames and everyone flees. Strand picks up Madison, Alicia, and a distraught Ofelia. When he sees what has happened, Nick refuses to join them as they drive away. (Shiva)
- Daniel awakens from his trance and barely escapes the Abigail house with his life. Realizing the consequences of his actions, he despairs, believing he may have killed Ofelia. (100)

Day 23
- The next morning, Nick awakens in a house near the Abigail property. Sofia gives Nick food and water and points to a highway that would take him to Tijuana. (Grotesque)
- After travelling for many miles, he finds shelter at what looks like an abandoned house, but he is chased out in the middle of the night by a woman with a bat and forced to leave his supplies behind. (Grotesque)
- Daniel heads along the road same road as Nick, towards Tijuana. His injuries are severe, with major burns to his leg, hand and neck. Upon arriving in Tijuana, he searches in vain for water, and escapes from a Walker during his fight for survival. Later, after falling asleep, he is rescued by Efraín and receives medical treatment from Lola Guerrero. (100)
- A week after Operation Cobalt, Sierra encounters an injured woman near the Southern California border. Sierra agrees to take Gabi to her boyfriend at the border in exchange for sanctuary via an underground tunnel in order to safely cross into Mexico. Upon meeting Colton, he attacks both Sierra and Gabi until being stabbed by the former. The women cross through the tunnel and venture into Mexico together. (Passage)

Day 24
- After 47 days of starvation, Crighton Dallas Wilton perishes in his cell. Placed in there by Dr. Eastman for killing his family because he denied Wilton parole, Dr. Eastman decides to travel to Atlanta to turn himself in. Crighton’s death does not give Eastman peace, and instead feels remorseful. Driving into the city, he discovers that the world had ended without him knowing about it. He travels to his home and cuts a portion of drywall that contains a drawing done by his slain daughter. Eastman loses his car and walks the 30 miles back to his cabin, through the undead, on foot. - Madison continues her search for Nick and Travis. Alongside Strand, Ofelia, and Alicia, she discovers upon returning to the coast that the military has stolen the Abigail, thereby leaving them stranded in Mexico. At Alicia's suggestion, the group takes shelter in a coastal hotel, which has been barricaded from the inside. (Los Muertos)
- After making sure that the ground floor is clear, Alicia and Ofelia decide to explore the upper levels despite Madison's reservations. There, they discover that someone has locked the infected into the individual rooms, thus keeping the halls clear. Ofelia reveals that she thinks that they won't survive, but Alicia insists that they can and will, because they have to. (Los Muertos)
- Madison and Strand open up to each other over some drinks. Madison reveals that her husband committed suicide by driving into oncoming traffic, but that she kept the truth from her children. She fears that the same darkness lurks within Nick, and laments her decisions to run from her past and have kids. In spite of Strand's attempts to reassure her, she breaks down and begins breaking glasses. The two of them continue to drink and get increasingly drunk. Strand begins to bang on the piano, creating a lot of noise and attracting the attention of a group of infected trapped nearby. (Los Muertos)
- Alicia finishes showering and calls for Ofelia, but cannot find her. She hears the piano, and witnesses infected falling from balconies onto the floor, attracted by the sound. She yells, trying to get Madison's attention, and finds a stairway filled with infected. Meanwhile, Strand continues to bang the keys of the piano, until he notices the infected approaching from all sides. The two of them struggle to fight them off in their drunken state, and end up behind the bar, surrounded. (Los Muertos)
- Travis and Chris find a car and use it. Before they leave Chris searches a diner for supplies and is attacked by walkers. A group led by Brandon Luke unintentionally rescue him and Chris makes off with their can of beans. (Do Not Disturb)
- That night, Brandon find the duo and the two groups make an uneasy truce. Chris takes an immediate like to them but Travis knows they're dangerous and not to be trusted.
- Alicia is rescued by Elena and helps her look for her nephew in exchange for the manager to help Alicia find her mother and Strand. They meet the survivors of the banquet hall who trade Hector for the keys to the hotel. The girls open the door full of walkers and chase the other group away. (Do Not Disturb)
- Madison and Strand escape the bar and coat themselves in walker blood to escape another horde. Eventually they take refuge in the spa area until they hear Alicia, Elena, and Hector yelling for help and rescue them. (Pablo & Jessica)
- After failing Oscar's group to help them remove the walkers, they do it themselves and are followed by other residents. They succeed in luring the walkers on a pier and into the ocean. (Pablo & Jessica)
- Nick escapes a group of bandits and tries to survive in the wilderness. He resorts to eating raw cactus and drinking his own urine when that fails. As the temperature plummets overnight, he finds shelter next to a wrecked vehicle and dreams of his time in rehab when he was told that his father had died. (Grotesque)
- Travis and the guys stop at Elías Suarez's barn and attempt to steal chickens. The farmer threatens them with a rifle. Travis tries to diffuse the situation but James breaks a chicken's leg and is shot. Chris immediately shoots the farmer dead much to the shock of Travis. Chris reasons that it's how the world is now. - Strand goes to Oscar's room and learns that the man's wife is a walker and offers to put her down since Oscar cannot bring himself to do so. (Pablo & Jessica)
- Eastman returns to his cabin and pet goat, Tabitha. He survives at the cabin by gardening, making cheese with Tabitha’s milk, scavenging, and defending himself with Aikido while swearing to never kill another human being ever again. - When he wakes up, Nick is attacked by two dogs which results in an injured leg. The Infected kill the dogs and Nick uses a belt as a tourniquet. Later, the bandits from the highway come back and Gael, one of the outlaws, spots Nick among the dead and becomes petrified which ends in his and another's demise. (Grotesque)
- Luciana and two scouts spot Nick. While she decides to leave him, Francisco wants her to help him since he walked with "them." (Grotesque)

- Luciana finds Nick in a store and brings him to Alejandro for treatment of his bite wound. Nick then walks around their community, which is bustling with activity. (Grotesque)
- In Baltimore, Maryland, Frank, Dee, and their daughter Lydia stay at a shelter to wait for help from the army, alongside many others. An emergency broadcast instructs survivors to stay indoors and await instructions. (Omega)

- Nick witnesses someone being fed to walkers and later goes with Luciana to retrieve supplies from Marco Rodriguez and his gang. Nick nearly causes trouble by stealing a candy bar but promises to trade the drugs for more supplies. (Los Muertos)

- Nick redeems himself from his first trade by finding a new way of buying them more time, mixing the Oxy's powder with milk powder, so they can keep up with the trades. After this, Alejandro offers him a place to stay. (Pablo & Jessica)
- That night Luciana visits Nick at his new home, while Nick is reading a Spanish-English dictionary. She falls asleep for a while and after waking Nick and Luciana make love. (Pablo & Jessica)

- At the CDC, The French contact Dr. Edwin Jenner and claim that they have come close to finding a cure before Jenner permanently loses outside communication. Jenner starts trying to shut down scrubbers in order to conserve electricity. (Wildfire)
- People trickle into the retirement home to check on their relatives and decide to stay, adding to the manpower of the Vatos group at the retirement home. Guillermo becomes the de facto leader of the group. (Vatos)

- A week has gone by since arriving at the farm and the group (excluding Travis) has eaten all the chickens on the farm. Brandon gets everyone ready to leave the farm, but James is still too weak to travel. The boys decide to kill James and leave in the morning. - Francisco leaves La Colonia with his wife and daughter but is captured by the gang. Alejandro loses faith on his followers and orders no one to try to leave. Nick, unbeknownst that Alejandro and Luciana plan on still making the trade, sees that the people desperately need supplies. (Pillar of Salt)
- Ofelia stops at restaurant and reminisces her past before siphoning gas out of another car for her truck. At a crossroad, she decides to return to the U.S. (Pillar of Salt)
- Strand is stabbed by Ilene Stowe and is in need of medical supplies that the hotel does not have.
- Madison and Elena to Los Hermanos' supermarket hide out to get the supplies and Madison learns Nick is alive and nearby. Later that night, she turns on the hotel lights to signal Nick but Alicia helps her to realize it was a mistake and she turns them off again.
- Nick steps away looks at the area surrounding La Colonia and sees two men looking at Colonia through binoculars, and realizes the Hermanos gang has found Colonia. (Pillar of Salt)
- Travis, who's been wandering around for two days, sees the neon lights of the Rosarito Beach Hotel and heads towards it. (Pillar of Salt)

- As a result of Madison's actions, a swarm of refugees are at the gate of the hotel where Madison and the others attempt to send them off. Madison spots Travis in the crowd and lets him in. He relays his story of what happened to him and Chris after the fall of Celia's compound. (Date of Death)
- That night, Brandon and Derek arrive at the hotel with other refugees.
- Nick and Reynaldo take the drugs from Alejandro's cabinet to trade with the Hermanos. (Wrath)

- Ofelia's truck breaks down and she continues on foot to the U.S. border. She slips through a hole in a chain-link fence. Later, she is shot at by Jeremiah Otto. After cornering her, he sarcastically welcomes her to America before telling her to go back the way she came. (Wrath, Children of Wrath)
- Ofelia is near death when Qaletqa Walker finds her, take her back to his home and heals her. (Children of Wrath)
- Madison meets Brandon and Derek. When she realizes they're the boys from Travis' story, she attempts to send them off only to be discovered by Travis. They tell Travis what happened to Chris and confess that they killed him instead of helping him. Travis snaps and beats the boys to death while injuring Oscar in the process. (Wrath)
- Nick and Reynaldo arrive at El Pelícano and offer the drugs to Marco, but Marco no longer wants the drugs and warns them that the Hermanos will invade the Colonia. He shows them Francisco and his family's bodies to prove what will happen to the residents if they are still there when they arrive. (Wrath)
- When Nick returns, a walker attacks Alejandro and two others but Nick kills it. He sees Alejandro afraid of his bite wound. He realizes that he is not immune and is infected. Luciana is devastated when she learns the truth. Nick attempts to convince her to leave but she refuses to leave the people to their fate. (Wrath)
- Travis is put in isolation and Madison promises that Travis will leave and so will her and Alicia. Elena gives her till sunrise. (North)

- Another captive, Steven, forms a plan with the trio to escape the compound. After killing one of the men and injuring another, the three escape the building and enter the courtyard. - Madison attacks Troy and holds him hostage until his brother, Jake, diffuses the situation. (Eye of the Beholder)

- Recovering well from his injuries, Daniel accompanies Efraín on his daily hunt for walkers. Back in the hideout, he confesses his crimes to Efraín and reveals his guilt over hiding his true nature from Ofelia, and endangering her at the Abigail home. At night, he leaves Efraín's home in the middle of a storm, and is confronted by a large walker. Without any weapons, he kneels and prays. Before the walker can attack him, it is struck by lightning and killed, while Daniel is knocked unconscious and washed away in the fast flowing river. (100)

- Nick and Madison arrive at the ranch and are forced to wait outside while Troy and Jake inform the residents of the recent events. They met Jeremiah Otto and begin to explore their new surroundings. Nick is anxious to leave as soon as possible, but Madison is more receptive to the idea of staying, and she tells him she is prepared to defend them if necessary. (The New Frontier)
- That night, as Alicia, Charlene and Jake continue on foot, Charlene is killed by Walkers, and Alicia and Jake bond over their shared losses. (The New Frontier)
- At the hotel, Strand delivers a baby and is later told by Elena to leave in order to save face. Hector has him convince Ilene to eat before departing. (The New Frontier)
- A despairing Ilene gives car keys to Strand before jumping out of her apartment balcony to her death. (The New Frontier)
- Daniel is rescued by janitors and reunites with Lola who takes him to the Gonzales Dam to work undercover as a janitor. There, he gets into a violent altercation with one of Dante's men. Dante recognizes his Salvadorian background, and correctly deduces that he is a proficient killer, a former member of the Sombra Negra death squads, and received training from the CIA. - Dante tortures Efraín for information. He summons Daniel, and gleefully tells him to proceed with further torture. Daniel quietly offers to give Efraín a quick death, but Lola intervenes, revealing herself to be responsible for the water smuggling. Subsequently, Dante attempts to have her executed alongside her conspirators, but Daniel refuses at the last second. He turns the tables and swiftly kills Dante and his guards. He kneels before Lola and gives her his gun, asking her forgiveness but ready to accept her revenge. She offers him her hand. (100)

Paul finds Karina and the two escape as the entire camp is overrun and Karina's friend reanimates. (The Oath)

Day 58
- The morning after their camp was overrun, Paul and Karina discover a car with some supplies, a map of medical centers in the area, and the keys. Paul was unable to find first-aid supplies and reveals his cut, but shows Karina the map with the possibility of helping his injury. Karina then drives around the area trying to find a medical center that hasn't been destroyed, looted, or overrun. As the day continues, and Paul begins to lose consciousness, Karina finds the Harrison Memorial Center barely untouched. When attacked by a walker, Karina is rescued by a Doctor Gale Macones. (The Oath)
- Dr. Macones attends to Paul and reveals that while he didn't rupture any major organs or arteries, he lost a lot of blood. With the limited resources, Dr. Macones is unsure of Paul's survival and straps him to the bed as a precaution in case he dies and reanimates. After discussing their lives after the outbreak, Dr. Macones believes that Paul is dying and takes him down the hall and places him the cafeteria where she barricades the dead inside. Paul wakes up shortly after, however, and escapes. (The Oath)
- Karina, believing she had lost Paul, reflects on her life in this world and doesn't want to fight anymore. Dr. Macones offers to euthanize her to end her suffering. Paul arrives, shortly after Dr. Macones has injected Karina with the lethal dose and dies. Dr. Macones defends her actions, as she believes she is freeing people from the fear and horror of this new world. Paul presumably kills Dr. Macones. After Karina reanimates, Paul keeps her as a walker by pulling her teeth out, placing her in a jacket and putting her on a chain. He then locks up the doors to the cafeteria in the hospital and sprays 'DON'T OPEN, DEAD INSIDE' on the door with black paint. (The Oath)
- Strand is taken to the wall where he's forced to fight Infected in order to pay off a debt. (The Diviner)
- During an altercation, Alicia reveals the water crisis to both groups which escalates the situation. (The Diviner)

- Rick, Morgan, and Duane go to the King County Police Department. They take showers and later get guns and ammo. Rick gives Morgan a radio so that they can talk to each other and heads for Atlanta. Morgan returns home to try and put down his reanimated wife, but is unable to. Meanwhile, Rick returns to King County Park to put down Hannah. (Days Gone Bye)
- Rick stops at a gas station north of Interstate 85 and shoots a little girl that has turned into a walker. After running out of gas, he takes a horse and rides into Atlanta. The Atlanta campsite picks up Rick's radio transmission on Highway 85. (Days Gone Bye)
- In Atlanta, Glenn rescues Rick from a herd where he meets Andrea , T-Dog, Jacqui , Morales, and Merle. Merle makes racist comments, leading to him getting handcuffed to the roof and left behind while the others escape. (Days Gone Bye, Guts)
- Lola confronts Daniel on his tactics towards the people. (La Serpiente)
- Strand blows up the dam's water truck which convinces Lola to trade water for guns and ammunition from the ranch. (La Serpiente)

- Jim and Dale scavenge the red car for parts and gas, while Carol cleans Rick's clothes. A walker nears the camp and devours a deer. Daryl arrives back at the quarry camp in seek of Merle.
- Merle retrieves a hacksaw to escape from the handcuffs and cuts of his hand to escape.
- Rick, Glenn, T-Dog, and Daryl travel to Atlanta to retrieve guns and save Merle. Only to find Merle gone. They later encounter the Vatos Gang and, seeing that they're not a threat, they give them some of their guns and ammo. (Tell It to the Frogs, Vatos)
- Jake and Nick find Troy and attempt to stop him but it results in Jake being bitten, amputated, and bleeding to death. Nick encourages a broken Troy to put his brother down. (Brother's Keeper)
- The mass hoard of dead reach the ranch. Despite attempt to block the perimeter, the Dead break through which results in deaths and the survivors to the pantry. (Brother's Keeper)

- Daniel and Madison reconcile. She, Walker, Crazy Dog, and Strand leave for the dam while Nick and Troy stay behind. (El Matadero)

- The group awakens and Jenner explains what the virus that causes Walkers does. He also tells them the building will self-destruct. Rick persuades Jenner to unlock the doors but whispers in his ear that everyone is infected with the virus. Jacqui opts to remain behind and Andrea is coaxed into leaving when Dale decides to stay with her. The CDC explodes as they drive away. (TS-19)
- Nick and Troy learn about the Proctors attack on the dam and begin to head there. (Things Bad Begun)
- Alicia and Diana are nearly robbed and come across The Proctors who use Alicia as a nurse and joins them on their trip to the dam. (Things Bad Begun)

- Sophia emerges from the stream in the woods with her doll. Sophia starts to make her way back to the highway but goes off track. A walker attacks her biting her left shoulder. She drops her doll in the water. She escapes the walker but dies from a mass loss of blood. She turns into a walker near Hershel’s farm. (Pretty Much Dead Already, Nebraska)

Day 67
- Dale and T-Dog wait at the RV while the rest of the group goes into the woods to search for Sophia. Meanwhile the group finds a church and kills the walkers inside. (What Lies Ahead)
- Otis discovers reanimated Sophia and brings her back to the barn. He then sets out to hunt deer. While searching for Sophia, Carl sees a deer in a clearing and approaches it in awe. Suddenly, in an attempt to hunt the deer, Otis shoots it, and the bullet passes through the deer, hitting Carl in the stomach. The three men take Carl to Hershel to help heal him. (What Lies Ahead, Bloodletting, Nebraska) Maggie finds Lori to take her to Rick and tells the others how to reach the farmhouse. (Bloodletting)
- Shane and Otis leave for a FEMA base to gather the supplies. As night falls, they reach the camp and retrieve the supplies needed to save Carl. As they flee, Shane sacrifices Otis to save himself. (Bloodletting, Save the Last One) Shane returns with the medical supplies, and Carl is finally able to be operated on. Shane shaves his head to cover up where Otis tore out his hair. - The next morning, the survivors arrive at the farm, and once settled in, they have a funeral for Otis. Shane gives a speech about Otis' last moments, falsely telling the others that Otis chose to sacrifice himself for the sake of Carl. - That evening, the group have dinner at Hershel's home. Maggie passes a note to Glenn saying "Tonight where?". After dinner Maggie checks the note to see Glenn has gone to the barn. - In the morning, the group is doing chores around the farm while Patricia snaps the legs of a few of the chickens then secretly feeds the crippled chickens to the walkers in the barn from the safety of the hayloft. (Secrets)

- Dale speaks with Hershel at the stables and tells him that he is well aware of the walkers in the barn. Hershel tells Dale that his wife and stepson are in the barn, and it is clear that Hershel believes them to be merely sick people, rather than animated corpses. (Secrets)
- While mending a fence, Hershel tells Lori that her group needs to move on to somewhere else other than the farm. Lori confronts Rick about leaving, and Rick ensures her that they will get by. (Secrets)
- Dale talks with Lori about her pregnancy, and afterwards, Lori asks Glenn for his help in obtaining an abortion pills at the pharmacy. Glenn and Maggie travel to the pharmacy, and Maggie is angry with Glenn for telling Dale about the walkers in the barn. (Secrets)
- Shane returns from shooting lessons with Andrea, Dale confronts him and tells Shane that he "knows what kind of man Shane is," referring to the incident when he caught Shane aiming his gun at Rick's head. (Secrets)
- Lori swallows the pills and then deliberately throws them up. Rick finds the pills and confronts Lori. Lori confesses she is pregnant and admits she slept with Shane thinking that he was dead. (Secrets)

- Out of distrust for Shane, Dale sneaks off with the guns to hide them in the woods, but Shane finds him and Dale reluctantly returns the guns. (Pretty Much Dead Already)
- Rick attempts to negotiate with Hershel over his group staying at the farm. He accompanies Hershel in retrieving Walkers to put in the barn. (Pretty Much Dead Already)
- Returning to the farm, Shane rallies the group to do something about the barn and shoots the Walkers in front of Hershel to show they are not human and opens the door where the group shoots them down. A reanimated Sophia emerges and Rick is the only one able to put her down. (Pretty Much Dead Already)
- After Rick shoots walker-Sophia he, Shane, and Glenn follow Hershel and his kin to the house and ask questions about the barn. (Nebraska)
- Hershel drives to a local bar to drink. Rick and Glenn follow him. They also encounter Dave and Tony. They attempt to gain access to the farm only to be killed by Rick. Their group soon appear and a shoot-out begins until Walkers, drawn to the noise, appear and attack the rival group. An injured member, Randall, is left behind and Rick decides to save him. - That night, Lori tries to go after Rick only for her car to crash and she nearly is killed by a Walker. She is later rescued by Shane who convinces her to return to the farm. (Nebraska, Triggerfinger)

- Rick and Shane go to drop Randall off at a nearby public works station. Rick and Shane end up fighting because it is revealed that Randall knows the farm's location and because Shane challenges Rick's competency as group leader, but a walker horde interrupts them. All three men escape and agree to take a day to decide whether to execute Randall. (18 Miles Out)
- Beth tries to kill herself but decides to live. (18 Miles Out)

- Daryl brutally interrogates Randall, who states that his group is made up of thirty men. Rick prepares to kill Randall. Because Dale has reservations about this, the group votes to decide Randall's fate. As Rick begins the execution, Carl encourages him and Rick is disturbed by this. Rick changes his mind about the execution. (Judge, Jury, Executioner)
- Carl steals Daryl's gun and spots a Walker in the bog. While teasing it, the Walker breaks loose and scares Carl back to camp. (Judge, Jury, Executioner)
- Later that night the same walker attacks Dale, critically wounding him. Daryl shoots Dale in the head as a mercy kill. (Judge, Jury, Executioner)

- The group holds a funeral for Dale. (Better Angels)
- Under a guise of leaving the group with him, Shane leads Randall into the woods and kills him. Shane runs face-first into a tree to create the appearance of a confrontation and returns to the group, claiming Randall attacked him and stole his gun. (Better Angels)
- Rick, Shane, Glenn and Daryl split up to look for Randall in the woods. Glenn and Daryl encounter, and kill, a walker who turns out to be Randall. Daryl finds it strange that Randall changed, due to the lack of bite marks or scratches on his body. (Better Angels)
- Shane pulls a gun on Rick after being confronted about the real motive. During the stand off, Rick stabs Shane and kills him. He reanimates moments later, confirming to Rick that they are all already infected. Carl shoots Shane in the head, thus saving Rick. (Better Angels)
- A herd of walkers migrating through the woods hears Carl's gunshot and moves towards the sound. As Rick and the others fight for the farm, Jimmy and Patricia are killed and Andrea is left behind as they escape. (Beside the Dying Fire)

- The group reconvenes at the free-way where they originally waited for Sophia. They head east until Rick's SUV runs out of gas. They decide to set up a camp and look for more gas in the morning. - The rural town of Woodbury, Georgia is fortified by Philip Blake. Due to his leadership, the people of Woodbury come to call Philip "Governor". The Governor secures Woodbury by initiating a strict curfew, noise and light kept at a bare minimum, and placing armed guards on the walls. No one inside the walls dies for the rest of the winter after these rules are implemented. At some point, The Governor's daughter, Penny, is killed. This hardens him into a ruthless leader. In order to gain supplies and eliminate potential threats, The Governor has his men raid camps and settlements after they have captured, interrogated, and tortured members found in the wasteland. Meanwhile, The Governor employs Milton Mamet to research the undead in order to rehabilitate his reanimated daughter. During the winter, The Governor discovers Merle Dixon on the verge of death and rescues him. (Walk With Me, Welcome to the Tombs)
- Madison, Alicia, Nick and Strand hold out in a cave until all of them are healed from the events at the Gonzales Dam, but Nick leaves early to find Luciana. (Just in Case)
- Daniel separates himself from the group and eventually meets Althea and makes residence in Texas at a warehouse filled with vehicles. (The Hurt That Will Happen)
- Morgan continues to scavenge for food in King County with Duane. While searching in a house, Morgan tells Duane to stay upstairs while he checks the cellar. Morgan comes back up to see Jenny standing in front of Duane, who aims his gun at her but isn't able to shoot. Morgan calls out to him, but Jenny pounces on Duane as he turns to him, devouring his face. Morgan shoots Jenny and brings Duane back to the Drake Family House. He chains Duane up in the attic as he reanimates. Morgan loses his mind and decides to "clear" all things, living and dead. He begins to fortify the town, tagging his delirious thoughts on every surface, and killing anyone who comes into his town. (Clear, King County)
- Rick's group finds shelter in storage lockers at some point during the winter, as revealed by Carl. (Seed)
- Carol becomes a proficient shooter. Hershel also begins to train her as his assistant. (Seed, Sick)
- The group learns of Lori's unfaithfulness to Rick. (Seed)
- Noah is kidnapped and brought to Grady Memorial Hospital. (Slabtown)
- Carl and Beth become closer. (Seed)
- Andrea and Michonne spend the winter surviving together. (Seed)
- Tyreese Williams's group is attacked and Tyreese, his sister Sasha, Allen, Donna, and Ben flee. (The Suicide King)
- Overtime, Mandy trains with her machete. The family leaves their home and settle in a new house. While tying a walker to the front porch to serve as an alarm system, David is bitten and put down by Mandy. (Sorrowful)
- One day, three men rob Mandy's house as she hides in a closet upstairs. Her machete is stolen by Derek. (Sorrowful)
