The Escapists: The Walking Dead is a 8-bit video game developed by Team 17. It is based on Robert Kirkman's The Walking Dead comic series and The Escapists, which was developed by Mouldy Toof Studios and published by Team 17 LTD. It was announced on July 6, 2015 and was released on September 30th, 2015, and on February 15th, 2016 for PlayStation 4.[1]
Game Synopsis[]
Manage your escape from an onslaught of walkers in this cross-over between the time management escape game The Escapists and the blockbuster zombie franchise The Walking Dead. Using the retro graphical style of The Escapists, the game gives you control of Rick Grimes as he tries to secure the safety of a number of familiar characters by seeking out a safe escape route from each area, fending off the zombie hordes and keeping as many of them alive as possible as they escape. The game will faithfully keep to the timeline of the comics, so as you progress you'll move through a series of familiar locations.[2]

- After "Alexandria" is completed, a "To Be Continued" sign is shown at the end of the game. Despite that, the game has not received any story updates that would have continued the game.
- The only update that has been implemented was one that allowed for a Survival Game Mode.
