The Free Men is a group that appears in The Walking Dead: No Man's Land.
Post-Apocalypse[]
The Free Men came to the attention of the Basecamp survivors after their escape from Terminus. Although they theorize that the group may be comprised of survivors from Terminus, it has never been conclusively proven. At some point, they came across The Town while they were trading with the Eden Farm survivors and killed nearly everyone, and either knowingly or unknowingly, only leaving behind one survivor.
At some point, members of this group came across Negan Smith and for an unknown reason, made him want to kill every single person who held him captive which he did.
At another point in time, this group came across The Wardens and started killing members of the group; however the sniper was eventually killed by either Maggie or Daryl.
The Free Men somehow managed to reach France and started to antagonize any survivors they came across.

- The character model for the Raider is used to represent members of this group.
- This group replaces The Reapers, Valak's Vipers, the École Maternelle Simone Veil survivors, and Power of the Living in all of the Show tie in missions that would normally involve them.
- Furthermore, they exhibit similar characteristic to The Wolves and The Vultures as, just like those group, they gather groups of walkers in large containers that they use against other groups of survivors.
- Unlike the Ecole Maternelle Simone Veil survivors who were allies, this iteration of them are antagonists.
