The Pikes is a major event that occurred during the Whisperer Conflict in the ninth season of AMC's The Walking Dead.

History[]

After Alpha snuck into King Ezekiel's fair and kidnapped eight residents; Frankie, Tammy Rose, Rodney, Adeline, Enid, Tara, Henry, and Siddiq, she takes them to a secluded barn. Before they can be decapitated, Ozzy, Alek, and D.J. find them and attempt to save them. However, things went wrong and everyone is recaptured by Alpha, who proceeded to decapitate all of her prisoners and stick their heads on wooden pikes at her northern border, with the exception being Siddiq, who Alpha forces to watch the beheadings, and keeps him alive so that he can tell the communities about what happened, intending for his story to bring fear to the people, but Siddiq instead told a story about bravery and how everyone fought together to try and survive, despite not everyone knowing each other.
