The Scragglers[1] are a group of survivors introduced in Season 1 of AMC's The Walking Dead: Dead City. Led by Dre, the gang is one of the three major gangs operating in Uptown of Manhattan. They are distinctive of their nomadic appearance and wearing hoods.

Season 1[]
"Stories We Tell Ourselves"[]
Dre and the Scragglers are at the opera house where the Dama lives. While her gang watches the Burazi goof off and drink in the auditorium as a Buraz plays on the piano, Dre meets with the Dama in her dressing room. When the Croat arrives at the opera house to meet with the Dama, he runs into the gang leader leaving the Dama's room. Dre, wearing a blood-spattered sweatshirt, gives the Croat a dirty look and rudely tells him to move out of her way. He steps aside to let her pass only for her to forcefully bump into him before walking away. The Croat is annoyed that they're talking to her group now, but the Dama tells him that it's none of his business.

The Scragglers will appear in this episode.
"Another Shitty Lesson"[]
It's revealed by the Croat and the Dama that the Scragglers had joined forces with the Burazi after Negan's performance. However, the other two gangs have yet to sign on with them.
