Carl also had a father who was just as responsible for Carl. Also, Carl needs to take responsibility for not doing as he was told. It's not like he was a 2 year-old. Why is it so hard for him to understand, "Stay in the house".
I hate beth because she has bad priorities. It's wasn't to find the others, it wasn't to find shelter or to do something great, she wants to get drunk and show that she is an adult now (which she's not). Those things should not even be in your mind after what just happened. She doesn't fit in the story anymore (never did) so just kill her off before we get another wasted episode like the disaster known as "Still"

I don't like Shane.
I think i would’ve liked Shane better if Lori was killed during the start of the apocalypse. Lori was one of the reasons Shane went mad in the first place. First of all, she had no business doing the dirty her “dead” husband’s best friend two-three months after the apocalypse. She has a kid who she needs to look after and yet after finding out she gets pregnant, she’s more focused on hiding her mistake than keeping an eye on her son who she cares SO much about. Sure, she showed that she cared when he was laying on his close to death bed, and afterwards, but then when Carl was better, she just started to be more focused on aborting a baby that she hid from Rick. In my opinion, she was one of the most worthless characters in the show and I’m glad she died. Of course, had she died at the beginning of the apocalypse, Shane probably would’ve been more rational and friendly to Rick, not sending death glares and aiming a gun behind his back everytime they were alone. It was sad to see Rick have to kill his best friend and shouting at him that he made him do this, calling him brother but he replaces Shane with Daryl. Which begins the perfect ship—Rickyl or Darick.
All and all, a lot of characters made mistakes on this.
1) Lori: laying with her husband’s best friend without thinking of the consequences, driving while looking at a map (it may be the apocalypse but keep in mind anything could run or walk in front of your car, not just walkers), and not looking after Carl.
2) Shane: Laying with best friend’s wife, trying to kill best friend, killing Otis (while it proved a wonderful distraction, still lost Daryl’s trust, not that he trusted Shane from the start), trying to kill Rick again.
3) Andrea: Not leaving with Michonne, Shooting Daryl, Doing the dirty with the Governor after returning from the Prison (seriously woman, you could’ve prevented your own death!) and not killing him like ALL of the group suggested and demanded, thinking that a truce could be made
4) Daryl: Licking hands before touching others (dude seriously, it may be the apocalypse, but it don’t mean any diseases or everyday things that can kill you don’t exist anymore.
5) Merle: Throwing around racist insults and being a perverted asshole who everyone would love to shoot (I mean Dale did say that everyone’s wanted to shoot Daryl at some point [completely not true though, at least he didn’t insult T-Dog or Glenn], so how many of them have wanted to shoot Merle? All of them, definitely everyone of them), not waiting for Daryl to get him (seriously should’ve had more faith in his baby brother, setting Walkers on camp (dude seriously, your brother could’ve been there and you would’ve let him die too? Unless you checked the camp first to see if your brother was there and then when you could’nt find him, you set the walkers lose), bothering said brother and hurting him (seriously man. You love your brother as much as he loves you so why would you throw him to the ground? To teach him a lesson? Only thing that stopped him were the scars on Daryl’s back).
6) Carl: Playing with that walker at the mudbed (seriously kid throwing rocks at it? You see a walker, you run in the other direction, not play tag with it. Jeez you realized your mistake but at the cost of one of the mediators/reasonables of the group), what else was there?
7) Negan: killing Glenn and Abraham. Seriously, I LOVED GLENN, he was one of the best characters and was the funny pizza guy. Oh Maggie was widowed...and taking Daryl. Never touch Daryl. He’s Rick’s brother
8) Phillip (the Governor): going after Rick’s group, raping Maggie, killing Herschel
Andrea, Shane, and Merle would’ve been more likable if things were different or they made better decisions.
As the world went loose, Andrea, after losing Amy, lost most sense. She went through a phase where she wanted to die (which is absolutely understandable. A tiny milisecond compared to hours of sickness or being torn apart and eaten while still alive? CDC please). Instead of abandoning Michonne, Andrea should’ve really ran with her. It’s not guarenteed that they would’ve went to the prison with Glenn and Maggie’s basket of supplies but she still should’ve gone with her.
Shane’s mind was mostly influenced by Lori. She made him crazy after denying him over and over, bringing her marraige with Rick into their conversations over and over again. All she ever called him was her husband. I think Shane would want an explanation that didn’t involve Lori shoving the word “MARRIED” or “HUSBAND” into the argument. This gives him the idea that if he got rid of Rick, Lori would be his again. After all, after two-three months, she turned to him and let him take her. Who’s to say it would’nt be like that again if Rick was dead, for real this time.
Merle really should’nt have been throwing around racist insults in a group where there is someone from most of the main races; African American, white, redneck (Merle and Daryl themselves), Korean, and Hispanic. At least Daryl wasn’t as racist.
Anyways this is just my opinion.
