Hey guys, just wondering some of your oppinions on The Walking Dead: Rise of the Governor. I thought that it was a great novel. What do you guys think?
Wow, thought more people would have read it. Anyway. It really gave a great picture of how Brian became Philip and what drove him to it. In many ways it is like other characters transitioning to what they believe is the only way to survive, i.e. carol in the TV show. Philip was a lot like Rick in the beginning. His main concern was Penny and he was the defacto leader but whereas Rick has at least stopped the madness from taking full control, Philip couldn't. I will say that Philip would have not taken over Woodbury I believe. And now the killing of the National Guardsmen makes more sense.
I thought it was great, it really shows how the end of the world can transform really nice people like Brian Blake into the Governor.
