• Just...holy fuck.

SPOILERS AHEAD FOR 614 OF TWD

Jesus Christ, this was handled way better than it was in the comics...and let's be honest, who the hell saw this death coming. I mean this just...wow.

    Thoughts?

    • I preferred the abraham,that asshole,i liked denise

    • Well, I was curious to know since that Denise killed Holly in what kind of death would Denise would be rewarded with, and she got delivered a shot to the brain & eye like Abraham did in the comics. The reason I was curious was because I kinda know that she wouldn't survive the entire way so, that was a mind-blower. Also, she wasn't a character that I don't give any positive information about.

    • Im shocked, yet I dont care, I didn't expect her to die this early, but I really don't give a shit

    • Carl didn't see it coming

    • Just because it was unexpected it doesnt make it a good death... other wise TV Axel's death would be incredibly good, which would be blasphemy, but Im not gonna get into a Season 3 argument.

Her comic death was way better, more heroic, represented her as a character better and made her memorable despite being a minor character. She chose what she knew would kill her just to keep on doing her job as a doctor during the war... here she got a sudden death that just ended her story halfwaythrough... they just gave her a death wich was already not very good in the comics either (Kirkman himself said he regrette doing that, Abe in the comics was killed for the sake of having a death really)

    • I was genuinely shocked when she died. I didn't see it coming, especially after 40 minutes of what felt like boring filler episode.

While the episode itself was not that great overall and I can certainly agree that her comic book death better reflects the kind of person she is I'm glad they at least gave her - a lesbian woman - one of the most badass deaths in the entire book that belonged to arguably the most badass heteronormative male in the book.

      Choke on that, conformity stereotypes!

    • I'm not bragging or anything like that, but I kinda saw this coming. Denise was being given a LOT more development than her counterpart, and it seemed that her and Daryl were communicating alot, and next episode Daryl says something like "for her" in the promo. Also, he reminded her of her brother, so. Overall, RIP Tara-Denise relationship.

Yeah, I was just happy that it wasn't Tara the dead in this relationship. Also If we are going to talk about a LOT more develepment than someone's counterpart, let's talk about Carol. I really hope that she is fine tho cause I like her very much.

    • Denise had a lot of extra lines and screentime in this episode, so there's that.

    • R.I.P Denise, she deserved better but at least she didn't suffer

    • Come on people, Denise clearly isn't dead. If you look closely, you can clearly see Nicholas' body on top of her when Dwight shot the arrow.

It's an old joke ever since Glenn's "Death", so you should get used to it.

yeah, I'm going to have to agree, it's very irrelevant

    • Yes, killing a character that was supposed to be the reason Heath healed from his lost leg, and that essentially gave both her and Heath much more depth and character, but instead had a nonsensical lesbian relationship with Tara and nothing else, while having a conversation about fucking soda, is better handled than Abraham's death, a character who was essentially Rick's right hand man, and personally one of my favorites due to his story and persona, who died having a conversation with Eugene about Rosita. Not to mention no one saw Abraham's death coming, whilst AMC did their typical "focus on one specific character throughout the episode to foreshadow their death" for Denise, but the general audience doesn't see through this, obviously.

    • I agree with RazorWolfz. Tara shouldn't have been alive in the first place.

    • Yeah, I don't really care that much for Tara either

    • Am I the only one who likes Tara? XD

Why doesn't anyone like the changes ;_; The show can't be the same as the comics, which is why change is good...yeesh.

    • I kinda like Tara, i agree, not all book adaptations should have be like that, I'm just saying I don't care for her that much, and no you're not the only one, there's other people here who like her too, for me personally, Shes an Honorable Mention

    • Denise was only kept alive as long as has to save Carl. She did her job now good riddance.

I truly hope Tara and Eugene follow her next - can't stand either of them. Especially Eugene.

Why? Because you're all comic fanboys?

    • they're only keeping her around because she was part of the governer's militia

    • No, I'm not a comic fanboy, but I don't see any purpose for Tara to be here.

I am surprised that she is still alive at this point. I did not expect her to live past season 5.

    • I'm thinking Tara will take Holly's death. it won't be Sasha, and I feel it will have more impact than Holly.

    • I really expected it. The commotion they were making, along with the evidence that someone was going get the bolt from the comics, as well as the heavy focus on Denise this episode, made me suspicious throughout the whole episode. When she vomited on her glasses, I was like "Yep, she's gonna die".
