Protagonist and deuteragonist is known. But the tritagonist is unknown. In your opinion, who is the tritagonist of the TV Series?

    In my opinion, Daryl.

    • It has to be Daryl.

    • Morales was not a main character. So it has to be Daryl.

    • No it has to be Beth

    • Don't really think there is one on this show. Carl is the deuteragonist simply by association as the protagonist's son. Therefore Rick's story is by default Carl's story as well. They don't really have anyone else who's THAT closely tied to them, and thus would be given that same kind of plot armor. Daryl has simply been around this long due to fan favoritism, he doesn't really have any strong ties to the protagonist aside from friendship. Strong friendship isn't enough to make you invincible. He doesn't hold some kind of incredibly irreplaceable role in the story that would be completely lost with his death.

If I HAD to pick someone, it would be Michonne. She's his girlfriend now, which alone gives her quite a bit of plot armor, moreso than anyone else on the cast. As the protagonist's girlfriend she essentially can't die, as Rick has a girlfriend through the vast majority of the series as moral support. In addition to that she has an extremely strong relationship with the Deuteragonist as well, much moreso than Daryl does. You can argue that she holds the same value to both Rick and Carl, as she was a Carl's largest source of moral support aside from his father since they've met essentially. Not that she isn't replaceable too, but if Rick does lose his girlfriend, it'll be a LONG time before he gets another. The TV series already extended his single life quite a bit.

    • Well well, here's a little lesson in watching TV shows, reading novels, etc.:

THERE IS NOT ALWAYS A DEUTERGONIST OR A TRITAGONIST.

In both the show and the comic, Carl is the deutergonist, and there is no tritagonist.

Apparently Andrea is the tritagonist of the comic series.

    • Whoever made her a tritagonist likely did so without consulting any admins or comic readers, which I fear is what's about to happen with the cashcow, thanks to this... discussion.

There isn't really a tritagonist in the Comic or TV, it's just too hard to debate. But if there were to be a tritagonist, then it's definitly Andrea.

    • No matter who the Tritagonist is, all 4 characters are going to be around for a while. The reason why is because Daryl and Michonne have become fan favorites and huge impacts on the show. Carol and Morgan both survived their Comic book counterparts so I don't see them going anywhere anytime soon either.

No, it’s gonna be like Fear The Walking Dead where no one is the main protagonist and that everyone will be as important as each other like all protagonists for example Daryl Dixon, Michonne, Carol Peletier, and Maggie Rhee.
