• I can see Magna developing into a good character (however I would be interested to see how her group would react if she died) but I cant help but question what's up with her. I'm just gonna have to call BS that her group didn't meet any people (which she claimed in issue 128). Not only because the odds of that are practically zero, but also because of something she said to Negan at the beginning of issue 130. "I've seen torture... what it does to someone." This implies one of two things. One, that it will be very interesting to see what she did before the outbreak; or two (more likely), she's lying about not encountering any people since the start of the outbreak. Finally, at the end of issue 128 she says "If something seems too good to be true... It usually is." Why would she automatically feel that way if she had not yet seen the horrible things people are doing in a world teeming with the dead?

Overall, I'm very interested to see where her character is taken in future issues. Please share your thoughts on this.

I am also very much looking foreward to Yumiko's character development.

Yes, but I'm speculating things that are not on her page.

Well, what if it was someone from her original group that got tortured? That's a possibility.

But that would mean she did indeed encounter other people even though she told Andrea she did not. Which is what I think probably happened.

    • I can't wait to find out!

    • It is possible one of her group members was tortured before the outbreak so it was true when she said she had met no people; but I highly doubt it.

    • Maybe Magna did the torturing herself?

Maybe there's a Steve from Crossed: Badlands hiding within her? :O

Well, it's possible. Rick could be harboring a monster far worse than the Governor, Hunters, Negan, and Whisperers combined.

No, you misunderstand me. My reply wasn't because I don't agree, I just did not get the reference. The idea that there may be a darker story behind Magna is exactly what I'm implying here. I totally agree that that's a possibility.

Steve is a main character in Crossed: Badlands who really makes the Governor, Negan, and the Whisperers together look ... pretty tame by comparison. If you can and aren't squeamish, read Crossed: Badlands 4 - 9 and you'll get the reference. I'd link you to a site where you can read them for free (you can't download them, so it wouldn't technically be piracy, I don't think), but I'm unsure of how that would be looked upon by our wonderful benevolent dictators.

    • We have to remember that Magna had been living in the apocalypse for four + years prior to entering into the comic. She found her way into the nursing home almost immediately once the apocalypse started and stayed there for several years (she said they had only been on the road for seven months before getting to Alexandria).

She had plenty of time to experience all the things she said she experienced and she easily could have seen people being tortured while she was at the nursing home.

I still maintain she has a dark side and IS the torturer.

    • Either Magna had a dark and troubled past, or... Well, Ghost Leader put it best in a comment above.
