I am right. And you can disagree, but you'd be wrong. Rule of thumb, if you're going to argue something, you better believe it.
Yeah i disagree. He pointed a gun and told AJ he was faster meaning don't try anything.
If your first reaction to a five year old pulling a weapon on you after you already pulled a gun on their surrogate mother is to say what can basically be interpreted as a challenge, yes, that is pretty fucked up.
His smile and attititude doesn't make him bad
Yes. Yes it does. Robbing somebody out of necessity is one thing. He was clearly enjoying himself though. And again, we know he wasn't needy.
when his actions besides fucking up the fish trap are neutral or reasonable.
Nothing about him is reasonable. That was arrogance that led him to talk with AJ and Clem, not diplomacy.
He didnt think shit was funny, he reacted to getting a gun pulled on him by a kid and smiled, thinking he could easily talk the situation down.
Maybe he should have asked them if they thought a gun being pulled on them was funny.
Anyways, if that was his idea of talking the situation down, then he was a moron. A person attempting to deescalate doesn't insult the other person holding a gun, nor does he talk about who's a better marksman. He would have sincerely apologized (attributing theft to "butterfingers" is not an apology) and negotiated in a way that accomodated the needs of Clem's group.
But as he's alive close to a decade after the apocalypse began, I'd wager he's not a moron, just a despicable person.
and he found the damn stash minutes after they did, wanting to take some and be on his way is justified.
You mean he wanted to take more from them. For the second time that day. Also, stalking people on their missions and taking none of the risks does not entitle you to their earnings.
We've seen better survivors in the show demand ALL of it in similar situations.
I love how you never list these examples, you just broadly refer to them.
Just about anybody Rick's group had stolen from on the show consisted of thugs, murderers, or cannibals.
Now, if you want to make a comparison to the Governor, Gareth, or Negan, I'll oblige.
Rick stole from other people's things he found constantly as they are constantly scavenging things that look recently used in the show. You are wrong, i disagree. Thats is just how abel talks, he isn't enjoying himself, he's explaining that the kid shouldnt try anything and protecting himself in case the kid is gonna try and shoot him.
That's not specific enough. Episode and action.
It is very hard to get specifics. Anytime they are seen scavenging outside their community they are behaving similarly. When Rick and Michonne raider all the mre’s and guns they could have been owned by someone. If there was traps set up in the woods of Atlanta that caught a fresh animal, they absolutely would have taken it.
The site in that episode was likely swamped with walkers since the outbreak.
You can tell because:
A) The Military's Walkers were still there. If it were a herd just passing through, it would be quite a coincidence for it to have so many members of the armed forces.
B) Their state of decay implies they had not recently died.
Even so, we did not witness any apparent entrance or exit. They had to fall through the roof to get the rations.
The boxes, meanwhile, were still tied shut. Rick had to cut them open. I would find it odd that any survivor staying there wouldn't have cut open the boxes to do inventory.
And on top of that, they spent the night, which would have greatly increased their odds of running into any owners.
Nothing indicated people had been there for a long time.
And even more so, again, you have to think of motive.
Rick and Michonne were trying to win allies with arms so that they could fight a dictator, that between him and his Saviors, had killed Denise, Abraham, Glenn, Spencer, and Olivia by that point already. A group that had already tried to murder Sasha and Abraham prior to Rick taking action at the Satellite Plant. And a group that actively engaged in mandating slave labor under the threat of death.
Abel was trying to leech more supplies off of a needy group that he had already taken from that very same day.
They don't compare.
So to summarize:
1) The site was near inaccessible.
2) The rations weren't even opened.
3) No signs of any survivors.
4) No signs walkers were cleared out ever.
5) Rick and Michonne's freedom and family were at stake.
