• Hello. So I wanted to ask, what did you think of Fear S5's first episode? I personally found it good but I still found problems with it that put it under "great" for me. Mainly how the characters would act at times or how Annie wouldn't tell Alicia why the area was dangerous. I understand why they made her not answer the question but it still would've been nice to avoid a cliche like that. I will give it some props for how it feels a lot more focused now and that the characters all felt important in their own way. Overall, I'd say it's a good introduction to the season and how it's setting up things for both the season itself and stuff like the Rick movies.

    • Idk, since I haven't watched it yet. I'll do it in the evening, which is in about 8-9 hours in my country. :)

    • Oh, well, I'm glad I didn't spoil anything major. 8-9 hours, sounds rough.

    • Don't worry about it. My expectations aren't that high for the premiere, I just hope it's better than last season. I have yet to watch most of the second half of Season 4 lol

        Loading editor
    • Well, I'll at least say it's better than nearly every episode of S4.

        Loading editor
    • That's good. I mean, it's a start... :D

    • So have you seen it or nah. I don't mind if you haven't.

    • I have. Sorry for not writing back. It was late and I had to get up to study :/ Anyway, I thought it was pretty solid. They set quite a few things up that I'm looking forward to them resolving. My one major complaint at the moment is: where do they keep finding fuel. It's been more than 2 years since the outbreak at this point. All the fuel they could find should be long gone. And the one that ain't shouldn't be usable either, since it's expired. Unless they're drilling and refining more oil, I don't see how they are doing it lol.

    • Oh, it's alright. I found that weird too. Especially for planes. I imagine it to be a lot harder to find fuel for planes than cars. Well, even then, Al's truck and Wendell and Sarah's semi would run out of fuel pretty quick.

    • Where did they plan to land that thing anyway?

        Loading editor
    • Ikr. I know it's a show and all but the fact that no one died in that plane crash and Luciana was the only one to be seriously injured is pretty unrealistic, even for TWD.

    • I wish they did more with the plane if they're gonna have one. Like, I would at least like to see what it was like for the passangers aboard as the plane crashed, instead of seeing it from the ground, but whatever.

    • Same. If I were to change it, the first 5 minutes or something would've been seeing the group in the plane doing whatever and finding out they're gonna crash, then it cuts to the scene of Max and Dylan hunting that deer.

    • Agreed. Maybe have them be shot down, too. By whatever group put up the walker road blocks. Would add more to the horror element, but oh well.

    • Agreed too. Also, Max's gun being jammed twice was just pretty silly.

        Loading editor
    • I found it pretty silly that he tried to fire it, and it jammed, but then he tried to fire it again two minutes later and was surprised that it was still jammed. Like what, did he think it needed to refresh or something lol? That sister seems like the only capable survivor in the family.

    • On another note, where do they keep fidning bullets? They are pretty happy to waste them on walkers, and don't seem to be making more, so...

    • Max and Dylan are definitely the lesser of their family in terms of survival. I mean, Dylan started walking towards a walker for no reason, and they both just stood there when a walker was coming towards them when the gun was jammed the first time. And ikr, John has always seems to have an unlimited amount of ammo somehow. I also found Morgan's preaching to be annoying as usual, but my prediction is that sometime in the season, he'll lose his philosphy somehow. Alicia's doubting of their mission just gave me that feeling that he'll be a somewhat different person by the end of the season.

    • Let's hope so. Morgan's actions are incredibly reckless. Wasn't there some crazy lady last season that killed truckers for no reason? You need to be safe before helping others.

        Loading editor
    • Yep, there was. I assume someone in his group dies because of something he did and it makes him question what he thinks. If they do actually change Morgan's character in a meaningful way I'd be impressed.

    • Unfortunately, the show will probably go the other way and make Morgan's way of thinking justified somehow. Hope to be proven wrong.

    • Even if the premiere had some flaws I am excited to see Daniel and Dwight.

        Loading editor
    • Indeed. Hope to see Sherry too at some point, seeing as how Dwight came to Texas looking for her.

    • Me too. (Sorry for the late response, haven't been able to be on wikia much today). One thing I'll give something to the writers about Morgan is that he explained why he's like the way he is. He's still pretty reckless but at least we know why he's like that.

    • It's something at least. :p

    • I personally didn't like the premiere, but I actually liked it better than 90% of all of Season 4. I'm hoping that the next episode is better.

    • It is something, yes lol. And I can understand why some people wouldn't like it. I can definitely see episode 2 being better with Daniel coming back in-person. Strand and Daniel's interactions in seasons 2 and 3 were some of my favorite parts of the seasons so that'll be an automatic plus from me. Knowing Dwight comes back the episode after is also nice.

I definitely can't wait to see more of the old rivalry between Daniel and Strand.

    • Me too. I'm interested to see what they'll do with Morgan and Dwight because (I think) they never interacted in the main show.
