Alden should have shoot Beta first. I mean I know why, because plot. But he had a clear shot and should have taken him out first.

I took it as Alden trying to aim for Beta but it got undead Mary instead, which I guess he was fine with, because he could tell that's what Beta wanted, and Alden took that from him.
I'm petty sure Alden meant to aim at Beta, but it missed so
Beta had good luck..........
Her and Earl I was beginning to like. Although predicting once Earl was making his speech before the attack he was going to die.
Although it was trick the audience. There was no reason why Negan had to kidnapped Lydia.

I'm sure we'll get the reason why later but it also could be to protector her. A whisperer would have found her if Negan didn't

Yeah, that was probably the reason why. He kidnapped her.
In all fairness I do think shooting Beta would've been a better choice. Also I think pairing Alden with Enid felt forced to me.
Yeah it did. There were a few relationship that just came out of nowhere Alden and Enid and Rosita and Father Gabriel.
Enid and Alden it felt they had no idea what to do which them. Especially after Maggie left. As I believe Enid was basically going to take Sophie role and Alden was going to be Dante.
