Title Screens are a recurring tradition in The Walking Dead. They usually appear during the beginning of the TV Shows, or Games, to get the viewer excited. This page will focus on the Title Screens, as well as the Cold Opens for Fear the Walking Dead and their differences.
Season 1[]
"Pilot"[]
Drug addict Nicholas "Nick" Clark awakes in an abandoned church, where he has been sleeping after getting high on drugs. Nick searches for his girlfriend Gloria in the church, which seems abandoned. Ahead, he hears strange noises, and as he makes his way down through the halls, he hears a man scream. Unnerved by blood splattered on walls, Nick finds a deceased man with his neck torn open. The wound looks to be a bite. Alarmed Nick creeps away and grabs a pole for defense. He then finds Gloria, who is eating a deceased person. Gloria spots Nick and approaches him, and he falls back, terrified at what he sees. As Gloria stumbled towards him, he gets to his feet and sprints out of the church, and onto a road. Clearly shocked by what he just witnessed, he is oblivious to everything else, and gets hit by a car. Dazed and injured, he is tended to by pedestrians who witnessed the incident. The camera pans to reveal Los Angeles, bustling with everyday activity in a pre-apocalyptic world, and the title screen begins showing the logo for Fear over a black background, while playing eerie music.

Alicia Clark walks down a quiet street and looks for her boyfriend Matt Sale at his house. She finds the place in disarray and gasps when she enters the living room, and the title screen begins showing the logo for Fear over a black background, while playing the standard soundtrack.

"The Dog"[]
In the Salazar's barber shop, Travis, Liza and Chris are waiting for the riot outside to disperse. Chris grabs a razor, to which Daniel tells him to put it back. As Travis and Daniel discuss what to do if the chaos outside were to find its way in, Chris touches the wall and tells the group that the walls are getting hotter. They realize that the building next door is on fire and they need to escape. As they open the door, several rioters enter the room to loot and burn the business, ignoring the six as they leave unscathed, while playing the standard soundtrack.
Emerging into the chaotic streets, Travis, Liza and Chris watch as a zombie police officer is busy mauling a riot cop on the ground, with no one paying attention to the grisly scene. They cautiously make their way through the riot, and decide to reach their truck to get out of the riot as more police swarm the area, and the title screen begins showing the logo for Fear over a black background, while playing the standard soundtrack.

"Not Fade Away"[]
Chris sits on the roof of the Clark residence, videotaping and narrating events that have transpired in the nine days since the National Guard took over: a perimeter fence has been erected around the neighborhood, creating a "Safe Zone" with a strict curfew in effect. Since everyone outside the fence is reportedly dead or gone, Chris is alarmed to discover a light flashing from a house in the Dead Zone, and the title screen begins showing the logo for Fear over a black background, while playing the standard soundtrack.

"Cobalt"[]
Douglas Thompson sits in a holding cell at the local military command post. Strand, a fellow cellmate dressed in a smart suit, taunts Doug that he's not strong enough to care for his family, but luckily his wife is attractive enough to land a man who could. Soldiers hear Doug sobbing and haul him away. Strand sidles up to Nick, his only remaining cellmate. "So," he says, "who the hell are you?", and the title screen begins showing the logo for Fear over a black background, while playing the standard soundtrack.

"The Good Man"[]
The city of Los Angeles looms through the moonlit night, devoid of any obvious signs of life and light, except the fires that rage unabated through entire neighborhoods. A massive horde of infected pound on the doors of the nearby stadium, as the title screen begins showing the logo for Fear over a black background, while playing the standard soundtrack.

Season 2[]
"Monster"[]
Standing on the beach at Victor Strand's house, Madison watches bombs drop in the distance. Strand steers a Zodiac inflatable boat towards his yacht, the Abigail, with Nick, Alicia, Ofelia, and Daniel on board. Back on shore, Madison and Travis prepare supplies for transport to the Abigail. Chris sits by his mother Liza's corpse in a catatonic state.
Strand powers up the Abigail and sees refugee boats fleeing the coastline as Los Angeles erupts in flames and flashes of light illuminate the sky. He dispatches Nick to pick up the rest of the group before the Abigail is beset by refugees. Madison, Travis, and Chris fight the infected on the beach. Nick arrives in the zodiac and they all flee the shore with Liza's body.
With everyone on board, Strand powers the Abigail forward. The group watches as the military firebombs Los Angeles and the raging inferno engulfs the land. The title screen begins showing the logo for Fear over a black background while playing a new emotional soundtrack.

An infected crawls out of the ocean and creeps toward a Harry Gaery and Willa Gaery playing on shore. A protective chain-link fence stops the infected from reaching them. Then the title screen begins showing the logo for Fear over a black background, while playing the standard soundtrack.

"Ouroboros"[]
In the middle of the ocean, Alex swims to her wounded companion, Jake, after surviving the crash of Flight 462. She brings Jake to a raft with other survivors. Tom, one of the survivors, smacks an infected passenger with an oar and pushes him overboard, while playing the standard soundtrack.
Days pass, and Tom tells Alex that Jake is dying and urges her to kill him before he turns. That night, Alex stabs Tom when he tries to kill Jake in his sleep. Michael, the remaining survivor, encourages Alex to put Jake out of his misery. After this, the title screen begins showing the logo for Fear over a black background, while playing the standard soundtrack.

At a church in Valle de Guadalupe, Baja California a priest exhorts his parishioners to fight the dead. The parishioners take their communion wafers one by one. In the town square, the parishioners arm themselves. Thomas arrives in his truck and urges the priest to stop. "Do not protect her," says the priest. Suddenly, the parishioners begin to drop on their knees in agony as blood pours out of their eyes. After this, the title screen begins showing the logo for Fear over a black background, while playing a new ominous church chorus.

Everyone runs to Thomas' room, where Strand has shot Thomas in the head. Celia screams at Strand for killing Thomas instead of allowing him to turn. Travis asks Alicia to help him find Chris. She refuses, explaining that Chris was holding a knife beside her bed. Celia forbids Strand from burying Thomas and attacks him when he declares that Thomas was not her son. Celia orders Strand and his group to leave by the next day. Travis sees Chris in a vineyard, but Chris runs away. As Travis runs after him, Nick creepily looks out the window at them, and the title screen begins showing the logo for Fear over a black background, while playing new ominous music.

Nick wakes up at a crash house in Baja. He finds Sofia. She's going south to find Juan's father but tells Nick to head north if he wants to join up with those like her. She warns him to be wary of strangers on the road, "Mañas", who are taking advantage of the new lawless world. Sofia then gives him a backpack full of food and a jug of water and points him towards the highway.
A montage then starts of Nick treking through the hills of Baja, and more with "How Low" by José González playing in the background. He then reaches the highway with the a sign that indicates Tijuana is 100 kilometers away. After this, the title screen begins showing the logo for Fear over a black background in silence.

Nick wakes up in an infirmary in La Colonia.
He wanders through the town and sees a young girl crying. In a nearby field, the girl's father stands surrounded by neighbors from the Colonia. "Ready?" asks Alejandro, the community's leader. The father hands his knife over and enters a bus. Through the bus he passes into a gated field, filled with infected. He sacrifices himself to the herd as the people look on. After this, the title screen begins showing the logo for Fear over a black background, while playing the standard soundtrack.

"Do Not Disturb"[]
In a flashback, a bride and groom, dance at their wedding reception in the banquet hall of the Rosarito Beach Hotel. The mother of the bride informs the hotel manager, Elena, that she and her guests will be departing promptly due to reports of a sickness that is spreading. When Elena tries to assure her that they are safe, the mother tells her that the authorities are considering shutting down the border and that she wants to get all her family and the guests north as soon as possible.
As Elena attempts to assure her guests that there's nothing to worry about, the father of the bride dances with his daughter, but has a heart attack and collapses on the dance floor. Elena tries to call for help but the phone lines are dead. As resuscitation attempts fail, the father swiftly reanimates and bites his daughter on the face. As panic erupts, Elena and her nephew flee and lock the party guests inside the banquet hall. After this, the title screen begins showing the logo for Fear over a black background, while playing new ominous music.

"Pablo & Jessica"[]
In the bar of the Rosarito Beach Hotel, Madison and Strand fight off an infected herd. Madison hears Alicia calling for her. She kills an infected and opens its belly. She and Strand cover themselves in the infected's blood.
Madison and Strand walk unnoticed among the infected. They exit the bar and barricade the door behind them. Outside, they find the truck missing. Strand presumes Alicia and Ofelia fled together.
Madison and Strand take refuge inside the hotel's spa building. Madison tells Strand that Alicia would never abandon them. After this, the title screen begins showing the logo for Fear over a black background, while playing new ominous music.

Francisco sneaks out of La Colonia with his wife, Ana, and their young daughter, Laura. Ana tells their daughter that it's no longer safe in La Colonia.

A mass of desperate survivors arrive at the gate of the Rosarito Beach Hotel after spotting the neon sign that Madison flashed the previous night. Travis sits dazed on the hotel cafe floor after killing Brandon and Derek. Soldiers bring Travis to a barrack and measure his height and weight. Travis watches as soldiers shoot a prisoner in a bathroom and write a number on his head. He's then taken to a holding area full of people, where he sees Nick along with a wounded Luciana. At night, the helicopter pilot, Charlene, navigates toward the ranch with Jake by her side. Travis and Alicia tend to Luciana in the back. Jake wonders whether or not to gain more altitude, but decides against it. Out of nowhere, a round of bullets hit the chopper.
As the chopper tries to evade the gunfire, Travis is shot. He clasps his hand over his neck, and calls for help. He then unbuckles his harness and opens the door. "Help me," Travis tells Alicia. She unbuckled and tries to stop him, insisting he's in shock, but goes silent when she sees a large hole in his side. She realizes he was shot in the stomach, and the bullet came out through his neck. Unable to do much else, her hand slips away as Travis falls out of the helicopter to his death. After this, the title screen begins showing the logo for Fear over a black background, while playing new ominous music.

Russell, an elderly resident of Broke Jaw Ranch, wakes up to find his wife, Martha, out of bed. He cautiously approaches and finds that she turned.
Martha took her false teeth out before bed, so Russell takes her hands and has a last dance with his wife. Then, he raises a gun to her temple and shoots them both through the head. A lantern topples over as their bodies hit the floor. The house is set ablaze. After this, the title screen begins showing the logo for Fear over a black background, while playing "When I Grow Too Old To Dream" by Doris Day.

"Red Dirt"[]
At Broke Jaw Ranch, Nick and Jeremiah Otto are shooting pistols for target practice. Nick worries about Madison's long absence.
Alicia and Jake awaken in bed. Alicia also worries about Madison and the people who shot down the helicopter.
Nick spots Troy's team hobbling toward the ranch on the road to the gate.
Nick, Alicia and other ranchers rush out as Madison and Troy's team arrive, who all have bloody feet from walking without shoes. Jeremiah requests a private debriefing, but one of the ranchers, Vernon Trimbol, insists Troy's team share their findings with everyone.
Against Troy's wishes, Mike Trimbol announces that a group of Native Americans slaughtered Phil McCarthy and the others from the outpost. Troy tries to keep everyone calm saying they can handle the situation, but Mike cracks and blurts out that they're all going to die if they don't leave. After this, the title screen begins showing the logo for Fear over a black background, while playing new ominous music.

"The Unveiling"[]
Jake heads through the wilderness on his way to the Black Hat Reservation, hoping to parley with Walker. He begins to hear footsteps on the trail. Jake takes cover in the brush, and pops out to confront his pursuer.
He discovers that Alicia is the one on his tail. She's come to tell him that Walker killed the Trimbols. She warns him against talking to a killer like Walker, but Jake refuses to abandon his mission. Alicia decides to join him.
Alicia and Jake arrive at the Black Hat Cafe. They're surrounded by armed guards who confiscate their weapons. Walker emerges, machete in hand, and drops a severed pig's head on the ground in front of them. After this, the title screen begins showing the logo for Fear over a black background, while playing new ominous music.

"Children of Wrath"[]
n a flashback, Ofelia crosses the border into the U.S. and makes her way through the desert. A spray of bullets lands around her as an unseen assailant shoots at her. She hides behind a tree, but the shooter finds her. It's Jeremiah.
Jeremiah brings Ofelia to his truck and interrogates her. Ofelia asks for a ride, but Jeremiah says that "brown people" are not welcome at his home. She spits at him. He drives off.
Ofelia wanders through the desert and collapses, near death. She hallucinates and sees her father and Jeremiah rescuing her. Walker discovers her in this state. He gives her water and brings her to the Black Hat.
Walker examines Ofelia, bathes her and offers her food.
Back in the present, Madison chases Ofelia as she tries to escape the ranch. She punches and interrogates her for answers. After this, the title screen begins showing the logo for Fear over a black background, while playing new ominous music.

"Minotaur"[]
Madison wakes up in Jeremiah Otto's house and rummages through the dead man's office.
Elsewhere, Nick, Troy and the militia lure infected into an ambush.
Alicia strenuously works the water pump, but only a few drops come out.
Nick kills an infected and gazes toward the border, thinking of Luciana.
Alicia returns to Jake's quarters with the water she's collected. She cleans Jake's face with a damp cloth and frets over his slow recovery from the anthrax attack.
The militia returns to their ATVs and discusses the influx of infected. Nick suggests they mend the fences.
Madison searches Jeremiah's desk, his blood stain still there from the murder that took place. Some of the drawers are still locked.
Nick and Troy spot Walker's convoy as it approaches the ranch. Jake greets the convoy and shakes Walker's hand. The ranchers warily look on as Walker waves the convoy through the gate: The Nation has officially come to live at Broke Jaw Ranch. During this, the title screen begins showing the logo for Fear over a black background, while playing new ominous music.

"The Diviner"[]
Nick wilts in the hotbox. From the window slit he can see an infected Troy walking towards him. Suddenly, Troy falls to the ground catching himself with a somersault into a grand finish. Troy is not infected. Troy unlocks the hotbox and helps Nick out. However, Nick finds himself still trapped in the box and hallucinating the whole encounter.
Madison and Walker look upon a nearly depleted reservoir. Madison tells Walker that Jeremiah was aware of the low reserves. She insists they keep the water situation a secret in order to maintain peace at the ranch. Walker suggests they buy water from a trading post in Mexicali.
Madison and Walker tell Alicia, Jake, Ofelia, and Crazy Dog that they will be gone for a couple of days to secure a backup water supply. In the meantime, they instruct them to enforce water rationing across the ranch.
Madison reveals to Alicia that they only have six weeks of water left. She urges Alicia to keep the secret and gives her a radio to stay in touch.
Madison stops by the hotbox to give water to Nick. She then departs with Walker in a water tanker. After this, the title screen begins showing the logo for Fear over a black background, while playing new ominous music.

"La Serpiente"[]
Madison, Strand and Walker drive to the dam in the water tanker. They encounter a herd of infected. Strand throws a beeping alarm out the window to draw the mass of walkers away from the road, allowing the truck to pass unharmed.
Madison, Strand and Walker pull into a gated parking lot. Strand pushes a car aside to reveal a sewage grate. Walker does not like the idea of heading underground, but Madison reassures him this is the fastest way. The group descends into the tunnels. After this, the title screen begins showing the logo for Fear over a black background, while playing new ominous music.

"Brother's Keeper"[]
Newly exiled Troy survives in the wasteland. He kills a rattlesnake and cooks it over a campfire. Then writes in his journal.
Troy walks to the outpost formerly manned by Phil, who was scalped by Walker. Flies buzz around Phil's body in the chair where Walker left him dead.
Troy finds canned food in the outpost barn. He goes to the main building and retrieves a grenade launcher from a secret compartment.
He buries Phil, alone.
The next morning, Troy considers killing himself with the single bullet Walker left him. Something in the distance catches his attention. He smiles and shoots his gun into the air. The sounds of infected begin to grow.

In the pantry, Alicia spots Blake stealthily examining a bite wound on his stomach.
Ofelia informs Alicia that the pantry's air vent is broken. They realize they will run out of air if they don't fix the fan.

Madison, Strand and Walker drive a tanker to the trading outpost to meet with Lola and Daniel. Strand worries that things might go south when they show up to the trade empty-handed. Madison argues that they at least have Ofelia.
Ofelia and Crazy Dog ride on the back of the tanker. Ofelia grows weak and falls off of her perch. They all run to check to see if she's okay but spot a bite wound on Ofelia's shoulder. Ofelia asks for Madison's word that she will take her to see Daniel. Madison promises.

Troy sees the Proctors mobilizing and asks one of the men what's happening.
Troy tracks down Nick at a bar and tells him that Madison is in trouble.

After this, the title screen begins.
After three long seasons of the show, having a plain title screen with the main logo over a black background with an occasional differing soundtrack, Fear the Walking Dead received a massive update with their intro. Now, with a new updated logo, and new soundtrack, every title screen going forward, will have something to do with the episode. For, "What's Your Story", the title screen begins, with John Dorie standing next to a camp fire, in the middle of a field by a road, with quiet music slowly building up to the new logo with an intense drop.

Naomi tries to help John Dorie as he lies unconscious. Meanwhile, Alicia, Strand, and Luciana exchange gunfire with the Vultures.
Morgan runs over to help Naomi while she gets medical supplies from an ambulance.
Mel drives off in the ambulance. Naomi runs after him to get the medical kit. Alicia blows up the ambulance with a grenade launcher then strides up to Naomi and accuses her of betraying their trust. Naomi escapes and runs back to John's side. She tells Morgan that she knows where to find more medical supplies.
Luciana finds Charlie hiding. Charlie apologizes for killing Nick but runs off when Luciana gets distracted by a Vulture.
Althea videotapes the battle. Morgan urges her to stop filming and help save John's life.
Alicia corners Naomi and John at gunpoint. Al rides up in the SWAT vehicle and aims her guns at Alicia, forcing Alicia to lower her weapon. Morgan helps Naomi carry John inside the vehicle and urges Charlie to board if she wants to live. Charlie joins him.
Naomi instructs Al to drive to the stadium. After this, the title screen begins showing the same deserted field again, with a group of infected in the distance, with the music slowly building up to a drop, showcasing the new updated logo. This is during a sunrise.

Alicia takes refuge in an abandoned house to escape the raging storm. She kills a walker in the kitchen and drags the corpse through the living room.
More walkers emerge, and Alicia kills them each in turn.
Alicia lays the family of dead corpses on the lawn. Inside, she stares at a framed photo of the family in the living room, then destroys the frame. She removes all the other family photos from the wall, piles them into a laundry basket and leaves them next to the bodies outside.
After this, the title screen begins showing the same deserted field again, with the music slowly building up to a drop, showcasing the new updated logo. However, in this title sequence, there is a large storm knocking everything down, from infected, to power lines, all the way to letter a part of the logo. The intro is also taken from the perspective of Al's video camera again, as droplets of water can be seen on the lens.

"The Code"[]
Morgan looks for Alicia Clark in the storm to no avail. Suddenly, he comes across a semi-truck on the road.
Morgan takes refuge inside the truck and discovers boxes filled with supplies. "Take what you need. Leave what you don't. See you further on up the road," reads a note. He takes water and a protein bar.
Next morning, Morgan wakes up to the sound of a walker outside the truck. He cracks open the door and kills it as it tries to climb inside. He steps outside and finds himself at a truck stop in Mississippi.
Morgan enters the truck stop mini-mart and hears a woman's voice on a radio transmitter. Morgan responds and says that he accidentally hitched a ride in one of the woman's trucks and ended up at a Mississippi truck stop. She instructs him to take what he needs and leave what he doesn't.
After this, the title screen begins showing the same deserted field again, with the music slowly building up to a drop, showcasing the new updated logo. On the road we can see the truck Morgan is inside in driving by, as the storm cloud from the previous episode above brews.

"Weak"[]
June watches John's story on Althea's tapes and radios him to thank him for the kind words he said on the tape. Althea returns and tells her to conserve the battery on the radio. Without gas, they're forced to hang out by the truck for a day.
The next morning, they hear someone on the walkie. June asks if it's John but is met with silence. After this, the title screen begins showing the same deserted field again, with the music slowly building up to a drop, showcasing the new updated logo. Althea can be seen next to her truck, in the field, and kills an infected.

"Blackjack"[]
While the group waits for Quinn, a walker approaches their truck. Jim gets scared but Wendell uses his wheelchair spikes to impale it while Sarah finishes it off.
Jim notices the "Take what you need" message marked on its forehead and June immediately radios Quinn. However, she only hears walker groans on the other side, followed by Martha telling her he's dead.
Morgan recognizes the voice and radios her. Martha asks, "Is that you, Morgan?" and then tells him she knows a lot about him. She warns him to stop leaving those boxes on the road because it will make him weak. "I know who you are, I know what you're really capable of," she says ominously.
After this, the title screen begins showing the island Victor Strand and John Dorie are trapped on, with the alligator slowly popping on screen, with the music slowly building up to a drop, showcasing the new updated logo.

"MM 54"[]
In a flashback, Martha and her husband, Hank, are involved in a car accident that leaves Hank impaled by a guardrail. Martha frantically tries to wave down passing cars, but nobody stops to help.
Martha sits next to the car. A figure walks toward her. She starts to ask for help until she realizes it's a walker. She brutally kills it with a rake.
Martha holds her husband's hand and assures him that someone will help. The next morning, he dies and reanimates, and a heartbroken Martha puts him down. In the night, she buries him and is driven insane.
The next day, a truck pulls over at mile marker 54. The driver, Stevie, places a supply box on the ground and writes an accompanying note. Martha introduces herself and corrects the grammar on Stevie's message. Stevie thanks Martha for helping. "I don't help," Martha says as she stabs Stevie's throat with a stick.
Another truck driver leaves a supply box on the road. Martha ambushes him with a zombified Stevie, killing him. The following days, she kills several more truckers by attacking them with other turned truckers.
One day, Martha ambushes a truck driver, Purvis, and demands to know the identity of Polar Bear, the person who organized the box distribution. When the man refuses to answer, she kills him and tries to contact Polar Bear on the truck's CB. Morgan answers back and tells her he accidentally hitched a ride in the trailer.
After this, the title screen begins showing the same field by the road, with one of the truck's that belonged to Clayton's group in flames by Martha, with the music slowly building up to a drop, showcasing the new updated logo.

"I Lose People..."[]
On the roof, June assures Morgan that they'll find a way off somehow.
Back on the island, Strand and John notice Alicia and Charlie waving at them from across the pond. Alicia hears June on her walkie and tells her the good news. Morgan warns Alicia to watch what she says because Martha might be listening. He also informs them of their roof situation. Alicia and Charlie head out to locate a boat to rescue John and Strand.
Jim stands on the edge of the roof to urinate on the walkers below. Morgan asks him to help them rescue Al but he declines. Sarah then asks Jim for his beer recipe, saying that he might die but his beer can live on. He tells her to leave him alone and she reluctantly does.
After this, the title screen begins showing the same field by the road, with the car Jim Brauer jumps on to save the group there, with the music slowly building up to a drop, showcasing the new updated logo.

"... I Lose Myself"[]
Althea flees into a building to escape a herd. There, she finds a walkie and tries to contact the group to no avail. She spots a TV news van nearby and watches some of the tapes. Then, she hot-wires a police car and drives back to the hospital, only to encounter Martha with a zombified Jim. Martha tells Al she watched her tapes and admires her strength. She orders Al to give Morgan a message, but she refuses. Martha attacks Al with Jim and then knocks her unconscious.
After this, the title screen begins showing the same field with flowers, with the denim factory in the distance, with the music slowly building up to a drop, showcasing the new updated logo.

"Here to Help"[]
In the woods, Dylan and Max hunt a deer. However, the gunshot attracts a walker. Max tries to shoot it but the gun is jammed and they start to panic when suddenly, a plane crashes through the trees and debris cuts the walker in half. They investigate the crash site and notice burning boxes with the take what you need message scribbled on. As walkers surround them, Alicia emerges using a propeller to kill him, telling the kids they are here to help.
This title screen features the crashed plane seen in the cold open.

Inside Althea's truck, Strand makes a tape where he tells the others that if they're watching it then he didn't make it. He grabs a few supplies and a beer before heading down a road to El Paso.
Sometime later, he arrives at the entrance of a compound with rebar sticking out of the road. An orange cat greets him before a walker impales itself on the rebar. Suddenly, a gun cocks and Victor puts his hands up, asking Daniel to act calm and reasonably. Daniel orders him to turn around slowly. He tells him that his cat, Skidmark, likes him. Daniel then shoots a walker behind Strand before inviting him inside.
This title screen features two walkers attracted to a cage in the trees. This is later revealed to be the trap that Grace set up in the woods.

On the road, John and June drive out of walkie range and find another walker roadblock. They approach it and immediately come under fire, forcing them to retreat in their van and drive through the barrier. They arrive at a ranch called Humbug's Gulch, and this title screen begins.
This title screen features a sandstorm, with tumbleweed passing by. The R on the Fear logo becomes crooked.

It's October 12 according to a calendar. Daniel is working with his cat, Skidmark, to lure the dead away from a store. He is aware of a rig made to shoot him when he opens a door, so he taps it and dodges the bullets, taking the keys to a car from a walker that emerges before heading out with a bunch of new supplies and Skidmark. Back at his warehouse, he puts away the rations, tears off a day from his calendar, and cooks dinner with Skidmark.
This title screen features a truck with the plane, mirroring the events of Strand's group infiltrating Daniel's warehouse to steal the plane.

In the rain, a tied up Althea is carried by the CRM soldier. She wakes up and notices they nearby spreading powder on the corpse of the armored walker before lighting it on fire. Althea grabs her bag and runs through the woods. She ultimately falls down a hill where she gets her camera out of the bag before continuing her sprint. She quickly gets surrounded by walkers and is saved by the stranger, who then knocks her to the ground. Althea knocks the helmet off the soldier revealing a woman who demands the camera.
This title screen features a helicopter flying into the distance.

"The Little Prince"[]
At the truck stop, Annie cleans herself up in the bathroom, Dylan reads The Little Prince, and the other kids watch cartoons. Morgan arrives with truckloads of plane parts and makes a plea to the kids for them to stay together and to help them re-assemble the plane so they can leave the area together. "We can because we've done the impossible before," he says. Luciana reveals they will fly across the mountains together. Dylan steps up and agrees.
This title screen features the roadblock walkers with a warning sign of high radiation next to them. This mirrors the end of the episode, when Alicia cuts through the walker barriers to look for Annie's group.

"Still Standing"[]
In the woods, Alicia cuts down the walker roadblock while Strand and Charlie stave off walkers at the crash site. Strand finally frees the propeller as Charlie uses the balloon as a walker barricade from at least three of the radioactive walkers. Elsewhere, Grace is prepping the generator at the power plant. Morgan explains the situation to her over the radio. She is willing to help but can't leave until the generator is running and instead gives him directions to a place that might have a vehicle. Alicia struggles to make her way through the maze of walkers before she sees Dylan, who tells her to come with him. He takes Alicia to the kids' treehouse hideout, which has walkers tied to the gate. Annie warns Alicia she never should have come here.

"Is Anybody Out There?"[]
In a flashback, Morgan's group is at the dam taking turns on the radio trying to reach out to strangers who might need help. After days of no response, Morgan finally makes contact with a man named Logan, who he promises to help. In the present, Doris and Logan's crew confront Logan, having torn apart the factory in search of something that he promised them but they can't find. The group demands to know what they are looking for, threatening to kill him otherwise.
This title screen features the same power plant with a siren. It blares throughout the entire main theme.

"Channel 4"[]
In a found-footage style, Althea interviews the group asking why they want to help others. Morgan explains someone was trying to help him. Alicia explains that she used to kill walkers but now is looking for a new purpose. John explains that this group is rich because they have skills. Their effort now is purely to help others. Al presses Morgan on why he says they all need to start living. "I guess sometimes it's easier to see what other people need help with," he says. Al puts down her camera to kill a walker and then resumes her interview.
This title screen features a camera recording effect, and the text font has changed. The mountainous background has been removed and we see our group moving from that area in the trucks.

"210 Words Per Minute"[]
A man named Charles radios Morgan's group to say he saw their video and wants them to come to the mall he's holed up in to kill him, since he's been bitten.
At the mall, Dwight cuts down a walker with his axe and leads Morgan and Grace inside. In an office, Morgan and Grace find an iPod with a note from Charles promising his favorite songs. They also find a chair where he tied himself up until he turned and a herd of walkers on the ground level. Suddenly, Grace passes out and Morgan tells Dwight to find a first aid kit.
This title screen features the mall's fairground ride that Morgan and Grace go on in the episode.

"You're Still Here"[]
Alicia studies another painted tree with the phrase "If you're reading this, you're still here" and wonders aloud where the person who wrote it is. A walker appears and she hesitates killing it, prompting Strand to save her at the last second. Alicia apologizes but he tells her he should have been closer. She looks back at the tree's message and asks Strand, "You ever get the feeling the universe is trying to tell you something?". Alicia claims the message gives her hope.
This title screen features one of the painted trees that says, "If you are reading this, it means you are still here."

"Ner Tamid"[]
A Rabbi gets interrupted from a solo service by a walker banging on the door of a synagogue. He talks to it sarcastically and uses the knife on his rifle to kill it. He then closes a fence with a chain and kills more walkers before one gets on top of him. Suddenly, Charlie opens the car door and knocks it to the ground, allowing him to kill it. He reveals himself to be Rabbi Jacob Kessner and welcomes her to his temple, saying God must have led her here.

"Leave What You Don't"[]
In a flashback, Logan is still working with Clayton leaving boxes on the road. Suddenly, he gets a distress call from a woman named Serena, who's trapped by walkers at a supply station by mile marker 65. With his truck low on gas he calls Clayton to help, but when he doesn't respond Logan is forced to sprint the rest of the way. He arrives at the truck stop to find a group of walkers devouring the remains of Serena. They look up at him and he quickly puts them down before going outside and falling to his knees in grief. Logan looks out to the road and sees a group of people riding along on horseback. Virginia introduces herself and asks if Logan was the one who was trying to help, offering their condolences. She says she's been keeping tabs on him and shares his vision. "We can get from yesterday to tomorrow," Virginia says grinning as Logan's expression changes.

Morgan watches tapes of himself discussing how he met his wife and how much he loves his son. He tells Althea they should drop off more boxes before returning to the convoy. She reluctantly agrees and notices one of her gas cans missing. They quickly find a man filling up a car. He takes out a knife and begs them to leave. Suddenly, four horsemen arrive and the three of them are forced to hide in the van. The horsemen nearly discover them but luckily get distracted and leave.

Virginia presents a montage where people praise her actions of helping those in need. She promises to build something bigger and better, claiming she and her group hold the key to a safer future where they can help each other. "Pick up the walkie, channel 5," she tells them.

Dwight runs through a field before collapsing. He hallucinates Sherry's voice on the radio and chucks it into the dirt from frustration. He makes it back to the convoy's abandoned cars before hearing a group of horses ride up to him. He stands up to shoot and discovers the horses without riders. "You just saved my life," he tells them.

"The End Is the Beginning"[]
The sun is beating down on a beach as a walker is approaching a man who is spray painting the words "THE END" on a red wall. Later at night, Emile sits at a campsite where he hears someone near him. A man stumbles up, saying he has been pursued for days. Emile offers the man food and asks for his name, which he says is Walter. Emile talks about how humans and beans have been tied together since the beginning. Walter asks what's in them, so Emile leans in close and says it's a family secret. A barking dog startles Walter. Emile praises the dog, Rufus, and Walter looks scared. He asks how he knows the dog's name to which Emile replies that it is his dog. He then proceeds to decapitate Walter, and he leans down to reveal to his recent kill that the secret ingredient was tabasco. Later, Emile puts Walter's head in a box. He then gets a call from Virginia who needs his help tracking down Morgan Jones, but she doesn't know if he's dead or alive. She promises him all the gas he needs if he gets the job done. Emile pledges to find Morgan, sets the basket with Walter's head in his truck, and prepares a box for Morgan's head.
This title screen features a revamped version of the S4 and 5 main theme, and features an animation of Emile and his dog, Rufus.

"Welcome to the Club"[]
In the middle of the night, a group of workers is escorted to a warehouse at a sugar factory where 500 walkers wander around inside. A ranger, Jeb, tells them that this is their chance to redeem themselves in Virginia's eyes. He then bangs on the door separating them from the walkers they are tasked with killing, as a worker hands the rest their spears. One of the workers, Sanjay, drops his spear and attempts to walk away out of fear, but is forced back to his post at gunpoint by Jeb. A worker then proceeds to open the door to a room drenched in a sticky, viscous substance. Unfortunately, the door gets stuck, allowing the walkers to crawl under, grab the unfortunate door handler, and pull him to his doom. The other workers attempt to fight the dead, but fall one by one as the walkers pull them under the door. With only Sanjay left, Jeb commands him to close the door, but the former is paralyzed with fear. Begrudgingly, Jeb tries to close the door himself, but another surviving worker, Ridings, grabs ahold of his leg as she is being pulled under, begging him to save her. Jeb coldly executes her instead, but this doesn't release his leg from her grip, resulting in Jeb getting pulled under along with her corpse by the walkers. Grabbing onto the descending door, Jeb pleads for Sanjay to save him, but the latter is unable to, resulting in Jeb being pulled away by the walkers to be devoured as the door slams shut behind him.
This title screen features Strand, and the main theme has changed, adding a few extra guitar notes.

"Alaska"[]
Morgan plays with his namesake in her new crib. Rachel notices the bags of food Morgan has brought and thanks him for it. Upon further inspection, however, she gets suspicious, and asks where Morgan got the supplies. Morgan reveals that he has a friend inside one of Virginia's settlements. As he prepares to had out, Rachel asks if he wants to hold her baby, but Morgan declines, as he claimed his arm has healed sufficiently. Rachel says that it will be nice when her daughter gets a playmate, which Morgan agrees with, before heading out. Rachel rushes after him, wondering where he is going. Morgan laments how people didn't change much before the outbreak, even when they wanted to. He claims, however, that he has been "sixteen different somebodies since it all ended". Morgan is determined to find Grace and the others and bring them back, but is scared that he won't be the man they know. Rachel acknowledges that Morgan might have changed, but is certain he'll still be the man his group knew. Morgan then goes to a workbench and combines his staff and Emile's axe to create a new weapon, with which he immediately starts practicing.
This title screen features Althea standing outside the building that will be the main location for the episode. The main theme has changed again, but is similar to the theme used in The End Is the Beginning.

"The Key"[]
John Dorie wakes up and writes a letter to June, in which he talks about his father and his experiences in Lawton, particularly his role as a law enforcer. He admits that he was hesitant to take up the mantle again at first, but has settled into his profession. He adds that he is starting to come around to the Pioneer's way of life. He then brushes his teeth and makes himself a cup of coffee. However, it is evident that he is suffering from tooth cavities. He then puts the letter in his laundry bag and heads out, swapping his usual black hat for a ranger one. He picks up his guns at the gunsmith's shop, and then relieves Cameron from his guard duties. At the end of his shift, he drops his laundry off with Janis, turns in his guns, and heads home. He repeats the routine the next day, this time picking his laundry up on his way from work. Once home, he opens the bag to find a letter from June, and immediately reads it. The next day, John finds Cameron missing from his post. He and a couple of rangers go to his house, but receive no reply upon knocking. While the rangers keep trying the door, John searches the back yard and quickly spots Cameron's corpse being devoured by a couple of walkers. He kills them, as well as the newly reanimated Cameron.
This title screen features John Dorie in Lawton. This version of the main theme gives off a western vibe.

"Honey"[]
Sherry is lying on and looking over the letters Dwight collected, and is soon joined by her husband, who prepared scrambled eggs for her. He jokes that even the bubonic plague couldn't keep them apart. They start making out, when Dwight notices the letters Sherry took out. Sherry says that she can't remember many of the places in the letters, and Dwight adds that her letters kept him going, even if they were one-sided. He observes the first one, where Sherry claimed Dwight was no longer the man she fell in love with and how she was sorry for this. He tells Sherry that he always kept this in mind in order to be the man Sherry once loved when he met her again, so she wouldn't need to be sorry about anything, and claims that this is why he kept all of the letters. They start making out again, but are interrupted by Hill, who radios Dwight via his walkie and asks why he and Al missed the check-in. Dwight lies that they ran into a herd, an excuse which Hill accepts but demands that they head back immediately, as per Ginny's request. Dwight says that they wanted to check out some off-map spots, and that it will be worth it. Hill gives them 48 hours to do so. Dwight supposes Al, who was supposed to cover for him, must have gone out of range. Sherry asks if they should look for her, but he says he will go in the morning and doesn't want her mixed up in his mess. Sherry points out she already is, until they can figure out how to get out of it. Dwight reveals his plan of faking his death and running away together, but Sherry asserts that she can't run away, before heading to the kitchen to fetch a fork. Dwight waits for her when he hears something clink on the floor and a door creek. Dwight arms himself with his hatchet and slowly approaches the now-open back door. When he pulls back the curtain, he is startled by a masked individual. Dwight turns around to run, but is confronted by two more masked survivors and held at gunpoint, before a bag is put over his head.
This title screen features Dwight and Sherry holding hands, with Sherry holding a mask in her other hand. This version of the main theme only features brass instruments.

"Bury Her Next to Jasper's Leg"[]
Virginia and her posse chase a woman through the woods. The woman trips and falls. Hill finds spray paint in the woman's backpack and points to a message spray-painted on a nearby tree, "The End is the Beginning". Virginia orders the woman to explain what the message means. The woman realizes that Virginia is scared of the group responsible for the messages. Virginia tells Hill to take the woman to Lawton for interrogation. The woman grabs a gun and shoots herself in the head.
This title screen features June Dorie at Tank Town, with oil splattered across the screen. This version of the main theme features a more stripped-down version of the S4/5 main theme, featuring a louder acoustic guitar sound.

"Damage From the Inside"[]
Strand leads a convoy of rangers to escort Dakota to a safe house. Dakota asks Strand when he's planning to rebel against Virginia and points out that Virginia is in a vulnerable position. Strand feigns ignorance of any insurgent plots.
The convoy encounters dead bodies on the road. Strand and Samuels ride ahead to investigate.
Strand and Samuels discover a tree blocking the road. Riderless horses from the convoy gallop toward them. They race back to the convoy and find the rangers dead. Dakota is gone. They gun down the rangers as they turn

"The Door"[]
John carefully cleans his gun at his cabin and periodically shoots walkers coming out of the river. He writes a note with Scrabble tiles, "Goodbye June", then aims the gun at his head. He stops to shoot another walker outside, then goes to investigate.

"Things Left to Do"[]
June digs a grave and rolls John's body in. She takes John's revolver and glares at Virginia in the distance. Hill orders her to drop the gun, then reports June to Virginia. June demands to know why Dakota killed John. Virginia says she doesn't know.
This title screen features Virginia, ready and waiting to give the kill order, with the backdrop of the dam and a few guards on watch. This version of the main theme features an electric piano and a structure overall similar to the main theme used in "Bury Her Next to Jasper's Leg."

"Handle With Care"[]
Daniel sits in a jail cell and performs a cognitive test. He answers someone's questions and says he felt hopeful on the day it began.
In a flashback, residents of Valley Town work in harmony to build the community. Daniel serves soup to Morgan.
From his cell, Daniel tells his interrogator that the community would not have come together if he and Morgan had initially told everyone what they were building.
Grace summons Morgan to the pavilion.
Daniel tells his interrogator that he was glad to see everyone together.
Charlie stands guard outside Valley Town and tells Daniel that the visitors have arrived.
Sherry and Rollie pull up in the SWAT truck. Sarah, Strand, and Samuels arrive on horseback and the latter reveals empty spray paint canisters that they found in the area. Strand worries that the people who destroyed Tank Town are still on the loose. Morgan proposes they work together to track down the enemy.
Daniel tells his interrogator that everything changed after that moment. After this, the title screen begins.
This is the first time a fade transition led into the title screen. This title screen features Daniel with his rifle. This version of the main theme adds a quiet and eerie violin sound, signifying the mystery of the missing weapons in the episode.

"The Holding"[]
In a subterranean settlement called the Holding, workers garden, cook and eat. A machine grinds a walker into soil. A voice on the P.A. system talks about death giving way to new life.
A worker stares at a walker on display in the Holding. It is tangled up in ivy. She tells another worker, Riley, that she's trying to see the walker the way Teddy sees it. Riley assures her she will eventually succeed.
Riley and a crew of workers wait for new arrivals that a patrol saved above ground. The elevator doors open: It's Al, Alicia, Luciana, and Wes. Riley welcomes them to the Holding. Al quietly confirms with Wes that this is the place they were looking for. "The End is the Beginning," reads a message spray-painted on the wall. After this, the title screen begins.
This title screen features Wes at the Holding. Additionally, this is the first of Season 6's intros to use white colored text for the "Based on" and "Created by" credits.
