Tom is an antagonist and a survivor of the outbreak in AMC's Fear the Walking Dead. He is one of the passengers that survives the plane crash of Flight 462.
Overview[]
After the outbreak begins, Tom is quick to turn on his fellow survivors as long as it ensures his own survival, even if that includes killing them. Right off the bat, after Ian is bitten, Tom shows no hesitation in killing him, despite his pleas. He then suggests to kill Jake, who is in poor condition and most likely will die and turn. Alex refuses to let this happen, and in the middle of the night when Tom believes everyone to be asleep, he takes the opportunity to kill Jake. Unbeknownst to him, Alex is awake and kills Tom before he can finish off Jake.

After Alex and Jake are brought on board, he smacks Ian in the head with an oar, knocking him overboard, after noticing a bite wound on his leg. He then suggests that they kill Jake, as he will most likely die and turn, but Alex defends Jake. That night, Tom attempts to sneak up on Jake to kill him, but is stabbed in the throat by Alex and thrown overboard.
