Tom is a survivor of the outbreak in AMC's The Walking Dead.
Pre-Apocalypse[]

Nothing is known about Tom's life prior to or as the outbreak began, except that he had a sister named Jesse and a mother and father.
Post-Apocalypse[]

Tom survived in a subway tunnel alongside his family and dozens of other survivors. At some point, his father left the camp temporarily, but after failing to return when promised, his mother departed soon after to search for him, only to vanish herself. With Tom now the sole guardian of Jesse, the two kept hope alive that their parents would eventually return. Sometime after losing both of their parents, chaos erupted at the tunnel camp, causing the siblings to flee. Tom's whereabouts after this event are unknown.

Daryl finds a note left by Tom to his father. He tells his father that their mother went missing and that he will take care of his sister now that they are on their own.
