Yes...
―Tony after Bruegel asks if he's been good to him.[src]

Tony is a survivor of the outbreak in AMC's The Walking Dead: Dead City. He is a member of the Silk Stockings, serving as a bodyguard for Bruegel.

Overview[]

Very little is known about Tony, but he appears to be a very unstable individual. He acts as a "walker fighter" and is able to convince everyone that he is an actual walker. Whether he does this willingly or not is unknown. It is possible that he does it for a sense of purpose, which is alluded to by Bruegel. When not acting as a walker, he is shown to be in an unhinged state, such as feasting on rats and barely able to speak. If Tony has been forced into this role by Bruegel, it's possible that prolonged captivity and slavery has simply had a negative effect on Tony's sanity over time.

Pre-Apocalypse[]

Location Unknown[]

According to Bruegel, he hired Tony as a bodyguard due to the number of people who didn't like him. Supposedly, Tony taught Bruegel the true meaning of service.

Post-Apocalypse[]

Manhattan, New York[]

After the outbreak, Tony possibly hid in Bruegel's already established bunker and continued his bodyguard work for him and joined his gang the Silk Stockings.

Season 2[]

"Power Equals Power"[]

One night at a plaza where the Uptown gangs meet to trade and for fight ring entertainment, Tony is the "walker fighter" going against Christos' walker in the ring. While disguised as a walker, Tony is able to get the advantage over the other walker and use his spiked helmet to put down the walker, rendering him as the winner of the match, much to the Bruegel's amusement.

"Feisty Friendly"[]

Tony will appear in this episode.

That night, with their secret exposed by Negan, Bruegel speaks to a vulnerable Tony, who sits in his makeshift cell without saying a word. After reminiscing on the past and how far they've come, Bruegel unleashes a blade from his watch and slits Tony's throat, killing him. It is unknown if Tony was put down or if he was kept as an actual walker gladiator for his entertainment fight ring.
