  • It's snowing on the night of the cookout and the walker attack on the Atlanta Survivor Camp. (Issue 5)
  • It starts snowing shortly after Lori's announcement of her pregnancy. The weather is so cold at this point that zombies start to freeze solid. This allowed the group to initially take shelter in Wiltshire Estates, but a sudden thaw revealed the community was actually overrun. (Issue 8, Issue 9)
  • It starts snowing right as a herd attacks Alexandria. (Issue 79)

  • A storm drives Maggie's team into a subway tunnel during their trip through Washington, D.C. towards Meridian. (Acheron: Part I) After leaving the group, Roy goes out into the storm and is hit by flying debris, suffering an injury of some kind to his eye.   • As Connie is finally reunited with her sister Kelly, a storm begins off in the distance and the group quickly returns to Alexandria for shelter. (On the Inside)
  • A large storm hits Alexandria with a lightning strike setting the windmill on fire. In addition, the storm creates at least two breaches in the community's weakened wall, letting in a herd that was attracted by the fire. As teams set out to put out the fire and seal the breaches, the rest of the residents take shelter, but have to deal with both the invading walkers and the bad weather. Judith Grimes and Gracie become trapped in a basement by walkers with water from the storm starting to flood the basement. (For Blood) The storm's winds also hamper efforts to put out the fire. Aaron manages to rescue Judith and Gracie and becomes trapped before being rescued himself by Lydia. By the time that Lydia gets Aaron out of the basement, the storm is over and the two go to successfully help put out the fire while Rosita and Dianne deal with the remaining walkers. As Daniel gets cornered by a walker, its struck through the head by lightning from the storm, putting the walker down and knocking Daniel unconscious due to his own proximity to the lightning bolt. Lola Guerrero later tells J.C. that the storm has left a lot of bodies in her dam and her boys have their hands full as an explanation as to why Lola has hired Daniel as another janitor. (100)

(Bye) The two take cover in an apartment building in Greenwood and, after the storm ends, discover that it had caused the helicopter to crash, killing everyone on board. As a result, the CRM is left believing that Rick and Michonne had died in the helicopter crash. (What We) When Rick returns to Cascadia Forward Operating Base, he tells Pearl that a lightning strike downed the helicopter and that only he had survived thanks to Michonne shoving him out of it just in time.
