"The Beacon"[]
This man is among the guards to capture and sanitize Will prior to bringing him up to the top floor in Strand's Tower. However, upon reaching the top floor, Will manages to overpower his escorts and lock a gate to prevent them from getting to him. Unfortunately for Will, he was quickly taken into custody by Strand. When Strand gives Will a tour of the rooftop gardens, this guard is also on the roof and quickly radios his colleagues to grab Will's stuff once ordered to do so by Strand. He later accompanies Strand, Will, and two other guards to travel to the spot where Will "found" the necklace Strand once gave to Will. While beneath a highway overpass to escape the rain, this man and his fellow survivors find themselves under attack by a mysterious group as well as by zombies. Unfortunately, this man is killed and eaten alive by the undead.

- Despite having lines in "The Beacon", this character remains uncredited. However, he was credited via the AMC Press Center as Utility Strand Guard.
- For reasons unknown, this man did not appear with Strand, Will, and the two other guards while on horseback in the woods. Instead, he is replaced by another ranger extra. However, in the scene immediately afterwards underneath the overpass, this man is back and the extra who replaced him in the woods is no longer there.
