Travis is a survivor of the outbreak in The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series. He is encountered with Ben Paul along with their teacher, David Parker.

Overview[]

Travis appears to be an untrusting and also somewhat dimwitted individual. When he is encountered by Lee's group, Travis doesn't trust them, believing them to be the bandits that attacked their camp. He has a somewhat rude attitude, demonstrated when Ben tries to get Lee's group to help their teacher, where Travis gets annoyed with Ben and tells him to shut up and let him handle the situation since his father was in Special Forces. Travis is shown to be quite incompetent and reckless. In both of his determinant deaths, Travis ends up getting himself killed. If Mr. Parker is freed, Travis will be too busy vomiting after his leg is amputated. This allows the walkers to get near him, causing Travis to panic and trip, letting the walkers devour him. If the group leaves Mr. Parker, Travis will grab Mark's gun which will end up causing him to be shot.

Pre-Apocalypse[]

Rural Georgia[]

Little is known about Travis' life prior to or as the outbreak began. He had a father who served in the Special Forces, and he attended high school and with his friend Ben. He performed in the school marching band along with Ben and they were traveling to a sports competition with their director David at the onset of the outbreak.

Post-Apocalypse[]

At some point after the outbreak, Travis, Ben and David took shelter in a high school with a large group of other survivors. Within three months, they were accosted by a group of bandits, who raided their camp and possibly killed several of their fellow survivors. Travis, Ben and David purportedly barely escaped from that raid, winding up on their own in rural Georgia near Macon.

Season One[]

"Starved For Help"[]

Travis is first encountered along with Ben attempting to help David escape from a bear trap. Travis is immediately frightened by the sudden appearance of Lee and Mark, begging that they let them help their teacher and leave without causing any trouble. He is distrustful of Lee, Mark, and the later-arriving Kenny, believing them to be associated with the bandits who had raided their camp. Insisting that he knows how to handle the situation, Travis becomes annoyed when Ben begs Lee for help with freeing their teacher. When Lee and Mark go to help David, Travis panics when he sees walkers approaching. At Lee's direction, Mark gets in front of the students to defend them from the walkers while Kenny stands in front of Lee to buy him time to break David free. Travis alternates between offering suggestions to Lee and making fearful comments on the walkers getting closer.

In-Game Decision[]

Free David (Dead): Lee is forced to amputate David's leg to free him, chopping through his leg with an axe. Travis is sickened by the sight of his teacher's injury, vomiting into a bush a short distance away. As the new amputee passes out, the others are preoccupied with getting him up to carry him away to notice as Travis is nearly overtaken by the horde. Lee and Ben call out for Travis, but Lee then holds Ben back from coming to his friend's aid. Travis falls down in his scramble to get away, but the walkers reach him and disembowel him as Ben watches in horror. The others are forced to flee from the walkers, leaving Travis behind to be devoured.

Leave David (Dead): Lee ultimately fails to free David from the bear trap, forcing Kenny and Mark to make the decision to leave him behind. Unwilling to leave his teacher behind, Travis tries to take Mark's gun from him to fight the walkers. Unfortunately for him, he puts himself in front of the barrel and causes Mark to accidentally shoot him through the stomach. Travis falls unconscious immediately, leading to Mark guiltily carrying him away from the scene to save him. They are forced to flee from the walkers, leaving David behind to be devoured.

The group returns to the Travelier Motel to get Travis treated by Katjaa. Mark sets Travis down in a truck bed for Katjaa to try to save him, though Lilly and Larry are outraged that they brought back two other survivors to potentially drain their group's resources. Katjaa gets to work on Travis's injury during the argument, trying her best despite having never treated a gunshot wound before him. Lee can later help Katjaa, applying pressure above his wound while she sutures him. She pessimistically muses about his chances of survival and states that they would be unable to care for him even if he did live. (Determinant)

Despite Katjaa's efforts, Travis bleeds out after Lee hands out the day's rations to the group. She calls over Lee and Kenny to inform them of Travis's death, the news making Kenny storm off in frustration. Travis quickly reanimates as a walker, sitting up and attacking Katjaa from behind. Lee manages to force Travis back into the truck bed to save Katjaa, but he himself gets grabbed and hauled into the truck bed when he calls for help. Grappling with the walker, Lee bashes Travis's head into the side of the vehicle until Larry/Mark rushes over with the axe. (Determinant) Lee kicks Travis away, but the axe misses its mark, forcing Lee to scramble to get away. Travis falls on top of Lee on the ground, forcing Lee to gouge through his eyes to keep him at bay. If Carley was saved in "A New Day", she comes steps up beside Travis and shoots him in the back of the head, saving Lee. Otherwise, Larry/Mark returns with the axe and finally manages to kill Travis with a chop to the back of the head. (Determinant)

Kenny, outraged at his wife's close encounter with a walker, demands to know why Ben hadn't told them that Travis was bitten. When Ben explains that everyone was infected, Katjaa concedes that she had not seen any bites on Travis when treating him. (Determinant)

Death[]

The St. John family is believed to have set up bear traps in the areas around their farm to entrap wayward animals and survivors, removing the traps' release latches so that they could ensure that their victims could not escape. David accidentally steps into one of these traps while traveling with former students Ben and Travis.

Free David[]

Killed By

After Lee amputates David's leg to free him, Travis is sickened by the sight and vomits. Unaware of the walkers approaching until he finishes heaving, Travis falls down when he frightfully notices them. Lee prevents Ben from going back to help Travis, leaving him helpless for the walkers to disembowel him. It is unknown if there was enough left of Travis to reanimate after the walkers devoured him.

Leave David[]

Killed By
  • Himself (Caused, Accidental, Alive)
  • Mark (Accidental, Alive) (Zombified, Determinant)
  • Lee Everett (Caused, Zombified)
  • Larry (Zombified, Determinant)
  • Carley (Zombified, Determinant)

Lee takes too long to free David from his trap, forcing Mark and Kenny to decide to leave him behind before the walkers overwhelm them. Travis, unwilling to leave behind his teacher, tries to take Mark's gun to fight the walkers himself, but he puts himself in front of the barrel and causes Mark to accidentally shoot him through the stomach. Mark carries Travis back to their motel to try to get Katjaa to treat his wound, but Travis loses too much blood and dies despite her efforts.

Travis reanimates as a walker shortly after Katjaa pronounces him dead, attacking her and Lee. Lee is able to fend off Travis' attack until one of the other survivors comes to his rescue. If Doug is alive, either Larry or Mark will use Lee’s axe to chop into Travis's head, depending on which one Lee chose to give the axe to. Alternatively, if Carley is alive, she shoots Travis in the head to save Lee.
