"Truth or Dare" is the seventh episode of the first season of AMC's The Walking Dead: World Beyond. It is the seventh episode of the series overall. It premiered on November 15, 2020, the same night as "Bury Her Next to Jasper's Leg", the sixth episode of the sixth season of Fear the Walking Dead. It was written by Eddie Guzelian and directed by Michael Cudlitz.[1]

While the group searches for something to advance their quest, one of them recalls their struggles in the early days of the apocalypse. A game of truth or dare brings emotions to the surface.

In a dream, Huck walks up to her friend in a bar. The scene is intercut with thermal images of people moving around.

Huck wakes up in an abandoned office. She packs her bag and cleans her gun.

Huck scavenges for supplies on a dead empty and smiles when she finds a pair of boots. Her smile fades when she finds a pin with the Marine insignia.

Huck hears a truck on the road and hides. She emerges when she sees Felix driving the CRM truck.

The group unloads supplies from the truck to set up camp for the night. Silas quietly watches Iris and Percy flirt. Huck gives Silas the boots that she found. Tony teaches magic tricks to Elton.

Huck and Felix share swigs of soda. Huck notes that they don't have enough fuel to reach New York. Felix says that Tony knows where to find fuel.

Tony gathers the group around a CRM map. He holds a green film above the map and shines a flashlight through the film, revealing locations of hidden CRM fuel stashes.

Percy helps Iris use the green film on the CRM map that Elizabeth gave her.

Tony asks Felix what their final destination is. Felix admits that they don't know where in New York the CRM facility is located.

In a flashback, a group of Marines cheers on Huck at a bar as she plays darts with a blindfold.

Huck brings drinks to her friend and strokes a scar on his face. She mentions an incident from their time in the field. Her friend insists that the only thing worth remembering about the incident is that they had each other's backs. Everyone in the bar gathers round to watch a TV news report about a hospital lockdown.

In the present day, Iris studies the CRM map with the green filter. Percy spots something.

Iris and Percy show the map to the group and point out a double helix in Ithaca. Iris guesses that it represents the research facility where her father is located.

Tony tells Felix that he's happy to see Percy spending time with kids his own age. Felix asks Huck why she seems distracted. Huck admits that she found a Marine pin that brought back memories.

Percy pours drinks for the kids and starts a game of truth or dare. He asks Iris what she would do if she could do anything right now. Iris says she would visit the Louvre.

Felix and Tony bond over a flask of liquor. Tony describes how he came to be Percy's legal guardian and says that he would give up his life for Percy.

Hope picks truth. Percy tells her to reveal the worst thing she's ever done. Hope says that she once spiked the teachers' coffee with laxatives. Percy guesses that she's hiding a darker truth. Silas tells Percy to leave Hope alone. Hope angrily leaves.

Elton runs after Hope and hugs her. Hope gently turns him away.

Huck sits on the roof and stares at the Marine pin.

In a flashback, Huck's Marine commander orders her team to kill hostile targets and escort healthy civilians to safety.

Huck and her team gun down two empties in a tunnel and discover a crowd of empties and civilians. Using a thermal scanner, Huck realizes that empties have a lower body temperature. She kills the empties and rescues the civilians.

In the present day, Hope finds Huck on the roof and confesses that she killed Elton's mother. Huck implores Hope not to tell Elton the truth.

The group arrives at the entrance to a CRM Fuel Depot.

Huck and Hope descend underground. Huck again discourages Hope from telling Elton the truth.

In a flashback, Huck's commander announces orders to kill all civilian and hostile targets in the hot zone.

In the present day, Huck looks for Hope in the darkness. She finds a man, Walter, holding Hope at gunpoint. Walter orders Hope to drop her gun.

Felix and Tony search for the fuel stash. Tony tells Felix that he and Percy will probably go back to scamming people after they drop off Felix's group in New York. They find the stash.

Walter asks Huck for more information about her group, mistaking her for a CRM soldier. Huck insists she is not CRM and offers to help stave off the infection from a bite wound on his leg. Walter releases Hope but aims his gun at Huck.

In a flashback, Huck tells her team that they cannot kill civilians. A fellow Marine says they have to follow orders.

Huck wrestles the gun from Walter and insists she can save him.

In a flashback, Huck's commander says that any Marine who fails to comply with his order will be taken into custody and charged.

Huck and her team aim their guns at a crowd of civilians. Huck guns down the Marines, then shoots her friend when he tries to stop her.

In the present day, Huck shoots Walter dead. Felix, Iris and Tony arrive. Felix says they found the fuel as well as some journals filled with CRM codes.

Hope and Iris peruse the CRM codes, hoping the codes might help their father.

Tony announces that he and Percy are going to help Felix's group find Dr. Bennett. Silas watches closely as Percy asks Iris to meet him at the truck in an hour.

In a flashback, Huck escorts the civilians to safety.

In the present, Hope tells Huck that she was right about keeping the truth to herself. She reveals that she stole a necklace from Elton's mother after she died. Huck says that Hope took the necklace as a reminder of the bad she had done.

In a flashback, Huck cuts a scar on her face to remind her of the friend she killed.

Iris goes to meet Percy at the truck and finds it decorated with candles and French art. She smiles.

Iris falls asleep in the truck and wakes up later. She looks for Percy inside the building and finds Tony dead on the floor, his head smashed in. She screams. Felix, Huck and Hope race to her side. Felix finds Silas slumped over in a closet.
