Hi everyone!  I hope everyone is managing to endure the wait for the 400 Days DLC, Issue 112, and Season 4.  Over the last few months, we have all agreed that there is a need for an official set of rules for blogging on The Walking Dead Wiki. So, without further ado, here they are.

Users, these rules can always be found at Walking Dead Wiki:Blog Rules, so please reference them when you are creating a blog and ensure that you are following all of the components. Staff members, please learn these rules and direct new users to them. It should be much easier to enforce these rules now.

Creating Blogs

1. No Spoilers

Spoilers will not be tolerated. Spoilers are any information that has not been officially released to the public. If details about an upcoming episode/issue/etc has been released to the public, it is not considered a spoiler.

2. No Harassment

Blogs are not the places to solve personal disputes. If you have an issue with another editor, leave a message on their personal talk page as well as on the talk page of an administrator. Derogatory comments about race, religion, gender, or anything else are not allowed. While swearing is okay, swearing directed at other users is not.

3. Have Content

Make your blog substantial and include more than just one sentence. Try sharing your own opinion on the topic and include a picture or two if you need additional content.

4. No More Than Three Blogs Per User Per Week

We love to hear your thoughts and ideas, but too many blogs clog up the newsfeed on the front page and prevent other’s blogs from being seen.

5. Be Relevant

While blogs aren’t required to focus on The Walking Dead, they should be relevant. Use your judgement and think, would the users of The Walking Dead Wiki be interested in what you are posting?

6. No Duplicates

Check the blog newsfeed before you post to make sure that no one has posted the same content before you. There is no need to have two blogs with the same information.

7. Be Original

Copying ideas from others is plagiarism and is not allowed. If you are using other’s ideas, you must credit them.


Commenting rules are the same as the relevant blog rules. These include the following:

  • No Spoilers
  • No Harassment
  • Be Relevant
  • Be Original

Spam or otherwise disruptive comments will be deleted.
