So, I sort of covered this on my Twitter but I figured I'd put it here on my Wiki profile to keep a note of it.

I'm a big fan of TWD but Season 5 of Fear was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. I had struggled with Season 4 but nothing could have prepared me for the horrific experience I was going to endure.
I may convert this into a fully fleshed out blog post, but for now I decided to just list the stupidity of season 5 in bullet points because thinking about it drains my energy.
Let's summarise the brilliant writing of the FearTWD showrunners, shall we?
- Our group somehow find and pilot a plane to get over a mountain because all the roads are blocked.
- Our group survive the crashing of said plane.
- Alicia uses a propeller to kill walkers, cutting her hands with no infection of any kind.
- The kids they meet have been surviving on their own after their parents died of radiation
- The kids don't want helped and won't tell them about the radiation because reasons
- The group are here because they were tricked by the owner of the factory they took over.
- The owner of said factory does not want the factory. He wants directions to an oil field. More on that later.
- Al has a video of Daniel and every other survivor in the world, apparently.
- Strand goes to Daniel who magically has a working plane.
- Daniel does not shoot Strand on sight because reasons.
- Daniel is best friends with the world's smartest and most loyal cat.
- Daniel outsmarts both Strand and Charlie despite not knowing Charlie existed.
- Speaking of Charlie, somehow Alicia never killed her last season because reasons.
- Daniel opts to sacrifice himself to stop walkers from hurting people.
- Strand uses the plane to kill the walkers so they can't save the others.
- Grace is trying to stop the meltdown of the nuclear power plant with generators.
- Sherry has left breadcrumb letters for Dwight, despite having no idea if he's alive since she hasn't seen him since before the war.
- Dwight somehow meets up with Morgan and the others because reasons.
- John splits a bullet with an axe and kills two walkers instead of just helping Dwight up.
- John risked Dwight's life just to show off his shooting skills.
- The CRM soldier takes Al hostage for the sake of the videotape instead of just killing her or something.
- CRM soldier does not kill Al as promised because they've fallen in love overnight.
- Dwight and Sherry both drove to this part of Texas but our group need to fly in and out because the roads are blocked.
- Strand and Charlie fly in via beer bottle shaped hot air balloon with some propellers.
- The group fix a plane. They rebuild a fucking plane with no known engineering or aviation degrees or expertise.
- Alicia and others are hell-bent on helping people who don't want helped to make up for some unknown bad thing they did in the past.
- Speaking of Alicia, she gets contaminated by a radioactive walker but nothing comes of this.
- Also on the topic of Alicia, she isn't the main character after Madison's death because reasons.
- The group succesfully rebuild and refuel the plane before flying through a cloud of radiation. No one is affected by this.
- They successfully navigate back to the airfield lit up with Christmas lights.
- Found footage style everyone! Al's camera has unlimited tapes and batteries.
- The group have somehow edited together a video and set it up on tvs across the state.
- Walkie talkies have infinite range and battery life until the plot demands they do not.
- Cars have infinite fuel until the plot demands they do not.
- The group come across a shopping mall full of supplies three years into the apocalypse because reasons.
- The group does not stay at the shopping mall and prefer to camp out in fields to avoid big bad man Logan.
- Morgan and Grace fall in love. How sweet.
- Grace has an ipod with infinite battery.
- Morgan and Grace risk everything to find out what illness she has only for her to decide not to find out.
- Alicia is too scared to kill walkers because of the radiation poisoning she doesn't have.
- Wes is the tree painter and tricks Alicia and Strand into helping him find and kill a man.
- He kills a man because said man stole his book.
- Wes doesn't want the book.
- Morgan and Al are stopped by Logan and his armed men. Logan wants to know the location of these oil fields. They refuse to tell him.
- Logan lets them go despite having armed men. Logan isn't intimidating.
- Logan also doesn't want them helping people because reasons.
- Charlie, a 14 or something year old girl, runs away in the hopes of living with a 50 year old man.
- Jacob is just Father Gabriel but Jewish.
- John and June run across ladders and cars to avoid a herd instead of having someone lead the walkers away. This goes on for some time.
- Using Al's unsecured tapes, Logan discovers the oil fields are in a quarry where our heroes have taken to using child labour
- Luciana is not only skilled at airplane repairs but also at oil extraction and fuel refinement.
- Logan is big bad because he failed to save someone
- Person he failed to save was too stupid to use back door or windows.
- Group does not shoot Logan on his arrival.
- Logan points out gunfire at the oil field would be bad; then threatens everyone with guns.
- No one shoots Logan and his men
- Night falls 30 seconds later because reasons.
- Another person trapped in same place as Logan's flashback.
- This girl also can't see the big windows or back door.
- Wes finds back door and kills a dozen walkers in 4 shots.
- Alicia and Strand arrive after spending about 20 hours running the same distance it took Logan half an hour/an hour to run.
- Logan considers being good boy then gets shot by new big bad. Virginia/Ginny/Offensive accent.
- Pioneers are basically Disney Western Saviors.
- Luciana "sacrifices" herself for the others.
- Althea is still taping everything with her magic camera.
- Daniel nearly gets bitten because records are more important than his bodily integrity all of a sudden.
- Althea and Morgan break into Pioneer stronghold to save random survivor's sister because helping people.
- Morgan fails to tell Althea about a walker he knocked out a window.
- Said walker knocks Althea and her magic camera into swimming pool but fails to bite her.
- Magic camera is waterproof.
- Althea and Morgan are caught, dried off and Morgan gets his stick fixed.
- Grace collapses and thinks she's dying from the radiation poisoning she doesn't have after singing a duet with Abuelo Salazar.
- Virginia creates her own documentary video to spread.
- Althea and the others decide to make another one to counter Ginny's.
- The Great Vlogging War of the Apocalypse begins.
- Alicia becomes Bob Ross.
- June wishes they could find a place to settle after ignoring many great places like the mall.
- June, the ICU nurse, even with an ultrasound, can't tell what is wrong with Grace.
- Ginny knows Sherry because of course she does.
- The group abandon their supplies to cross a bridge to an unknown settlement despite having safe places like the mall. Because reasons.
- Bridge can't hold the weight of the trucks, so Ginny helps them by attracted a herd of walkers.
- Our heroes do not shoot her despite having her outgunned.
- Tom, the veteran hero of the Vlogging Wars, stands on a collapsing bridge to prove he's better than Spielberg.
- Tom, the biggest idiot of the apocalypse, falls to his death as a consequence of his actions.
- The group and his sister fail to shed a tear and declare him a hero of the vlogging wars, encouraging Althea to continue recording everything with the magic camera.
- The group find a settlement filled with walkers. After 3 years of killing walkers they forget how to and call on Ginny for help.
- Dwight discovers the four horses of convenience and the group lead the herd away.
- Dwight's horse decides death is better than being on FTWD and stands still until the walkers devour it.
- Al films John and June's wedding while Abuelo Salazar and Grace duet again.
- The group surrenders to Ginny who takes them away in separate vehicles.
- Grace confesses to having had unprotected sex with her former lover before he died yet still hasn't considered her pregnancy being the cause of her illness.
- Once everyone is taken away, Ginny takes Morgan's stick to her face before shooting him in the chest.
- Ginny leaves him for dead as walkers approach.
- Instead of warning the others, Morgan talks about how helping people was fighting for the future.
- What a shockingly unexciting cliffhanger.
- The word "help" was used approximately over 9000 times. I tried counting but my brain started bleeding.
- The only deaths in the entire season have been Logan and his little group.
- Tom doesn't count because he wasn't even a person.
And people wonder why the fans are upset?

Since then, the showrunners have arrogantly dismissed the overwhelming complaints from fans and critics alike because they're happy and proud of the story they're telling. I know five-year old kids who tell far better stories, yes, they're over the top and totally fantastical because its a kid's imagination, but they're at least entertaining. Who wouldn't want to see a velociraptor riding a dragon to fight Superman?  Season 6 will be the final nail in the coffin for Fear, and its getting so bad it could start damaging the brand of TWD as a whole.  And we won't even go into the treatment of the female characters in general in Fear5....

Feel free to agree or disagree or point out anything else that my traumatised brain decided to blank out in a protective measure.
