Sasha is Not a Character

Hello, fellow fwends. Thank you so much for tuning in, and give some of your free times to read this blog. Today, in this blog im gonna talk about the reasons why i wont count Sasha as a character especially after Andrea got hacked off.

A Glimpse About Sasha

A glimpse about who is Sasha. Sasha first appear in season 3, where she is introduced as Tyreese’s little sister. It has a huge change here on who she is in the comic, well, some peopledont know that Sasha’s counterpart is Tyreese’s daughter in the comic. Despite their name differences, and personalities. Whom in the cimic, Julie, killed herself along with her annoying boyfriend, and turned into a  zombie almost bite her own father’s ass before killed by Rick Grimes. I know, I know, you guys might say, fuck, im glad she is not Julie in the show! But no. Her death really really develop how Tyreese’s character in the future. It is such a shame that the show derived from those—that we might say controversial—story lines, that they refused to depict in the show.

There are a bunch of those controversial storylines that they skipped actually; Lori’s death in the comic wasnt just because got ripped apart by her newborn daughter, she was shot by Lilly (who in the show came forced, and got killed off screen),  and crushed her baby, killing her instantly while Rick watches in horror.  And then, Carol in the comic is fascinating, not like TV Carol who is so fucking bland. (inb4, I already made a blog about this, and if you want to read it further click here).  And the one more thing, the Hunters in the comic were really really creepy than the Hunters in TV. Like really? Like, everyone has to have a large community as a villain? That’s downright lazy.

Sasha came up into the series as this “college bitch” sister of Tyreese, not too wild about her in season 3. Still kinda like her though. But in season 4, she’s just that bland. I can recall someone said, either it was Kaley, or Katie that Sasha had a potential but the writers killed that "potential". Which "why" brings us to the core-topic...

Core-Topic

 

I wont call Sasha a character. What the fuck bernieboiii. Well, here’s the thing. After since Andrea died, well fuck, a few episodes before Andrea got killed off it has been hinted that she is a sharp-shooter. She is hinted as this sharp-shooter badass in the zombie apocalypse, hence the comic Andrea who all we know is this sharp shooter badass of the zombie apocalypse. SAME. Now, lets go to after Andrea got killed.

Note: i have no ill feeling towards the actress who plays her, because clearly she has done terrific job as Sasha or the re-skin of Andrea.

Gimple said that Mazarra did a lot of things wrong, though he said it not vocally, but he does want to make things right. In season 4, the reasons why he brought back the Governor was to set the series right back to its rightfully tracks, where it should be belonged in the first place The show has been so fucking predictable ever since Dale died since we all know Hershel gonna be the moral compass and the moral compass get oftenly killed off. Now it is so fucking clear that Sasha is becoming Andrea, and wont be surpised if Tyreese gonna get killed off in the second part of season 5 because the writers have to make the viewers believe that Sasha is Andrea in some logics. (Losing the siblings just like Andrea lost her Amy).

Why i dont want to call Sasha a character? Because she has no story for her. I dont meant that she has "no story left for her again". But, all the stories for her are from Andrea’s plotline in the comic, even though some say, just because she got the storlines from Andrea’s in the comics, doesnt mean she has no story Bern. Well, think about this.

Daryl Dixon—another sharpshooting badass that almost everyone comes to love. An original character that has no comic counterpart, does have his own storyline. Original storyline i mean. Though at some points he has been given a privilege to fill some of the comic characters’ storylines in the show. But why i would call him his own character? Because has has not taken part in any of the comic character’s full storyline. While, Sasha here. She has her own storyline in season 3, this hard-will bitch in the apocalypse, who just trying to find a home to settle. After got kicked out by Rick Grimes, she, and her brother ended up with the Governor. There,  she has her own storyline. Something that Mazarra did right. But after season 4, it’s all about turning Sasha into the new Andrea here, that's i can not get behind off.

So who is Sasha? Should we call her Sasha? No. I think we should call her Andrea instead because it is clear what the writers trying to do here.

Poor Sonequa. I think the writers should just kill her off, and bring a new Andrea instead of making her, and wasting her own storylines that i think the writers have been keeping up under their sleeves before the decision of killing Andrea was brought to the table. Even in, “Infected” Sasha wore the same shirt as the shirt Andrea wore in season 2 goddamn it. It is that clear what the writers trying to do here.

Fuck Sasha for getting thrown away. and getting turned to become a new Andrea.

That’s just obnoxious. I think the reasons why i rant here, because i just can not get behind of the earthly reasons that the show fucked Andrea so much whom we all love, and waiting to be depicted in the show. Even though i am not one of those who were dissapointed with TV Andrea other than her forced death. It is that dissapointing people. To see Andrea got replaced by Sasha, and Sasha getting thrown out of the window, and the writers let Andrea to come, making Sasha filling her slot. Thats equal writting off Sasha, and replace her with Andrea.

Why they killed Andrea off anyways, it is obvious that the writers know in their right minds that she is CRUCIAL to the story line of The Walking Dead. damn.

So the underline here, I think Sasha is not to be counted as a character. Original character nor comic character. Because she is not a character. She is just a filler character. And i would find it so fucking funny if Sasha suddenly wanna bang Rick out of all sudden, without any history that the two had in the past. (inb4, i also made  a blog about why Carol should  be the one who ended up with Rick, click here if you want to read it).

Closing

That was my rant about Sasha *Williams* from the show. Again, i would like to starighten again something here, i do not have any ill towards the actress, its just how the show handled Andrea that really upsets me. Killing her off, and then replace a character whom has a lot of potential for her own storyline back in the days, and that caused her own storyline got written off. Like, what the fuck AMC. to be honest, i dont even care about Sasha anymore, i just want her to die at some points, despite her being one of my runner up favorite characters.

And one more thing. She was a firefighter before the apocalypse. How cliche is that? People come to love Andrea in the comiic because they see her character-growth from this inexperince woman, into this harden badass. While on the other hand about Sasha is that, she was already, theoritically, “a badass” before the apocalypse. And i dont feel anything of a character growth from that. Its just that bland the show is now. I think the best character that the show has now probably just Rick, Rosita, and Morgan. Glenn, and Maggie are just completely boring. Carol’s character overgrowth is seems to be forced. Daryl is just downright bland, with his "just for the sell factor" banner. And Carl is just this annoying prick that i dont even care if he got raped by seven demons from the blazing hell. Maybe Judith has a potential. Dont kill her, and turn her into Sophia. Because, why not? The show is fucked anyways, why dont make it more obnoxious? Despite it being sucks, i just can not stop watching it. Thanks to how awesome Andrew Lincoln is that makes me to keep giving the show chances, after chances. Gosh, Kirkman. What caused this show to be like this?
