Hello everyone!
In case you've been living under a rock for the past day, Season 3/ANF is now over. With Season 4 confirmed we definitely have a lot more content to enjoy. However, with ANF over I want to give my review.
A lot people hate this Season because Clementine isn't the player or main character. However, I did not enjoy playing as Clementine in Season 2 (especially the wind turbine scene which made every character look like a complete retard). Also, you can still play as Clementine (just not in FtG).
This Season has done a lot better in terms of gameplay and choices. In Season 2, all the characters were killed an episode or two after their appearance which really made it hard to get know them or feel any emotions at their deaths (especially Nick. That was a terrible death in AmTR). In this Season, most characters either got a lot of screentime or lasted 4 or 5 episodes. And the choices. Wow. Not only was Conrad triple determinant but he can also survive the entire game if you continued to save him. I don't care if his screentime got cut in half after every episode, I still didn't think they would actually do this. Also, depending on your choices from previous episodes, people can either view Javi as a selfish asshole or a respectable person. The choices constantly branch off into different outcomes.
Also, since the characters actually lasted longer, I found it easier to feel emotion at their deaths and get attached to them and learn about them. Even the determinant characters like Conrad.
What I did not like, however, is Kenny and Jane's deaths. Edith's was well thought of. However, I will explain how they could have been better. (Since we don't play as Clem anymore I can understand the flashback only deaths)
Jane's Death[]
If you've been playing since the beginning or Season 2 then you know why this death is more stupid than Homer Simpson. What they could have done is The New Frontier take over Howe's Hardware and they kill Jane. That would be much more plausible.
Kenny's Death[]
Looking back, I honestly can't think of any flaws with his death. He died saving Clem and AJ, which was way more than what Jane did.
That's pretty much it. Altogether, I give the season a total rating of 97.8%
(Also, almost all of my predictions were right except Lonnie, Joan, Tripp, Ava, and Eleanor :P)
