Well, been awhile since I did one of these. What’s going on guys it’s Ghost here back with another Walking Dead review. Now to be honest there's only one thing in this issue that made me want to review it, but we’ll get to that in a bit.

The issue starts directly after the last. Spencer Monroe’s hand-me-downs continues to act tough and over the top, until Luke Cage’s aborted brother steps up tells him to leave. It’s later explained the Commonwealth runs on a class based system, with upper, middle and lower classes. Oh, no… now I know a couple of years ago I, and some other users said we wanted to see Kirkman do more political drama and drift away from zombies, but that was before we knew how bad this series was going to get. The closest we ever got to political tension in this series was the Maggie and Gregory thing, and we all remember how cool that was right? But yeah Kirkman has proved he’s either not a good enough writer or a mature enough writer to handle this kind of thing. The only thing I can hope for is that this all gets quickly buried by another zombie herd attack arc… my favorite.
Siddiq explains that Mercer straight up said he wants to kill all the leaders of the Commonwealth and take over himself, and no one fucking reacts to it. No one! Not even Elodie or Stephanie. If I was gonna be on Pamela’s side like our characters are I’d probably, oh I don’t know, let her know that her head guard wants to kill her? This is basic fucking logic, Kirkman. Holy fuck it’s like he stopped writing and let a monkey take over.
For some reason everyone is fucking ecstatic at the idea of a class system, except Siddiq (Commie Siddiq confirmed???) Including Princess which is kind of odd. I think she was Dough Boy’s attempt at a progressive, feminist-like character, so why would she be in favor of a class system, something that often negatively impacts the poor, women and minorities the most, including in our own world. Kind of an odd stance for your big PROGRESSIVE character, Kirk. Princess reminds me of one of those dumbass liberals that constantly goes “TRUMP LOOKS LIKE A CHEETO XD” while just ignoring all the systemic problems going on around them.
My little Socialist rant aside, we get a typical TWD montage of the group having fun and GOOFING AROUND in this community that several of them were worried about just moments ago. Even Magna, who for once actually made herself noticeable by being the only one with major concerns grows to like it because they play good ol’ AMERICAN FOOTBALL TRUCK YEAH!!! Yumiko even makes a funny joke about eating the “evil people’s ice cream” Man, ain’t she just a little jokester?
Moving on, Pamela prepares to depart for Alexandria, dressed in her finest Russell Coight cosplay, she and her retarded son have a boring conversation and we learn that basically Spencer’s cum stain is such a dick because his daddy died :( If that was Kirk trying to make us feel bad for him, it didn’t work. As expected Michonne decides to stay in the community she knows basically nothing about and gives her only means of self defense to Eugene. See now thats the Michonne I remember, constantly making rash, impulsive and selfish decisions that will probably lead to something terrible later. Kirkman lost his way with her for a bit there, but now I see she's back.
The group departs and now we can get to the part that made me want to make this blog. This weird ass scene between Eugene and Siddiq. Seriously this shit is fucking bizarre, like Kirkman accidentally put some of his fanfiction in the script or something. Siddiq makes an off-hand comment about how Eugene and Stephanie seem to be hitting it off, then Eugene defensively says “WE’RE JUST FRIENDS BRO” and then on the next fucking panel he goes on a fucking uncalled for rant basically saying he can’t wait to impregnate Stephanie. And Siddiq’s reaction to all to all this is just “what the fuck”. Seriously, Kirkman, what the hell was that? Do you even read over your scripts anymore? First you had that weird speech from Dante last issue where he basically told Maggie his tactic with women is to annoy them for so long that they eventually give up and give in to what he wants (which is just horrific btw) And then we have this creepy ass shit from Eugene, also Rosita has been dead for like a month, why is he already having these intimate conversations with her lover? Our characters sure do get over shit pretty fast! Eugene used to be one of the best things in this book, now I can’t wait for him to die, fucking Harvey Weinstein looking ass.
Okay, thats the main thing I wanted to talk about and there’s not much left in the issue anyway, let’s wrap this up. They arrive at the outskirts of Alexandria and Lame Rowena remarks that its a shithole. Ah, more subtle dialogue from the master that brought us “YOU MOCK ME?!” Christ, Kirk, we get it; they’re snobby and upper-class, fuck off already. You’re writing is about as subtle as a Sonic game. Eugene and co somehow manage to get ahead of the Commonwealth people and seem to imply they’re preparing some kind of show of force, just in case the Commonwealth randomly decides to attack. Yeah, I’m sure that’ll go well.
Also, Mercer said Eugene was smart lol.
