Here are twenty more theories for you guys. They will be posted over the course of a few weeks. Feel free to suggest any.
I have some different theories...well, more so "what ifs"...and they aren't for Season 4. They are for "what if things were different". So, here are my different theories.
What if the group decided to keep Randall?[]

If the group had decided to keep Randall, there would be less tension between Rick and Shane (provided that Shane was part of the decision to keep Randall). The main question, though, is 'Would Randall have been dangerous?'. I think he would've been safe. He wouldn't want to side with the guys who left him for dead. He could have become a pretty good asset for the group, and I think he could become a really good walker-dispatcher after his leg heals up. He would also make a good boyfriend for Beth down the road

What if Carl hadn't attracted the attention of the swamp walker?[]

This is a hard question to answer because who is to say the walker wouldn't have gotten out on its own? Anyways, if Carl had left the thing alone, odds are Dale would have survived. However, there is always the possibility of a walker attack, especially while walking in the fields at night. Overall, I think it would have ended up with better results. Dale wouldn't have been attacked that night by the walker.

Allen would have stayed with Woodbury, and odds are, he'd be alive. He would probably have developed a bit as a character, too.

What if Lori didn't go into labor in S03E04?[]

I have two answers for this:
Answer A: If it was before Episode 4, then odds are in her favor. It is possible that she would have been tended to by Carol or Hershel (if he was fully conscious by this point).
Answer B: If it was after, then Carol would have been missing and unable to help Lori (unless it was after "Hounded"). Hershel may have been available for helping Lori.
Overall, I think she would have survived.

What if T-Dog Hadn't Dropped the Keys to Merle's Handcuffs?[]

It would have been likely that T-Dog would have rescued Merle, being goodhearted, lock the cuff that was on the pipe around Merle's other hand (for safety) and catch up with the group.

B) Then Lori would still be alive, or she would have died for some other reasons.

The group would have a lot more tension, but Shane would probably be helpful fighting the Governor/Woodbury. I think this would be true because Shane, being so tough and rutheless, wouldn't tolerate the group being in danger. He would probably be devastated by Lori's death, and blame it on himself and Rick.

What if Daryl Died Instead of Merle?[]

Actually, they were going to kill off Daryl, but decided it would be Merle instead (probably because of the massive riots that would ensue, according to most memes and t-shirts). Anyways, I think Merle would feel a bit upset because he had always been so abusive to Daryl, and I'm sure he'd feel bad about that to some degree. It would be possible that the group would kick Merle out, depending on the scenario of Daryl's death.

I don't think we would have met up with Michonne, or at least as quickly. It would probably be more like the comics. Andrea would have seen through the Governor, because she never would have had to deal with his psychopathic charm. A hard question, Brooks.

Rick would have been able to evacuate the apocalypse with his family, and he would experience the apocalypse first hand. Shane would not have had an affair with Lori, so relationships between everyone would overall be better.

What if Carl Died When Otis Shot Him?[]

Shane would have killed Otis, Rick would have been devastated. The shot would have attracted walkers, lots of 'em. Rick, in his emotional state, would helplessly watch the walkers eat Carl's body. Still sobbing, he would attempt to fight the walkers off and in the end get bitten/eaten. Shane would have died as well.

What if Everyone Swapped Gender?[]

Very interesting question...I think that things would be a lot different. First off, I think it would be interesting to see how Ed (now Edwina) would treat Carol (now, ironically, Carl). I think Edwina would be a big, burly woman who would beat up her little husband.
The Vatos Gang would be a group of tough women...interesting. Rick (now Renee) would have a daughter named Carly and a husband named Lawrence. Glenn would be Glenda, and Maggie would be Mark. Hershel, now Hannah, lost her husband before the zombie apocalypse.

What if the CDC Didn't Self-Destruct?[]

Then Dr. Jenner would be able to work on a cure, keep the group alive in harmony (for the most part), and be able to keep the outside world out. If Jim had made it to the CDC, these two would make the right combo. Odds are there would be a cure in sight, though it could be a little rough.

What if Maggie and Beth Switched Personalities?[]

Maggie would be a lot more shy with Glenn, and it would be less romantic when they were together. She would have been less willing to go on runs, and she would probably attempt suicide. In addition, she would have been easier to crack in Woodbury. On the other hand, Beth would ask Jimmy to go on runs with her. Mostly, the roles would simply be switched.
