REMEMBER ME? POPOZÃO! Or, you know the drill, I have to introduce my nicknames every single blog because... Reasons! Many call me Tommy, some call me Johnny Tommid and few call me Pvt. Joker. Welcome back to my Dank Blog Series! (get it, it's on the title! Because it's dank and it's a series of blogs! Genius!)

So this week I had no fucking clue what to do with this series. With Christmas and New Year's almost here and what not, but I had an amazing idea reading the comments of my last blog! Characters that were actually handled better on the show!

Too bad I didn't notice that blog was already done, and by the very same person who gave me the idea on the first place. (Ooooops. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) I also noted that this caused a massive comment war, so big it completely overshadowed my last blog :((((((((((

Then I had to make up a new theme real quick so I went with one of the easiest ones to talk about. Characters you're looking forward to, and also those you're not looking forward to. So let's not waste any more time, this is my Top 5 Comic characters I'm looking forward the introduction on the TV Show, and 5 I'm not.

Of course, this list contains SPOILERS!
See? Big letters and in bold. Can't tell me I didn't warn you!

Characters I'm looking forward to

5- Aaron

Aaron Issue 68 hjg
When I see the booty

Well, since Robert Kirkman (You know who he is, right?) confirmed on Talking Dead a very prominent homosexual character from the Comic Series would be appearing in Season 5 Part B, this one is a given. It's freaking Aaron!

So, why am I looking forward to Aaron? Well first because Aaron is fucking cool, that's why! Secondly, there's what everyone is talking about. The factor that he's a homosexual character could do wonders to the Show. I mean we had Tara and Alisha before but, let's face it. Even though they were well handled, their relationship was really minor. Also, I'm not the one to judge but I personally think a couple of men would cause a bigger impact than a couple of women. It could raise good points and what do you know, The Walking Dead being "The #1 Show on Television" (urgh), it could very well work in fighting homophobia...

And thirdly, given how the Show often finds ways to develop characters the Comics generally overlooked for a really long time (I'm looking at you, Rosita and Gabriel), I think Aaron could, if well handled, be one of those few characters the Show actually handles better than the Comics, as Aaron seemingly disappeared from the Comic until All Out War. Give the man some love, please.

4- Nicholas

Nicholas 119
Powerful 'stache.

I can already hear the "What? Nicholas? Fucking Nicholas? From all the characters you choose fucking Nicholas?"s... Now, hear me out. Nicholas was always a favorite of mine. He's that guy that isn't by any means nice, but isn't an enemy either. He turned on Rick one time, but he was also a very loyal companion after that. Sounds familiar?

Also he has a pretty awesome 'stache, that's all I need. No, I'm just kidding (It is indeed very sexy, though). Nicholas, even being a very complex character, suffered from being a secondary character in the Comics. He was often pushed to the side in order to show Rick, Andrea, Michonne or Negan/Dwight. As the show has an ensemble cast (well, more or less), I think Nicholas could work very well on there. It could give him more screentime to shine and prove to everyone that he is, indeed, a character worth caring about, and even enjoying.

AND ALSO HAVE I MENTIONED THAT HIS 'STACHE IS FUCKING AWESOME???

3- Douglas Monroe

Douglas2
Douglas_savage.png

Douglas Monroe. Yes, Douglas Monroe. And his family, to an extent, even if that means this guy...

Often seen as one of the most wasted characters from the Comics, Douglas was to me, amazing in every means. He was an interesting character, a good but conflicted leader, and his storyline was neat while it lasted. What pissed me off was his death. Too soon, and didn't accomplish anything, turning him essentially into a plot device for Carl.

The reason why I'm looking towards Douglas in the Show is simply because what Douglas character already is. Douglas basically carried the whole Early Alexandria arc by himself, as everything else happening was rather... bland. His sooner than expected (and not needed) death at the hands of the herd attracted by the battle with the Scavengers ended a very well written character.

And that's another thing about why I'm looking forward to TV Douglas. They often change the characters' life-span, to fresh things up or simply to cover past mistakes. That gives me hope that Douglas can live more on the Show than in the Comics and, needless to say, I'm all down for that!

2- The Anderson Family (Pete, Jessie and Ron)

Pete adaww
The Incredible Abusive Father

Okay I know this is kinda cheating (just kinda) because these are three characters instead of just one. And three is more than one. Just a little bit, but it's still more. But can you blame me? They only work well together, I can't choose just one! LEAVE ME ALONE!

Do I even need to explain why I'm looking forward the Anderson Family on the Series? (I guess I do, there are people who don't read the Comics but read my blogs shieeeeet). The Anderson family is the perfect example of how even the most cliché themes ever (the Dysfunctional Family) can be entertaining if well done.

I said before that Douglas Monroe carried the whole Early Alexandria arc. I lied. While Douglas was really cool there (and I mean REALLY cool), the Anderson family takes the cake on this one. The abusive father, the weak wife that lacks courage to stand up for the abuse, and the kid that's left confused in the middle. It was brilliant.

I originally didn't like this storyline when I first read it but, looking back now, it's great! It showcases real world problems and also works well on the series, showing that people can still be normal people and have normal people's problems. Also, don't you think a medium as big as The Walking Dead would be a great way to raise awareness about this problem that is present not only all over America, but also all over the world, the domestic violence?

It works well on the context of the series, it works well as a message to pass through. And that's why I'm looking forward these characters.

Oh and also Rick needs some booty. Nice and hot. Hot and spicy booty. YEEEAH BOY!

1- Dwight

DWIGHT 2198312
When the bitch bites the dong

What? Dwight is the #1? Really? Yes. Why that? Because I freaking love Dwight's storyline. He's basically the Comic Series fusion of both Daryl (the cool one, not the lame Post-S3 one) and Merle Dixon. Dwight's storyline of betraying Negan and joining Rick against him feels very similar to Merle's storyline of betraying The Governor.

But now you ask me... Wasn't that already done? Wouldn't it be lame to do it again? To me, honestly... No. Merle carried the whole Season 3 by himself and everyone knows how great he was. He was quite literally the only good thing about that Season (inb4 a certain someone rages at the misuse of "literally"). So if something isn't broken, why fix it?

Dwight's storyline was to me, the best thing about All Out War. And the fact that he was introduced so strongly, already killing a fan favorite on his first appearance (!!!) was the icing on the cake. I want Dwight on the Show the exact same way he is on the Comics. Because he is fucking awesome.

Also, "killing a fan favorite on his first appearance"??? Do you see it? A great way to introduce an amazing character and get rid of a really shit fan favorite? MAKE DWIGHT KILL DARYL I BEG YOU, PLEASE AMC PLEASE!!!!

Well, now that I already covered my Top 5 characters I AM looking forward in the Show, let's jump right into the ones I'm NOT looking forward in the Show. Oh boy, here we go...

Characters I'm absolutely NOT looking forward to

5- Holly

Holly sajodfas
Ugh...

Holly is one of the most unlikable characters ever. Period. Now I know she has a fanbase and don't give me that "strong woman" crap, because the Comics has lots of strong women who manage to be likable at the same time. Why is she so unlikable, you may ask? Here, let me explain.

Holly has absolutely NO CHARACTER outside "horny bitch that steals someone else's man". And even in this "character", her "development" is horrendously bad. She does literally (Juan intensifies [I know I already made this joke, ilu]) nothing for her whole life-span and just as she was starting to get some development, even if just a tiny bit, she dies. Simple as that.

Holly adds nothing to the plot and for me, was always a pathetic excuse of a character to create a conflict between Abe and Rosita that wasn't needed, the reason why she's one of my 5 least favorite Comic characters. Given how the Show often omits characters (rip Alice :(), I sure hope they omit this one.

4- The Carson Brothers (Harlan Carson and uh... Carson Carson??)

Harlan109.1
Swiggity Swooty...

Now first, let me clarify this. I don't hate OR dislike the Carson brothers. I just think they wouldn't make a good adaptation on the Show. Why? Because their "storyline" is exactly the same thing they already did with the Dixon brothers.

Now I said that Dwight and Merle are similar, but as Dwight has a major role on the series, big enough to differentiate him from Merle, it would be excusable. With the Carson brothers, well... They're just there. Harlan is pretty much a plot device for when someone needs a doctor and his brother's face basically yells "How do I character?".

I know I'm probably being too harsh on the brothers, as right after All Out War we had the time jump and there isn't much space for brother drama in A New Beginning, and they're probably get their development later on, and as it would take at least a couple of years for the show to get to All Out War (hopefully), maybe they're already different enough from the Dixons to be okay on my book. But as of now... I'd pass them.

3- Shiva

115shiva
SHIVA MAULS A SAVIOR! OMG TOO BRUTAL!!!!

A fucking tiger. Need I say more? Shiva is without a doubt the most over-the-top thing that has ever happened in The Walking Dead. In the apocalypse, some have horses, others have dogs... Ezekiel has a fucking tiger! It's so over-the-top it needs to be in bold TWICE!

I honestly see no way in Hell the Show would be able to pull Shiva off properly. It would be too much work, too dangerous to shoot with and on top of that... It wouldn't be worth it. Assuming the Saviors war takes up just one Season, she would be in like four episodes before she's killed off.

Putting aside my never-ending love for the Comic Series, Shiva was a hit too big for me to take. It pushed the limits of what's acceptable, and one of the few things I hated on the Comics, and I was glad Robert Kirkman apparently realized it was a mistake so he killed her off.

2- Paul Monroe, aka Jesus

6Jesus134
Listen man, I know you're Jesus and shit but can you please not break the laws of Physics?

Okay let me get this out of the way for the "funny" atheists here real quick. A gay kickboxing samurai named Jesus. There, now you have it. This currently Rick's right-hand man on the Comics. After a fellow cop, the obligatory badass black man and a military sargent, now he has Jesus on his right side. Next thing you know Rick Grimes is proclaimed God himself.

Okay, I'm done with the jokes (at least for this one). Why am I not looking forward the introduction of Jesus? Simple. He's a cashcow. Just like DERL DICKSUN (Yeah I like comparing people to Daryl and Merle I think you get that), Jesus is the unstoppable badass that can do pretty much anything he wants, compared to a super-hero (or Jesus Christ himself, what irony) and will still survive at the end. And to top all that, everyone will love no matter what.

We already have one of these, we don't need another. And even then, there's always the chance that this cashcow gets introduced while the other cashcow is still alive, thus giving us a constant struggle to see who's worse. Or even worse, all of Jesus' moments get stolen by Daryl like Tyreese's or Abraham's, and he ends up like a dull and boring character without any of his moments of glory.

1- Negan

Alexandria is Burning

Words cannot describe the image above. That image describes better than anything else what the character of Negan is about. Now, if you're asking yourself "How the fucking fuck is Negan his fucking #1 on the 'not fucking looking forward' list? That's fucking bullshit!", do not worry, anxious and confused child, I'll explain everything to you!

I'm afraid that I'll piss off a lot of people saying this (on the other hand, many will thank me for saying this), but the TV Show is not good enough for Negan. Yes, that's right. This is coming from a fan that loves the Show as much as he loves the Comics. There's just no way the TV Show could make Negan justice.

First, the obvious limitations of the basic cable. You can't say "Fuck" on AMC. This is weird because extreme violence and gore, sex scenes and racism are a-okay, but a single "Fuck" is a no-no. Also they allowed it on Breaking Bad, what the fucking fuck?

But is the extreme profanity really that important to Negan's character? Yes. Everyone I asked about this agrees that Negan without his "fucks" simply isn't Negan. It's really hard to explain but it just shows Negan's personality so well... It's like Axel without his catchphrase (and we know how THAT turned out), Shane without his head rub, it's just not HIM without it.

Also, AMC pussied out like a real pro on The Governor. Watered him down until he was barely recognizable as the character he was supposed to be. I fear that this might happen with Negan too when he comes (he will come sooner or later, just accept it). I don't want Negan's better moments to be completely omitted like the Michonne rape and the Governor torture. I (and a lot of others too, I'm sure) want the real Negan, word by word, fuck by fuck.

It just looks like Negan, who many may agree with me on this, is the face of The Walking Dead nowadays, isn't made for the TV Show. He isn't supposed to be adapted. No matter how hard you try, you can't see a way of him working on the TV Show. He just doesn't belong.

ALSO YOU'RE NOT GETTING THE FUCKING BLOB TO PLAY NEGAN AMC, FIND SOMEONE BETTER FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!

Conclusion

So in this blog I kinda changed the layout, not that anyone cares, I'm just saying... So, did you like this blog? Did you hate it? I'm accepting both love and hate letters on my talk page, go wild!

Also, I'd like to hear from YOU, who are the 5 (or more, or less, you decide) characters you are and the 5 you are not looking forward the introduction on the show. Come down here and... Let'ssssss have that TALK. I'll try to reply as many as I can.

Merry fucking Christmas, a happy fucking New Year and take care, Fuckers. See you next year. Bye! Negan is going to kill me for this
