Alright, so, as everyone on this wiki probably knows (If you dont, you've been living under a rock), Kirkman's fantastical writers' instinct told him that somehow, in the middle of the whisperer war, it was a great time to kill off one of the series' main characters, Andrea. Of course, the toxic side of the fandom decided that the best course of action, instead of mourning the loss of a well-loved, iconic and genuinely beautiful character, was to question Kirkman's writing skills and use the good ol' "THE COMICS ARE GOING DOWNHILL!!!" Excuse.

First off, let me drop a disclaimer. I haven't read most of the comics, but I have popped in to take a look now and again, and I genuinely admire the amount of development, thought and artistic freedom that Kirkman puts into his narrative. So it actually pisses me off when I see people criticicizing him JUST for killing off their favourite character. It's like when some kid watching a TV show sees their favourite character die and screams "I'M NEVER WATCHING THIS TV SHOW AGAIN!!!". Seriously. Grow the Hell up. You weren't complaining about Kirkman's writing abilities before he killed off Andrea. Remember when Hershel was shot in the head? Didn't see anyone complaining there. Remember when Dale had his legs cut off and was tragically put down by Andrea? Again, didn't see you guys whining when that happened. Remember when Glenn LITERALLY had his skull slammed in by a baseball bat laced with barbed wire? Didn't see anyone questioning Kirkman's writing skills when that happened.

I'm getting ahead of myself. If you genuinely believe that Kirkman's writing skills are getting worse, fine. You're entitlted to your own opinion. But what really gets to me, and the entire reason I'm making this post, is the fact that people are going out of there way to openly attack, mock, taunt, provoke and practically bully people who don't agree with them. I read a blog post by another user, Cowardlygurp (You can see the page here ), and he had a very similar opinion to me on the topic. Nobody's perfect, and yeah, Kirkman probably did make a few mistakes down the line. If you hold the opinion that killing off Andrea was one of them, again, fine, but just don't attack people for DISAGREEING with you. The amount of hate, yelling, cursing and downright disgusting behaviour I saw in response to Cowardlygurp's post was downright pathetic, awful, pitiful and purely wretched. Some people went as far to insult his icon. HIS. ICON. On a post that had NOTHING to do with it! GROW A PAIR OF BALLS! He's not "Salty" for disagreeing with you. He's not "Arrogant" for disagreeing with you. He's not "Bigoted" for disagreeing with you. He's entitled to his own damn opinion and the people who attacked him over it (You know who you are) are honestly downright pathetic.

Honestly, the only criticism on his post that stood out to me was "Don't be so patronising" and, honestly, if that's your problem, just.....don't read his blog...it's that simple...

Moral of the story? If people have opinions you don't like, tough shit. There's fuck all you can do about it. If your next instinct is to verbally assault them, you're genuinely a sad, childish Human Being...
