Vanessa is a survivor of the outbreak mentioned in Telltale Games' The Walking Dead: Michonne. She is the wife of Rashid.

Barely anything is known about Vanessa's life prior to or as the outbreak began, except that she was married to a man named Rashid and had two daughters.

"In Too Deep"[]
Vanessa and Rashid were due to trade supplies with Pete and his crew on The Companion when the pair were attacked. Vanessa tried to keep in radio contact with Pete only for Michonne to turn it off or for the signal to fade out. (Determinant) Worried, Pete and Michonne went searching for them despite Oak and Berto being skeptical they were alive.
If you enter The Mobjack through the stairs, Pete will find a photo of Vanessa's and Rashid's two daughters what means that Vanessa and Rashid were on this ferry. It is unknown what became of them after that.

It is confirmed that she died at the Mobjack ferry. It is possible that she may have been tied up and executed by Randall or another Monroe Colonist along with the rest of her family during their attack on the ferry.

- Kent Mudle confirms Rashid and Vanessa's status on Tumblr. "Rashid and Vanessa were at one point the people Michonne had spooky visions of, instead of her daughters... They were always going to be found dead, but now it's just implied they died in the ferry (you see a picture of their kids there I think) but no longer hard confirmed with a corpse". [1]
- Originally Rashid and Vanessa were supposed to appear in the game but it was cut. In-game files contain Rashid's model and based on the location files it is suggested that they took refuge in the Fairbanks' house.
- In-game files heavily imply that this Vanessa and Dominic's neighbor are the same person.[2]
- There is are unused drawings of Rashid and Vanessa that were drawn by their kids. The clothes that Vanessa is drawn wearing are the same clothes worn by the other Vanessa.[3]
