Discussion Policies

The following is a list of all the Discussions Thread policies:


The Walking Dead Wiki's Discussion Threads have a zero tolerance policy on Spamming. Spamming can be defined into several different types, all of which are listed below for reference. Anyone found to be in violation of this policy will be warned just twice, and if the spamming persists for a third time, will be blocked from the discussion threads/wiki itself.

Types of Spamming
  • Mass Spamming - Copy and pasting the same message repeatedly, including copypastas, on the same post or reply multiple times
  • Multi-Replying - Replying to the same post an unnecessary amount of times
  • Gibberish Spamming - Repeatedly posting complete gibberish such as "SkoSGZloddsaa34h6efrdAr4"
  • Image Spamming - Repeatedly posting any type of images back-to-back

Duplicate Threads

It is heavily encouraged that you look up and see if the topic you're about to post about has not been posted recently already (such as an episode summary or discussion about a character's death, etc.), as we aim to avoid too many duplicate posts that may clutter the threads. However, if topic has not been recently posted, say in the past two months, it is then once again fair game and can be posted about.


Necro-posting is defined as To post to a long inactive discussion thread (on a forum). Why is this an issue? For multiple reasons, firstly necro-posting, often with pointless comments like "wow thanks" or "+1", takes away space from the front-page of a sub-forum from those posting genuine posts or having proper discussions. Secondly, it can be annoying to some to get notifications from a old conversation that happened months or even years back.

Here at the Walking Dead Wiki Discussion Threads, we view Necro-posts as replies on content more than two months old or older. Necro-posting one reply from a old message isn't much of a big deal unless it annoys the other users involved, but multiple necro-posts is a cause for a warning, and if not followed, a block. Please try to avoid necro-posting at all costs.


All forms of Harassment are completely prohibited on The Walking Dead Wiki's Discussion Threads. These include, but are not limited too;

Types of Harassment
  • General Harassment - A repeated pattern of behavior intended to scare, harm, anger, bully or shame a targeted individual.
  • Racial Harassment - A repeated pattern of behavior intended to target hate upon people of different ethnicities.
  • Homophobic Harassment - A repeated pattern of behavior intended to target hate upon people who identify as Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Pansexual, Asexual and more.
  • Transphobic Harassment - A repeated pattern of behavior intended to target hate upon people who identify as Transgender or Non-Binary.
  • Xenophobic Harassment - A repeated pattern of behavior intended to target hate upon people from different origins of countries.
  • Religious Harassment - A repeated pattern of behavior intended to target hate upon people of different religious backgrounds, as well as hate upon anyone who doesn't believe as well.

More types of harassment may be added whenever the need arises. Remember, everyone is welcome here at The Walking Dead Wiki and it's Discussion Threads. Nobody should ever feel unwelcome. If you or anyone else feels like they're being harassed by another user, please report it any Administrators. Also remember, the Discussions Threads are not the places to solve personal disputes. If you have an issue with another editor, leave a message on their personal message wall as well as on the message wall of an administrator.

Offensive Language

Obviously highly Offensive Language is forbidden on the discussion threads at all times. Please use common sense. Cases of offensive language will have different punishments depending on the severity, with the maximum punishment being a block from the discussion threads/wiki itself.

User Profiles

Every user here at the Walking Dead Wiki has their own Personal Account Profiles which can always be edited to their wishes, however inappropriate content found profiles, including any signs of the above listed harassment, is strictly prohibited. If found, the user will be blocked from the wiki.


All kinds of advertisements are strictly prohibited on the Discussion Threads. Linking or promoting any unofficial/unrelated product or service will result in a block of roughly one year on the threads, perhaps longer if deemed necessary.

Promotion of fan works, such as Fan Art or Fanfiction, is allowed but must have the off-topic tag and [[Fan Art]] or [[Fanfiction]] in the beginning of the title. The following is an example of an acceptable fam work title;

"[[Fanfiction]] Hey, please check out my new chapter!"

Linking and promoting official TWD content such as posters, interviews, and trailers is always allowed, however posting links to full scenes or episodes, especially when pirated, is strictly prohibited.


Spoilers will not be tolerated. Spoilers are any information that is released prior to the legal release date. If details about an upcoming episode, issue, etc. has been released to the public, it is not considered a spoiler. Please refer to the spoiler policy on this page for more information. Please be courteous to other users, always mark a page with [[Spoilers]] if it contains spoilers from recently released content (Anything less then four weeks old). Images containing spoilers should be avoided. Purposefully spoiling anything for other users or even people outside of the wiki is cause for a block. Post Deletion

All Discussions posts and comments can be edited or deleted at any administrator’s discretion. Administrators will provide a reason for why a forum post or comment is deleted. If you have further questions, leave a polite message on the message wall of the administrator who deleted your forum or comment and they will provide clarification. Remember: Any deleted threads can be restored or have their information gathered by an administrator after deletion.
