The Whisperer Border is a location seen in AMC's The Walking Dead. After Alpha declares all-out war on the Coalition, the border is effectively abandoned by the Whisperers and its use is ended for good when the Whisperers are defeated.
After showing Daryl the massive herd the Whisperers are controlling in a ravine, Alpha informs him of the new border that the Coalition must not cross or have Alpha unleash her horde upon them. At the border, Daryl, Carol, Yumiko and Michonne find a devastated Siddiq and, much to their grief, the reanimated heads of Ozzy, Alek, D.J., Frankie, Tammy Rose Sutton, Rodney, Adeline, Enid, Tara Chambler and Henry on the pikes marking the border. The group puts down and removes the heads before reporting on the massacre.
Some time later, Daryl returns to the border with Lydia who places the Hilltop medallion that Henry gave to her at the base of his pike. As the two leave, it begins to snow.
During the evacuation of the Kingdom, the survivors are forced to risk crossing the border during the blizzard in order to reach the Hilltop. Later, Beta informs Alpha of the violation of the border.
Carol takes Alpha's reanimated head and places it upon one of the pikes at the border. However, she leaves rather than keep her deal with Negan. Beta, Rufus and another Whisperer find Alpha's head and Beta has Rufus bitten by her for calling Beta the new Alpha.
That night, Negan returns with a disbelieving Daryl to show him Alpha's head as proof of his story only to find it gone, taken with him by Beta. The two are ambushed by three Whisperers, but as Negan killed Alpha, they acknowledge him as their new leader. After having fun with his new role for a short time, Negan kills the Whisperers and saves Daryl.
The border appears in the archival footage shown at the beginning of "A New Deal" as Judith narrates past events of the show to the audience before the episode's story begins.
